From Southwest Facebook:
Picture this: you’re on a Southwest flight. It’s the Southwest you know and love. Your bags were free and your Flight Attendants were friendly and funny. But, your phone is at 1%. You’re used to it though. You’ll just have to charge up when you land, you think to yourself.
THINK AGAIN.
Today, we announced our plans to add in-seat power to our aircraft, as well as improve our WiFi, add more overhead bin space, double our free inflight movie options, broaden our beverage options, and so much more. No, the changes won’t happen overnight, but we’re excited to share our plans with you. Learn more about the exciting changes coming your way: https://swa.is/experience

Ah, does it? I wasn't exactly sure where the security questions came into play. I figured as long as you got an e-mail to reset your password, you should be able to at least do that.

I honestly don't get why seat saving bothers some people. I fly solo, and I have never once had an issue getting a seat I want. It's just not that big of a deal where I sit on the plane - front, back, window, aisle - even center. As long as I am on the plane and it's going to its destination, I don't care where I sit, and I don't care if a family of 6 saves 2 rows so they can all sit together. So be it. Why break up a family? Why make this a big deal? It's a true first world problem.

Every airline on planet earth has had long wait times for the past 2 years thanks to something called a global pandemic. We are not back to "normal" yet largely due to staffing and other issues.
Send Southwest a message on social media and don't spend time tying up the phone lines for a TSA Precheck question that likely isn't a Southwest problem to begin with.

From the same page:
Professional packaging by alcohol and wine suppliers (e.g., cruise lines, wineries, duty-free shops) is acceptable as long as the contents have adequate cushioning, and the packaging prevents leakage.
Seems like a suitcase built especially for wine meets the requirement.

No way! I am sorry you missed your flight because the gate changed. Normally they make plenty of announcements and if you look up your flight on the monitors you should also have seen the change? Even your mobile boarding pass should have updated with the new gate number.

Looks like calling is the only way to make the initial payment but the final payment has other options:
How do I make a payment?
Submit Deposit: A $50 per person deposit may be required to hold a reservation after your initial booking. Credit card is the only approved form of payment for the deposit. Payment may be made by calling 1-800-433-5368.
Submit Final Payment: If you have already submitted a complete name list (for International travel name templates must include Passport information), payment may be made by calling 1-800-433-5368 to pay over the phone, using a credit card, UATP, or PayPal before the final payment due date. If paying via wire transfer, please call or email GroupTravel@wnco.com at least seven business days before your final payment due date to receive the detailed instructions for sending your wire transfer.

India's SpiceJet under investigation after severe turbulence injures passengers
Key part of article:
CNN affiliate News18 reports that the autopilot function on the B737-800 aircraft stopped working for two minutes mid-flight, resulting in the crew manually flying the plane until it recovered.
As a result, the aircraft experienced dramatic turbulence, which caused some overhead bins to open, items to spill out across the plane and emergency oxygen masks to drop. Fifteen people -- 12 passengers and three crew members -- were hospitalized after the plane landed at Durgapur's Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (RDP).
---------------
This seems incredibly hard to believe. How could 2 minutes of non-autopilot flying cause that much turbulence? If the plane was on autopilot, wouldn't there be the same amount of turbulence for those 2 minutes? It doesn't make any sense. It gives the impression that without autopilot, the pilots don't know how to fly the plane. (Maybe they don't - which is scary!)

Getting nonstop flights anywhere out of Philly is like seeing Big Foot in real life - impossible lol. The farther you travel, the more likely you are to have flights with stops. Cities that seem to have a decent amount of nonstops still is Chicago and Nashville.
Try looking at non-peak days, though. Sunday June 26 MCO > PHL does not have any nonstops, but Saturday June 25 has several, but they are pricy thanks to the state of the world / rising gas costs / etc. Nearly $700 roundtrip to/from MCO is absurd ...

That's impossible. Everyone on the plane can't have the exact same status - if they did, what would that status be and how would everyone be able to line up if they were all the same? What the customer service rep probably meant that everyone would have the same "chances" as everyone else once everyone was able to check in. It just wasn't clear to you or anyone when the check in problem was resolved, and I agree that is frustrating.

Southwest changed an 8AM flight to leave at 5:30AM for me ... lol. And there's really no better alternative. If I wanted to change it now, I might gain an hour, but flights jumped in price so it's not worth it. I have also been flying for more than 10 years and made A-List this year.
Schedule changes happen and flight paths change.

As one who books through Southwest Hotels quite regularly, allow me to respond to your various points:
False Ad - It is not false. Just because it says "Free Cancellation - No Prepayment Needed" on the start page of a hotel, does not mean that every hotel room offers this. Once you click "See Availability" to see what rooms are available, some rooms are actually non-refundable, as shown below. If you choose the non-refundable rate, you will not be refunded. If you DO book a free cancellation offer and you wait until the very last minute, you will be charged as well. Hotels generally give you until a few days prior to your stay to cancel for free. Notice my screen capture says you must cancel by "May 10" - my reservation starts May 14. If you try cancelling on May 11-14, you are out of luck:
Terrible Rules - Not sure why you didn't just cancel and rebook with the dates you wanted, or go to your existing reservation and change the dates online? Considering no prepayment was even needed (presumably) for your reservation, any difference in price wouldn't even matter until you actually check in/out of the hotel and are charged at that time.
You lose or lose - I have never heard of a $25 cancellation fee, but then again, I always cancel within the cancellation window and I do everything online. It's very possible they charged an extra fee because you were calling. Why didn't you make your changes online? Don't say you didn't know how.
Customer service and needing to talk to "supervisors" should be a total non-issue had you done everything yourself online.

