Just wanted to give a shout out to Customer Service Agent #20 Brian, who helped me with my reservation cancellation, due to Southwest's flight changes. We always hear about the negative, but a little positivity goes a long way. Thank you Brian and Southwest!!!!👍👌😉

Hi, thank you for your reply, but I had already put the correct information in and was getting the error code. My original objective was to find out the expiration date and see if there was any monies left I was really hoping not to have to call customer service and be on hold for hours and hours. Guess I'm out of luck. Thanks for your suggestion though

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help? I have an expiring luv voucher, but keep getting an error code when trying to access with voucher # and code. The notice is telling me to call, but there's no way I'm going to wait on hold for 3 hours. Any suggestions? Thanks, Flo

I totally agree with you. These same 2 guys keep saying over and over and over that "WE" weren't listening to what was being said about the Sept 7 expiration date, but HELLO, how many people already had plans booked after that date, that you just expected them to cancel, so they can rebook a bogus flight, just so they can cancel by that elusive Sept 7 date??? Come on.... why would I cancel a flight I had booked for November that I thought I would be taking???? I'm so tired of these 2 guys making us sound like idiots because we didn't beat the system like thousands (or maybe millions) of people did. I swear you guys work for SW cause you don't have a shred of sympathy for the thousands (or millions) of people who lost money due to being unable to travel.

Don't kid yourself into thinking that customer service will help...they are useless. In my case, my TF expired and I was fully aware and accepting, that for $100.00, I could extend my funds for 6 months and I had up to 6 months in which to do this. As I had been on hold for over 90 minutes waiting to speak with a customer service rep, just for verification because I knew this was not a posted policy, I decided to hang up and sent an email instead. Whoever the rep was, misread my email, thinking I was looking to make the extension and gave me a new expiration date, 6 MONTHS AND 3 DAYS, from my original expiration date!!!!! I HAD 6 MONTHS to do this, giving myself a year in actuality. So, I call customer service again, this time I got through after only waiting an hour and got a most pleasant rep on the phone who said she'll see what she can do.....NOTHING!!! NADA!!! ZILCH!!! SEEMS THEY HAVE A RIDICULOUS POLICY WHERE THEY CAN'T CHANGE WHAT ANOTHER REP HAS DONE!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? SO A REP MAKES AN ERROR AND THEY CAN'T/WON'T FIX IT???? Oh how I loved SW and praised them to all my friends....well now they get NOTHING NADA ZILCH FROM ME!!! SW, you need to fix your policies instead of hog tying your customers

Unfortunately, it does seem like they took my request for information as a request for an extension. I would think that since they made that error, they would at least work with me on correcting it. I only wanted the extension for one month later. The problem was I could never get through to them on the phone, hence the email smh I guess I'll give it another try Thanks for that info anyway Btw, using existing TF, booking a flight and then canceling gave me back my original TF expiration date, therefore making them ineligible for that extension. Believe me, I tried a few times to get that Sept 2022 date with no luck and I wouldn't be in this position now ugh

I have written before on other messages about the September 7th cutoff date and unfortunately, southwest did not honor that extension if you had travel funds expiring after that date...ex: November 2020 as mine were. When I went on there to extend, it said ineligible for extension. I even spoke to a rep who also said there was no extension offered to TF expiring after Sept 7th and perhaps in the future that would change. Well, that time came and went and no such luck. Had to pay the $100 for the 6 month extension. I wish people would get this correct because I've seen it told to many people on different messages....like, oh you should have been more watchful and this wouldn't have happened to you. SMH Also, I was under the impression that I had 6 months to request the 6 month extension when paying the $100 fee with an expiration date of when I paid....haha not so fast, I received an email from them saying they were subtracting the $100 fee from my balance and giving me a 6 month extension to May 2021, without my asking them to do it. Sent an email stating I wanted a later date and was told OH SORRY, doesn't work that way.

I've seen this misinformation on a few different forums written by the same people. If you had TF that were expiring in November 2020 and you used them to rebook a new flight and then had to or chose to cancel them, your expiration date reverts right back to November 2020. What SW was offering with the cancel by Sept 7 and get 2 years extension was for new reservations that were canceled during the 6 month time frame. I tried every trick that was posted on SW Community to get that elusive extension, only to find my TF expiration date revert right back to the original. I would definitely take the advice of chgoflyer and go the route of the $100.00 fee for a 6 month extension. That's what I did. Good Luck

So, all this is well and dandy if you booked a flight after covid began. What about people who, like myself, had travel funds that were expiring in 2020? Mine were set to expire on November 3, 2020 and when I called customer service, I was told that expiring funds will not be given an extension. I don't fall under their criteria!!!! What about all these people in the same boat as I am, who could not fly all these months due to corona? We get NO COMPENSATION.... TOUGH LUCK....TOO BAD!!!!! Sure, I can pay the $100.00 fee for a lousy 6 month TF extension, but why should I when SW was falling all over themselves to give 2 year extensions/rapid rewards to people whose flights were canceled during a specific range of dates??? I understand that many people have decided to start traveling again, but unfortunately, not everyone can. SW take care of all of your customers, not just some.

Wish I had known about it anyway.....even to use for 6 months. They made it really difficult to remember that you even had travel funds. I never remember those confirmation #s to look up. Even though they have made a small improvement, you still have to remember that confirmation. Not always easy when you have multiples. Wish they would just show up once you sign into your travel funds. Guess that's how they make more money!!! SMH

Hi all, I just read, through an answer to someone's question, that for a $100 fee you can transfer expiring travel funds to your RR account? Has this always been the case and if so, how come it's not noted anywhere? I lost hundreds of dollars worth of funds that I would gladly have paid a fee to save. (This was prior to covid) BTW, I was actually on the phone with a rep who told me there was nothing he could do to help me save my funds.

Thank you for your input. I spoke with a wonderful Customer Service Rep from LGA and she did indeed offer me a credit for my inconvenience. This is why I only fly SOUTHWEST....THEY ARE AMAZING

Was delayed on a flight from MSY to LGA on June 23, 2018 due to mechanical issues. When I arrived at stopover, was rushed to connecting flight as it was being held for us. Upon arrival at LGA, luggage had not made the connection. Went to baggage claims office and was told I would get a $50 credit if I chose to come back the next day or have my bag delivered. As LGA is undergoing construction and a horror to go to, plus the toll fees, I chose delivery and was assured it would be there Sunday. Received a phone call that morning that my bag had arrived and was to be delivered and to check my email for a time. Email took me to website for delivery which said, not picked up yet, delivery by 9pm. Didn't happen....called SW baggage claims... Closed!!! Had to stay home from work Monday and wait for delivery. Finally arrived. $50 credit looked real good after that debacle and taking time from work!!!
