Despite what the legal scholars tell you on this forum, answering the questions truthfully is the only way to go. If you had post high-school education and omitted that from the application, that is grounds for termination at some future point if you were employed.
Employers do not like to retain people who have misrepresent any type of fact on their application. I cannot imagine that your "other" choice had anything to do with your candidacy but I can assure you, omitting facts is not a good idea.
On another board, we used to refer to people following legal advice on the forum as clients of "The University of Waxed Bar Stool".

I would not pay a dime to upgrade my boarding position. You have no way to predict how many seats will be filled by the time you do get on board.
Due to Southwest architecture of seating policy, the preboard people get on first and have the first choice of the "open seating", except the exit row. After a tidal wave of preboard people (given the duration of the flight I suspect you will have a bunch), then A starts, etc.
Keep your money - find a seat.

There is a lot of hostility on this board aimed at people who preboard.
I really don't understand this - just because they do back flips and acrobatics all the way to the gate and then "self identify" as a person with a disability, suddenly everyone is angry with them?
Doesn't add up to me.

In another post, someone got really upset about preboarding. The discussion turned very toxic and I reported the hostility.
Southwest came and closed the subject.
I really do not get all of the hostility on this board. Just because someone preboards?

I fail to understand what this is all about. Your boarding numbers are in sequence and you will go on the plane in succession.
This is done every day since Southwest first began flight.

That's a great experience for people and great service. I love these stories compared to the nonsense when someone gets their flight delayed or someone preboarded ahead of their business select, or when they don't get the entire can of soda, etc.

Yeah, Southwest goes to great lengths to provide great service and people squabble over preboarding, late flights, and so on. Let them fly another airline.

I preboard on EVERY SINGLE FLIGHT as it is my right under the Air Carrier Access Act. Under the law, I can do back flips and acrobatics all the way to the gate and then "self identify" as a person with a disability and I preboard.
You need to get over the preboard people. It happens on every flight, but with Southwest it is their mess by having unassigned seats.
I have read the Act many times. There is no provision for restricting passengers, other than the exit row issue. However, the Act does not specific any time limits for a passenger who "self identifies" as a person with a disability.
That same person can "self identify" and then withdraw their claim after they walk onto the plane. That is their right.
Fly another airline. This constant complaining about preboarding gets old.

This nonsense needs to be addressed. I am in favor of a lifetime ban on air travel in the US to the offender(s).

I have concerns with one passenger giving their ticket to another as this breaks down the entire security platform.
Checking a little says that this is a Federal offense and trying to board as someone else, no matter how innocent the reasoning may be, is a problem.
I've called Southwest and alerted them to this issue and this thread. There are enough gaps in security without you creating more.

I like unassigned seating. I think Southwest is a very progressive and fun airline.
I used to fly Delta and moving to Florida, Southwest is the main thing. I have a lot of fun on Southwest flights.
People need to quit squabbling about everything under the sun.

I have been reading the posts on this board for a few months now and it seems that there is a lot of anger and hostility among Southwest customers. These frustrations and anger are centered around the following subjects:
1.) squabbling over who gets to board first
2.) squabbling over Internet connectivity
3.) squabbling over pricing policies
4.) squabbling over baggage
5.) squabbling over how wet the water is
When I flew Delta, I never read this kind of never-ending drama. Somehow on Southwest, everyone is angry and hostile about flying from here to there. If I was this angry, I'd drive my car.
I invite those of you who are unhappy about everything to go somewhere else.

My suggestion is that you actually LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT before buying tickets.
When you buy tickets outside of your account, it is a little hard for Southwest to match those to your account [eyes rolling].
As far as the hospital, etc you are on the wrong message board.
Speaking of board...

I recently settled an insurance claim with a certain cell phone insurance company where the coverage originated from one of my bank credit cards. The bank kinda sounds like "Fells Wargo".
The contract is between myself and "Fells Wargo" so when the claim was delayed, I wrote to their CEO. My claim was approved and when I had the money transferred to my account, in order to transfer the money, there were two additional questions that were required:
1.) my occupation
2.) my age range
Neither had anything to do with my claim, but I had to indicate something to get paid.
After I got paid, I sent a bill to "Fells Wargo" for $10 for providing demographic information that was not part of the claim itself. Yes, they paid me the $10.

Boarding together and sitting together are two separate issues. If you purchased the tickets all at once, the boarding positions are likely in sequence.
Since Southwest has unassigned seating, where you sit depends upon open seats.
So, are you worried about boarding or sitting together?

That's what I always told my business peers. For any meeting, I flew in the night before. PERIOD
I have watched people stroll in after lunch many, many times when the meeting started at 8:00 AM. You basically wasted your time if you missed more than half of the day.
Getting people to change is like getting a mountain to speak.

I don't care for your tone either.
Anyone with a disability has rights and I am beyond tired of the complaining that someone gets on a plane before them, etc. etc. etc.
The number of posts about everyone bickering about seating is so old I can't describe words for it.
Fly Delta. I used to when I was in Atlanta. Get your assigned seat and ride First Class like I did for 20 years

You all need to get over this. People with disabilities have rights. If a doctor certifies that they have a service animal, then that's the way that it is. I sit beside people in the FRONT ROW on nearly every flight that have a service animal.
Yes, I preboard and themiddleseat get aggravated that I do so, but I could care less.
I like the service animals and I preboard.

Federal laws governing the issue of credit do not permit any type of punitive reaction from the lender where they believe you will get the card and just sit on it, so they are not going to issue the card.
If you have excessive debt, then the decision to deny credit is legitimate.
My response was viewed as a solution, so let's leave it at that.

I have cards that I typically pay in full BEFORE the statement date. I get all of the points and rebates and never have a balance. Some of these cards have a $200k credit limit.
The fact that the credit report knows my credit limit, but sees no balance reflects favorably and my credit score hovers between 830 and 850.
If you want, pay it off before the statement date, but leave $1 open. Then, pay the $1 after the statement produces. You will be utilizing near zero credit and you get the both of both worlds.

You are going to have to go back and review the terms of use and/or contract with Southwest. They likely cover all of this including no accommodation for cancelled flight.
Back in the good ole days, airlines put you up for the night, etc. but with competition and a consumer DEMAND for lower fares, something had to go.
Would you have been willing to pay an extra $40 for your ticket to have a guaranteed accommodation?
