You'll need to get in touch directly with Southwest using one of the methods in the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of page. The Twitter team is available 24 hours a day. Most of us here in the forums are customers.

@cameronlaufer wrote: Concerned that a flight is going to sell out before I can change/add my companion. the flight is sold out of Wanna Get Away fares. Typically, what % of the seats are sold in these fares? Does this mean it is close to selling out? Personally, I would use points to book the flight for the second person you plan to take with on a separate reservation number than yours. I'd do it this now because then you'll know they have a spot so that when they become your companion you can get in touch with Southwest to cancel the points booking and have them immediately added as your Companion on the booking. Separate reservation numbers will make it easy to cancel the point booking ticket as they'll get a separate reservation number anyway for the Companion ticket.

@LAX_Steven1 your best bet is to get in touch directly with Southwest outside of the forums, Twitter reportedly gets the fastest response times (their Twitter handle and other options are in the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the forum pages). There are some Southwest folks here in the forums but the folks you've tagged stop by when they get a chance and their areas of expertise are in other areas. Best bet for a timely response is the Contact Us link.

This is a pretty frequent topic in the discussion forums and most of us here are customers too so if you're looking for a response directly from Southwest I recommend clicking the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the forum pages. Twitter reportedly gets the fastest response. Do note that many medical conditions are not visible.

I've never checked ski equipment but here is the Southwest wording with the source (bold italic emphasis added by me): --> start quote (source: https://www.southwest.com/html/generated/help/faqs/special_luggage_faq.html)<-- Sports Equipment - Baggage Allowance Any of the items listed below may be checked in substitution of one piece of the free Checked Baggage allowance for each Passenger at no charge on a one-item-for-one-bag basis. If the item of sporting equipment exceeds 50 pounds in weight or 62 inches in size (outside length plus height plus width), excess weight and size charges may apply. Snow ski equipment, including skis or snowboards, ski boots, and ski poles: including one pair of skis or one snowboard, one set of poles, and one pair of ski/snowboard boots encased in a container(s) acceptable to Carrier. When substituting ski equipment for a free bag, Southwest Airlines allows up to two bags (containing one set of snow skis, ski poles, and ski boots) to count as one item, even if they are packed and tagged separately. Note: Snow ski equipment will not be subject to excess size charges. However, excess weight charges may apply. --> end quote <--

Nobody is going to measure your carry on bag, if you can fit it under the seat then you're good.

I'm sorry to read about your illness (I'm another customer too), but Southwest offers different fare classes, to include refundable (Anytime and Business Select) but they cost more. See this public web page for detail: https://www.southwest.com/html/air/fare-information.html Third party travel insurance is always an option too.

This is slightly off topic but the original post reminded me of when I was little and I used layaway at Gemco to buy my very own Atari 2600. I stayed up ALL night playing Space Invaders when I was finally able to bring it home. I would have been very sad to lose it 😞 so I'm really hoping the Nintendo Switch makes it back "home".

For context my understanding is that everything is sent to a central facility located in Alabama then matched to the lost reports. I've seen multiple reports of successful reunions reported here in the forums, especially when serial numbers are included. It seems like it usually takes 10 days or so but it can take longer for it to make it back to you. I can't imagine how many items are left on planes every day so I don't know what other process they could use...

@Lsmith511 double checking, did you file the online report? That's where you would enter the serial number if you have it: https://live.nettracer.aero/southwest-paxview/lostandfound/landing.do

When I look my dashboard the position is no longer there nor is coming up on the site as an open position. Does anyone know what this means? See if the following Southwest Careers FAQ link helps, look at the 8th question, "I received a confirmation email for a submitted job bid; however when I view my dashboard, the job isn’t listed. Where did it go?" https://careers.southwestair.com/faq Several positions have job specific pages so my *guess* is that you'll be able to find the appropriate link to your job on the list. Good luck!

So I could make her my companion for the first trip, change to someone else for another trip this year (a friend to go somewhere with us) then back to my wife before December 31st so that my wife will be my first companion in 2021. You're correct. It's easy to change your companion, it's a pretty quick call to Southwest and they make the change. Just make sure you've completed any of your travel with your current companion before you make the switch!

I don't know if this will help you, but I am probably never as relaxed and excited as I am when I am about to board a plane. It may sound crazy but for me it's the feeling of freedom. Here is the Southwest link for boarding: https://www.southwest.com/html/travel-experience/boarding-the-plane.html If you're traveling alone I personally don't feel like it's worth getting worked up about boarding, it's a pretty straight forward process. Traveling with my family can be a little different because in an ideal world we'd like to sit together but it's not guaranteed with Southwest 😞 Give yourself plenty of time at the airport then you can go explore before it's time to board. I'll stop there, I'm sure you'll get tons of tips but let us know if you have more questions. Have fun!!!!

Southwest hasn't published the schedule yet, expect them to publish more dates next month. Here is the link that shows the following wording, "We are currently accepting air reservations through August 10, 2020. On March 12, 2020 we will open our schedule for sale through October 31, 2020. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently." https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/index.html?clk=GSUBNAV-AIR-SCHEDULES
