That's right - you'll have to look each one up by confirmation number and their own names, the funds will be issued to each passenger for Wanna Get Away fares.

Or do as SoCalFlyer97 does. Use the credit card but budget the expenses with the take-home pay income and pay the statement balance at the end of each month if at all possible. SoCalFlyer97 is not a fan of holding expensive credit card debt.

I leave my winter coat in the car. Walking from the parking garage only takes a couple of minutes and I can put up with the cold for the sake of not having to lug a coat around.
People have certainly seen me waiting in the vestibule at Economy Parking garage at MDW without any coat since I was headed somewhere warm and wouldn't need it.
The main risk of this is for late flights back to MDW sometimes the buses have been off schedule and a long wait and long line, and you can't wait in the vestibule going in that direction or you'll never board while there's a long line. In that case one time I called an uber, went out to the median and yelled over towards the line "who wants a ride to the economy garage?" and actually had a pilot hop out of line to ride over with me. Glad to help him get back to his home earlier!

Yep...The date of the flight is also part of the confirmation number embedded in the barcode data. That means if one has two separate bookings from SAN-LAS for example, one in the fall and one in the spring and the passenger saved the fall boarding pass as a souvenir following the fall trip, its barcode will 'bonk' and not work for the later spring trip; the separate boarding pass issued for the spring trip is to be used.

I had same issue with never getting a confirmation email. I wanted to cancel the hotel room but the hotel said I had to go through SW (ie Bookings). I paid extra at time of reservation in order to have a refundable room (with covid out there I was worried I might need to cancel or something else might come up--which did). I used the concierge phone number provided above and got an AI bot asking for my confirmation number which I don't have. I kept keying in 0 and after several go rounds the AI gave me a live person to talk to. She confirmed it was a refundable room reservation since I was cancelling several days before the deadline. She asked several questions and cancelled the reservation (for which I did get a confirmation email). I have used SW hotels in the past without a problem. I won't use SW Hotels again without saving a PDF or screen shot of the reservation screen. I have been using SW hotels in order to get the Rapid Reward points btw.

Gift cards are activated once the buyer scans the card at the self-checkout cash register and finishes the transaction. If you're getting the card from a wholesale club like Costco where there are cardboard card "tickets" of such products, you can also use self-check out, pay for the gift card there, and then take the receipt and ticket to the merchandise pick up area where the clerk will activate the physical card.
For large denomination gift cards (e.g. $500) that I don't get from Costco, I would use a regular checkout lane so that the clerk verifies the transaction is all good, or use the self-checkout but have the self-checkout attendant clerk verify the transaction. I would also use the regular checkout lane for large gift cards purchased at the drug store like CVS whenever the self checkout area is not staffed.

Financial, or tech? 12 dollars to Southwest better then 0, unless the more people makes more jet fuel?
It's more valuable to hold that seat for an A-list or Business select customer that needs to change flights. I'm sure there is a break-even amount that would make sense to fill it rather than fly empty and that number might be in the $20's or $30's for short flights.
But the strategy is definitely to get the flight booked earlier and charge more later because you can (the flight is worth more, especially last minute business flights that will pay).

You can cancel your boarding pass and change your flight, then check back in.
You'll be taking your chances with the boarding position that you get last minute, and also if the flight is full this would be a minor risk of not getting your seat back but it should work if you use the "change flight" function instead of the cancel and rebook approach - the change shouldn't go through unless you actually get your new flight.
I don't see any reason they would offer a voucher for it, but you can get travel credit if the price was lower and you changed your flight.

Hello @CupCrusher40
I assume you're asking what happens to the rain water on a the aircraft's windows when it rains. The speed of the plane typically is fast enough to completely air-dry the raindrops on the windows with no traces of them once the plane goes above the storm. Here's a few shots from a descent into a rainy SMF last from March toward the close of the wet 2022-2023 winter season:
The sun shines above the rainstorm at 39k feet. Looks like a giant glass of milk out there!

No - in rare cases I've seen BS apparently sold out while there were still WGA fares left.
1-15 - get them while they are hot!
I don't think there should normally be any limit on Anytime though - if Anytime is sold out, the flight is sold out.
All of the others could be blocked from sale for one reason or another but still have seats open.

Omaha is fairly close, I think that would be the recommended destination. IMO Southwest won't likely be serving Lincoln.
Edit: it takes me an hour to drive to MDW from my home most days, I don't see any issue for people from Lincoln to drive to OMA for connections to the wider network.

