Gate agent. Not the one standing by the boarding door, but the one at the desk. There's usually a small sign on the counter that says something about asking for a better boarding position. What's your current assigned boarding position?

Are you looking to change the ticket to Business Select or do you you just want the upgraded boarding position? With a points booking I can't think of any benefit other than the upgraded boarding position and the free drink so a full change to Business Select doesn't seem to make sense. You can pay cash at the gate for an upgraded boarding position (if one is available and usually they are), but you'll still be using a Wanna Get Away fare/ticket.

With Southwest there's no advantage or disadvantage to buying one way flights vs a round trip so as @franktravel said, just buy a one way and you can buy the return one way when you're ready.

Based on past experience and reading about other people's experiences, points for flower purchases usually post pretty quickly (couple of days after delivery), but they often don't post at all due to some rule technicality the seller has. People have had luck calling the seller to ensure their purchase qualified and points are actually going to post. I would not count on your points being reactivated so you need to ensure some points post before your expiration date. It wouldn't hurt to seek points from another method too, just to give yourself a backup plan. Points from the dining program tend to post quickly too and buying a drink at a fast food restaurant can be enough to save your points from expiring.

Times listed on a reservation or a ticket are always based on the time zone of the airport. So if you're departing from a pacific time zone airport, the time is pacific time. If you are arriving in eastern time zone, the arrival time listed is in eastern time.

No way to do this currently, probably because there's no pooling of points. You can buy a ticket for someone else with your points, but you can't combine multiple people's points.

Checking in online doesn't change anything at the airport, just go to the normal baggage/check-in counter when you arrive at the airport.

You should have access to the travel funds now if you want to book another trip. If you're looking for a cash refund you would need to request it either by calling or send the request in writing to: Southwest Airlines Refunds Department P.O. Box 36649 Dallas, Texas 75235-1649 A cash refund would not be automatically done without requesting it.

Additionally, based on the rough itinerary you sent me I was able find your flights. You don't have a lot of extra time in Denver but should have enough to use the restroom and get to the gate before boarding begins without running. If you're worried about time or if your flight from Atlanta is late, just ask a southwest employee to give you advice. Also forgot to mention when you land in Los Angeles you'll follow signs to baggage claim where you'll get your bags, then the pick up area is right outside baggage claim. Enjoy the LA traffic, lol.

If you did not purchase Early Bird Check-in, you should check-in for your flight 24 hours before your flight on southwest.com. Click the "check in" button and enter your information. This will provide you with a boarding position and boarding passes. No need to print them, you can get them at the airport when you check bags. It's been awhile since I've been through Atlanta, but it looks very similar to Denver so you'll have no problems. Assuming someone is dropping you off at the airport in Atlanta, you'll want to go to the North Terminal, that's where you'll see signs for Southwest. Get out there and go inside where you'll see Southwest ticket/check-in counters. You will need a photo ID and you'll be able to check up to two bags person, each weighing up to 50lbs. You'll most likely use a kiosk for this process so it's helpful to have your confirmation number available. Confirm with the staff that your bags are tagged to go to Los Angeles, get your boarding passes (two per person) and you're done. Proceed to the security screening area where you'll need your ID and boarding pass to get through. Listen to the instructions from the TSA staff, just make sure you don't have any liquids or gels in containers larger than 3.4oz. More details about security and what is allowed can be found here: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring After security get on the PlaneTrain and head to Concourse C, that's where Southwest flights are. At Concourse C find your gate and follow instructions for boarding when they begin boarding about 30 minutes before departure. When you get to the gate it's always good to confirm with a staff member that you are at the correct gate and you can ask for clarification about the boarding process. In Denver you'll get off the plane and can ask a Southwest staff member to tell you what gate your flight to Los Angeles is at. Or look for the large displays that list all the flights and find yours and its gate number. All flights are in the same concourse like Atlanta so just look for the large sign with your gate number. No need to get on a train. Again, when you get to the gate it's always good to confirm with a staff member that you are at the correct gate. You'll board just like you did in Atlanta. See, no problems! Just remember you can always ask anything Southwest employee for assistance. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. Enjoy your trip!

Yes, you can cancel his ticket and you'll get a credit for it, but it can only be used by your husband and must be used within one year of the day you booked the flight you are canceling. If you're not 100% certain about him going or not going on the trip there's no need to cancel it now, you can wait until 10 minutes before the flight, although I would suggest not waiting quite that long. Once you do know what his plans are you can cancel if necessary.

Don't worry, lots people fly for their first time every day and for the most part airports are easy to navigate and folks who work there are pretty helpful. So we can give you better information, can you please provide what city you are departing from, where you're going, and if you have any stops along the way? Also, if you provide information about how you're getting to the airport and if someone is picking you up or if you are renting a car when you arrive we might be able to give you even more information.

That is an annoying oddity you've found. Once again probably the result of some great programming on Southwest's system. Usually it's because the trip would require a layover that was too short, but in this case you could catch a morning flight from HAV to FLL then an afternoon flight FLL to MSY. I would suggest you find the best itinerary for yourself by searching for one way flights for each segment (HAV-FLL and FLL-MSY) and then call Southwest and see if they can make a valid trip out of it and give you a price. Definitely not ideal. Perhaps they could also offer a reason for you being unable to price it.

Typically points post within 24 hours of trip completion. If they don't post today you can submit a missing points request. Here's the info for that: You can request past flight points for up to 12 months after your flight. To claim points for a past flight, simply log into your account, select My Account and choose the Manage tab within My Rapid Rewards. Choose Request past points in the grey bar and enter your record locator (confirmation number) from your reservation. After verification of your flight information (approximately 3-5 days), points will be deposited into your account.
