That;s strange.
My experience is that pre boarding starts at 30 minutes, and general boarding starts at about 20 minutes. - of course that is dependent on the number of pre boarders.
I think the SW policy is that if you are not at the gate at 10 minutes, then they have the ability to give your seat away.
It was only this one time for me, but they were ready to go at the 30 minute mark and had fully boarded the plane except for us and I don't recall now if they were calling any names over the speakers. Actually I didn't hear them call ours, we just saw the gate area and were like "oh nice, they are just finishing up boarding the earlier flight so we have plenty of time" and then realizing there was no one else sitting down that it was actually our flight.

My points are also missing from the 7/14 billing cycle. Glad to hear that its not just me. I did get my tier qualifying points, but the usual entry labeled 'Rapid Rewards Credit Card Points' did not post yet.

what if different terminal ?
Both Midway and BWI can stay in the airside and get between concourses.
That is a good point - I once had to go through security in PHL because I flew Southwest from MDW to PHL, but then US Airways from PHL to GSO, and the concourse with the regional jets for US Airways wasn't connected to the Southwest concourse. There was a bus connection on airside, but it was faster to exit security and re-enter. I think this particular one is fixed now.
But in the vast majority of cases if you are staying on the same airline you won't have to leave security.
If you are changing airlines then yes you would, for one thing your checked luggage won't be transferred regardless of the gates. And then it would be possible at some airports that there are terminals or concourses that aren't able to be connected by walkways when tranferring airlines.
I believe OP was on Southwest the whole way though.

Sounds like you were on a flight that was delayed due a ground stop. If that's so, you'll want to check the airline's flight status and keep in touch with the gate/flight attendants.

I cannot tell if this is a serious question or a joke.
But IF, and IF a gate agent puts everyone on the wrong plane, I find that hard to believe given that the QR code on the boarding pass is matched to you and the flight. That gate would also have to be aligned with your flight otherwise the system will bounce your boarding pass back indicating the wrong flight.

I booked a flight and have added the early bird check in, how long does it usually take to get the credit for the benefit on my Chase card?
I think you are thinking of the "Upgraded Boarding" which you can buy the day of the flight if it is offered - these are the remaining A1-A15 positions.
If I'm thinking of the same Chase benefit it doesn't apply to EBCI.

I believe before Covid you could find a credit by credit card number I’m not sure if that’s still the case but you can always call Southwest and hopefully they can assist.
also you might search for the booking email that was sent when the reservation was made

I think the individual is asking if anyone found out the source of the burning wire smell on a flight from Los Angeles to Seattle. I'm not sure why this would be the forum to ask, but I guess no one knows.
Myself, I wondered if any of the "heated" debates on this board were the source?

I booked this as one reservation - a round trip ticket between LA and Austin. For my outbound flight, there were no early morning direct flights between LA and Austin, so I chose one with a layover in Las Vegas. My return flight is a direct flight from Austin to LA. I did not make separate reservations for these flights, it was booked as one round trip ticket. I received one confirmation number for the entire round trip itinerary. Perhaps something has changed with how Southwest handles check ins for connecting fights? I'd be happy to share my confirmation number with someone if that would help me get a better position on my LAS-AUS fight, but it leaves tomorrow morning.

This is amazing, I had no idea!
It would probably work better now with the 737-800's, but also the package business has picked up on weekends so they probably don't have idle assets like they used to.

Most will show up as a flight credit in your account for an amount equal to purchase.
If you had unusual circumstances, you could call Southwest CS and request a refund.

Not necessarily. Despite your own costs, there is market competition. You might have to keep a price at a certain price point to maintain your presence. In the long run, it won't work but a business does not come and go based upon daily costs.
If watch the Southwest pricing model, I can typically recover 1/3 of the cost of the initial ticket by checking the pricing model as the time to the flight gets nearer. I use those credits on future flights so that is a smart Southwest strategy as well.
I was surprised on my last flight from MCO to PIT where I flew round-trip for $265. More than half of the original fare got recovered as the prices dropped.

Typically at least in the middle of the planes four of these would fit next to each other.

737-800 and Max aircraft have a little larger bins and you might get six stacked on their thinnest side.
737-700 especially at the front and rear are a little tighter.
Very tight at the front few rows.

While the fee for checked bags may be an added expense for passengers, it's a standard practice among many airlines, and SWA has made efforts to be transparent about their fees and offers competitive pricing in other areas.
