Also, you're saying we need to convert travel funds to a travel voucher before the funds expire to get the extra 6 months added?
Morning.
One can only use vouchers to buy flights.
Travel funds may be converted to vouchers
1) no earlier than the day after they expire
2) no later than 6 months after the expiration date.
Vouchers are good for travel for 6 months.

What do you mean there's not enough time left? Right now is the best time to book flights for end of June, and through July. We haven't even reached the best time to buy tickets for August yet, so of course there's time. The only thing I can think of is that based on whatever job you have, you're not allowed to take time off until next year or something. If that's not the case, just take several weekend trips. Fly out Friday afternoon/evening the return on Sunday night or early Monday morning. That may not be your style, but it's the only way to get the vouchers used.

To all, thank you for your responses. This is a health relataed thing where we can't go before they expire.

Sorry to hear it. Yeah, having only a year to travel from reservation date is tough, even before Covid. You could lose 6 months if you were prudent enough to book early.
I wish SWA would give us 12 months from original flight date, but until then, we just have to work within the limitations.

They don’t care a cent about our expiring vouchers nor that covid prevented and is still preventing people from flying. They only want your feee money with nothing in return. Report them to the DOT for unfair practices and never fly them again.
not like SWA will even notice however since they got your money and from 10s of thousands of others in similar situations
