Aloha Kelby, Would you be so kind to forward my email to a level that can use a Labor Department Manager once Southwest is in Hawaii? I am recently retired and have a background in staffing, personnel, management, program delivery, budgeting, compliance, and customer service.

Hi @nathanm04, While you are correct that you are responsible for the costs of the program as well as living expenses for the duration of the program, it is possible to get a housing loan and cost of living stipend as part of your financing. These are discussions you would need to have with CAE and Wells Fargo as you move through the process and would still be subject to approval for the loan.

Hi @Vianed, Thank you for your service! We recommend that you visit https://swa.pilotcredentials.com/ and view the 'FAQ' for more information on requirements and specifically how helicopter time can be logged. Here is an excerpt from that page: Helicopter time may be logged in your profile flight hours tab using the drop down "single piston/rotor" Or "multi piston/rotor." This time will be considered but will not replace the minimum fixed wing or Jet/Turbine PIC requirements. 2,500 hours total time or 1,500 turbine time in a fixed wing aircraft Southwest considers only Pilot time in fixed-wing aircraft. This specifically excludes simulator, WSO, RIO, FE, NAV, EWO, etc. "Other Time" will not be considered. Best of luck in your application!

Hi @Anshockley7, We're thrilled to hear that you've submitted an application for ELDP! Host locations are determined based upon operational need, so selected participants could be placed at any of our domestic stations or call centers! If you are assigned for a call center rotation, call centers are located in: Albuquerque, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Phoenix. Participants are typically required to relocate 1-2 times throughout their 18 month rotation, with the potential for an additional relocation to their Leadership position at the end of the program.

Hi @lfodom, You are correct that many pilots today do use an iPad, however we do not recommend making any purchases until you have been given a class date and had conversations with CAE on this subject. Thanks for reaching out about Destionation 225!

Unfortunately, once you accept a position with Southwest, you are taken out of eligibility for other Southwest position you may have had an application in for. The good news is that you can apply Internally for this position the next time it is available, now that you have completed one year in your current position!

Sterling talent solutions told me my background check was completed July 31st. I did my f2f interview July 17th and did my drug test the next day. I just checked my dashboard and the part time ramp position in Phoenix, AZ isn't showing anymore. I got the contingent offer of employment letter the day of my f2f interview. Is it bad if the position is no longer on my dashboard? And when should I hear back from southwest about a training date and if I passed my background. (I don't have any criminal charges just a few speeding tickets)

Hi @evanm4120, Thanks for your interest in Destination 225°! You can apply to the program with previous flight experience, but the Cadet pathway is designed for someone starting without previous flight experience. Prior flight time does not provide any advantages during the application and selection process or reduce the cost of training.

Thank you Sanguenetta. Where might I find those codes? I had looked into CPR/FIRST AID/ AED Certification in the past, so time I get that part done. I drive a lot of flight attendants from several airlines with Lyft and received a lot of encouragement. Southwest is my only choice, they do it the best and I want to go with a winner.
