I had excellent customer service with SWA. Reported damaged luggage after getting my bag at Tpa. They offered $150 voucher. Told them no thanks. They took my info, sent me an email. I had to send them photos. Again offered $150 voucher. Turned it down. They then had their luggage vendor contact me. I sent them my damaged luggage, they received it on a Tuesday by Friday I had my repaired bag back.

What I don’t understand is to get a handicap parking pass you need a letter from a doctor. Why can’t the same idea be applied to preboarding?

We flew from Vegas last week. There were 20 preBoards. To get a handicap parking sticker you need to prove you need it. Why can’t the same be done. What really gets me is how many go in with wheelchairs but when the get to their destination none is needed.

I agree with you. Swa will say you can just sit in that empty seat but who wants to do that and be stuck next to a angry person.

When we made our reservations a few months ago we did not add the early bird as we were not sure with Covid if we would be going or not and since the early bird is non-refundable we thought we would chance it. However, now I am thinking with the packed flights I will be better off adding it. But not sure where this will put us in the boarding process. Thoughts???

What I don't understand is why you don't have to have proof. When you get a handicap sticker for parking you have to get something from your doctor. Why can't the same be done with this. And yes I know that there are people out there with handicap stickers that shouldn't have them but it might cut down on the ones doing the fake preboards.

I don't have a problem with people preboarding for REAL medical issues and I know you can't always see the issue. However, when my mother got a handicap sticker for her car she had to have her doctor verify her medical issue. Maybe the same needs to be done for the airlines. I happen to know someone who has no REAL medical issue then he doesn't like to sit anywhere but the aisle so he tells them he has an issue with his leg. Then both he and his wife board and no one has paid for EB and really no one has a medical issue.

To get a handicap parking sticker you need proof from a doctor of a disability. I don't understand while the same requirements cant be used for the airlines.

Pay the $60. Even if you get B you should be able to get seats together. Maybe in the back of the plane but together. I buy it whenever I fly and only once have I come close to not being able to sit with my husband.