Money lost if flight needs connection, 3 hours later etc right?
Because of what is projected to be Tropical Storm Hilary passing through SoCal, Southwest currently has a weather travel advisory in place for all SoCal Airports as well as LAS from now through this Monday 8/21. Also for Cabos SJD until tomorrow. That means passengers may adjust their bookings at no additional charge even if the rebooked flight turns out to be a flight with a connection:
Friday-Sunday, August 18-20
Los Cabos, MX - SJD
Sunday-Monday, August 20-21
Burbank, CA - BUR Las Vegas, NV - LAS Los Angeles, CA - LAX Long Beach, CA - LGB Ontario, CA - ONT Orange County/Santa Ana, CA - SNA Palm Springs, CA - PSP San Diego, CA - SAN Santa Barbara, CA - SBA
Per the advisory:
Customers holding reservations to, from, or through the cities listed above on the corresponding dates and want to alter their travel plans may rebook in the original class of service or travel standby (within 14 days of their original date of travel between the original city-pairs and in accordance with our accommodation procedures) without paying additional charges.
In addition per the advisory, Southwest is allowing passengers during the advisory period who are originating or heading to any LA-area airport to change the origin/departure location to any other LA-area airport (e.g. passengers scheduled to fly out of LAX during advisory period may change their booking to fly out of ONT, LBG, BUR, etc).

Just in: soon you can standby on another southwest flight regardless of your fare class and Business Select customers will get free Wi-Fi!
i’m curious for A List A List preferred customers what are your thoughts on this change since you could be on standby with a lot more people certain times of the year. Keep in mind it’s only standby where A list still gets same day confirmed.
I'll weigh in as I usually book WGA+ (non A-List).
I think the Same-Day Standby policy change was necessary considering competing legacy carriers were doing the same. Since the benefit appears to be morphing into a standard feature across the airline industry, it makes sense in my opinion for Southwest to offer it too. Since Southwest generally does not like to upcharge for such "basics", I think this had to be done.
We should keep in mind two factors: Same-Day Standby List is different from Same-Day Flight Change (both currently included with A-List and WGA+ fares or higher). Of all the times that I've needed to use either of the Same-Day change benefits under WGA+, I have only needed to use Same-Day Flight Change; I have not needed to use the Same-Day Standby List benefit. It appears that non A-List'ers who purchase WGA fare will not get the Same-Day Flight Change benefit.
Regarding A-List, I don't think there's much to worry about because I assume A-List'ers will still retain their priority order on the Standby List based on fare, being placed only behind those who are re-accommodated due to flight disruptions and in front of everybody else. As for me who books WGA+, the policy states that non A-List WGA+ fare also remain ahead of WGA and behind A-List.
With all that being said, I think the A-List is long past due for much needed value upgrades. I would propose a number of add-ons to A-List so that this program too can better compete with the other carriers.
Example suggested perks to add to A-List combined with all existing perks:
A-List: Free Wi-Fi Transferrable Flight Credit for WGA Standand Plus Priority Pass Reimbursement (10 lounge visits per year) 100% TSA PreCheck or Global Entry enrollment Reimbursement 25% CLEAR enrollment Reimbursement
A-List Preferred:
All A-List perks above plus
Premium Beverage Prestige Priority Pass Reimbursement (unlimited visits) Free Companion Upgrades to Business Select Board after A30 if positioned at A31 or behind 100% CLEAR enrollment Reimbursement
Agree with all of this!

To ensure your coffee pot doesn't overheat, make sure it's placed on a flat, stable surface away from any flammable materials. Regularly clean the heating element and vents to prevent dust buildup. Follow manufacturer guidelines, use a properly rated extension cord if needed, and never leave the coffee pot unattended while brewing.

Is it possible to make flight number bigger at gate on TV
Hello-
The graphic designs seen on the Gate Monitors appear to vary by airport--the airport manages some; others have Southwest's innovative digital wayfinding feature that I assume Southwest manages. Do you happen to have a picture of the gate monitor in question? Examples below. If not, which airport and which gate # are you referring to? That will help determine who to forward your suggestion to.
E.g. Airport-managed gate monitors:
SAN, Terminal 1 (west airside wing)
SAN Terminal 1, (east airside wing)
LAS Terminal 1, (B Gates Wing)
SMF Terminal B:
Airline-Managed Gate monitors:
