@ChucklesTX wrote: I read the reply for not honoring drink coupons from 2015 and it makes sense. We have 4 that expired last year in December. It would seem to me that those should be replaced as flying during a pandemic when one is 70 did not make sense to my wife and I. Free drinks served with a round of Covid just isn't worth the risk Thanks It's my understanding that March 2020 and beyond drink coupons have been extended until the end of this year so be sure to hold on to the expired ones so you can try to use them if you feel comfortable doing so once drink service resumes.

You could do a point to point booking also called multi city reservation where you book MEM-ATL-PBI -Blake

You will need to go to the full service ticket counter. I just did this last week on a DTW MDW AUS booked as 2 one ways they were able to go in and check it all the way to final destination without me having to go out and recheck the bag (I exited the terminal anyways to say hi to a friend but glad I didn't have to recheck the bag) I have noticed not all employees know how to do this so you may need to ask for a supervisor if they say you can't. One other note this only works if the layover is under 4 hours otherwise you will need to claim and recheck the bags. -Blake

Usually if you can get a flight to Hawaii but not the return its because there isn't a connection available to get you back home. This may mean you need to overnight somewhere like Oakland so the next day you can go to your final destination or you could fly to Oahu and fly from there. -Blake

They were in Key West before they could go back. I'd like to see Daytona Beach (DAB) added.

@kobiezma wrote: This flight is not until June. If I book now while its high how do I get my points back when and if rates drop? Yes if you see the price for the flight in points go down you can change to the cheaper points ticket and the points will go back into the account the points cane from. Keep in mind if the taxes go up you would need to pay that fare difference. -Blake

For you to travel together on the same reservation you would need to complete travel by June 1st as it is the earliest expiration date of the 2 funds. If you have to cancel the new reservation it will still have the expiration date of June 1st. -Blake

A new batch of schedule changes is occuring this will cause phone call volumes to be higher the next few days I would use the in app chat feature or reach out to Southwest on Facebook or Twitter to avoid the long hold times that may occur. You can also change your flight on Southwest.con or the Southwest mobile app to avoid the hold time. -Blake

Sorry to hear others on your flight didn't wear masks as they should and that deplaning was a mess. I would share your feedback with southwest directly Contact Customer Relations this way they can pass on the feedback to the appropriate department for training purposes. With your next flight being full you can move to a less full flight for free within 3 days of your original departure just give reservations a call 800-435-9792 that way they can get you moved to a less full flight and hopefully that would ease your mind a little bit. -Blake

The last waiver I am aware of was 2-3 weeks a go when they revised March 11th- April 11th (or somewhere around that date range) back then that change the date and get your funds extended would have worked but no waivers currently.

When you go to change the flight to the date you want it will give you an error telling you that your funds would be expired. The best option is once your funds expire Contact Customer Relations and request for your funds to be extended as a LUV voucher this does come with a $100 fee per travel fund and is on a case by case basis so it's not a guarantee that they will offer this. If they do offer this exception the voucher would be good for 6 months. -Blake

If you are uncomfortable with someone encroaching on your seat space you can talk to the Flight Attendant and they can try to find you another seat where you can be more comfortable. Also currently if your on a flight where middle seats will be occupied southwest will send you an email 3 days in advance and you can move to a less full flight for free (only applies if a less full flight exists and that must be within 3 days of original departure) I'm not sure when that policy will go away. -Blake

@Mikaela1 wrote: I tried to do that, but the confirmation number I put in doesn't work. I need to order a ticket asap. The one I need may already be gone since I have been waiting on the phone all day. My need may not be an emergency, but if the tickets are all gone, then I won't be able to go. Are you using your funds for a flight that would take place before the funds expire? Remember travel funds are valid for a year from when you bought the old flight. Also with travel funds are the funds in your name and did you enter your information exactly as it was on the old reservation? Since you say the confirmation number I am guessing these are travel funds. -Blake

Sorry to hear you left your journal on your recent flight. You did the right thing by filing filing a lost and found report. The next best thing is waiting it out and letting the process happen. Here’s how things work: once an item is found it is sent to Southwest’s lost and found where all lost items go. Once it arrives it is processed and the search begins to find the owner some items are easier to return based on serial numbers other items can take longer. If you have anything on your journal that would stand out to show it is yours and not someone else’s be sure to update the report with that information here are a few examples (photos on the front/back, even one journal entry that you don’t mind someone reading just to show its truly yours, if the journal has a serial number you could put that as well) one idea for the future with journals maybe on the 1st or last page put your contact info just in case it gets lost maybe a good person will find it and reach out to you. Hopefully you will will get your journal back soon! Don’t lose hope the process does take time. -Blake