It's a common misconception. Southwest Vacations is not operated by Southwest directly, but by a third party. Despite this, it is still a Southwest product and service, Southwest just doesn't operate it themselves.
Southwest Hotels is similar - Booking.com runs that operation.

I don't mean to be rude - but why on earth would you do this? An hour isn't a huge difference, and things change. It makes no difference if you travel solo or if you have 10 kids. You should always plan to be at the airport for the originally scheduled departure time.

This sounds like a nightmare, especially on your wedding night - I'm sorry that happened to you.
Phone lines are notoriously busy since the pandemic started in 2020 - I always have luck reaching out to Southwest via private message on social media. They have always gotten back to me same-day with a resolution.
I do find it strange that they cancelled your flight and did not try to reschedule it. I suppose it can happen, but in my experience they always try to put me on the next available flight out. Considering you say your flight was supposed to leave "early" the next day, it's even stranger that Southwest did not simply move you to a flight leaving later that day.

If I purchased a flight using a LUV voucher and the price drops, how do request a refund for the difference in fare? Is the refund put back on my voucher?
Go to your flight reservation and click "Change Flight" and rebook the exact same flight that now has the different (lower) price - the difference in fare will be credited back to you on your voucher. You can do this for any flight with any payment method - if you had paid with a credit card, you would receive travel funds for the difference in fare which are tied to your reservation number (and you can see the balance in your account).

Here are the current sale details:
Save up to 45% when you buy Rapid Rewards Points by 5/20/22
Buy 3,000-9,000 points get 35% off
Buy 10,000-14,000 points get 40% off
Buy 15,000 or more and get 45% off (Best Deal!)
Examples of the sale price:
Buy 5,000 points for $89.38 (regularly $137.50)
Buy 10,000 points for $165 (regularly $275)
Buy 20,000 points for $302.50 (regularly $550)
Buy 50,000 points for $756.25 (regularly $1375)
This sale literally started yesterday, so your earlier screen shot did not reflect this current sale, but if you look now, it should. I just checked it myself, and the Buy Points page reflects this sale with these discounts. The sale is valid from 4/19 - 5/20/2022.
Also, one thing to remember with points - using points to redeem a flight does not count towards your # of flights for the year to retain A-List (and above) status, so something to keep in mind. I've purchased points in the past to top off my points and get a very-close-to-free flight, but considering I want to keep A-List year after year, I'm letting my points build up and I'm trying not to use them.

I booked an airfare for two, hotel, and a rental car package deal with Southwest Airlines to Texas for the dates of 11/24/2022- 11/26/2022 which I choose the option to pay with a payment plan option Southwest Airlines provided through Uplift as a third party company at the time of purchase. On 11/24/2022, upon arriving at Motel 6 my 14 y/o daughter and I chose to stay at another hotel due to the poor sanitary/living conditions of the motel booked. Although disappointed by the roo, I was able to get a refund receipt from the hotel manager immediately. However, after multiple unsuccessful attempts of calling Southwest Airlines, I have not been able to get anyone from Southwest Airlines to even return my call or respond via email. I have been told multiple times by Uplift, the third party payment plan company, that Southwest Airlines needs to refund the funds from there end. In the mean time, after almost 6 months and repeated attempts to get someone on the phone/email, o one has returned my calls and nothing has been done to rectify this issue. Now my card is at risk of being charged for things I never used. Unhappy Customer
I'm confused on a multitude of levels.
First - did this trip happen in the future? You say you mention November 2022 multiple times - I just checked my calendar, and we are in April 2022. I assume you meant November 2021.
Second - you got a refund "receipt" for the room because you didn't end up staying there. OK.
Third - considering this happened *6 months ago now* you should have been charged ... 6 months ago. You used your airfare and rental car and should have gotten refunded only for your hotel portion by now. However, considering you did not stay at the hotel, I don't know how they would have communicated that back to Southwest Vacations.
Fourth - my dude it's a Motel 6. They aren't that bad - I have stayed at a Motel 6 twice in LA because it was a cheaper hotel close to the Walk of Fame and the Greek Theatre lol but honestly I don't understand the argument that it had "poor sanitary/living conditions." It's a freaking Motel 6. Were you expecting a 5 star experience? If such a hotel is beneath you, you never should have booked it to begin with. I say cut your losses and move on. Motel 6 rates are not expensive, anyway, and if it's been 6 months and you still haven't been refunded your money which I am willing to bet is less than $99/night I doubt you ever will.
