CVG's problem is that it is a small station with nonstops to only 4 cities. $59 fares typiclly show up onnon stop flights.
If you choose to drive to CMH, you could ctch a $59 ticket to Washington Reagan.

You are asking Southwest emloyees to tell you the rules about the policy of another company: Chase.
Maybe you should be asking Chase.

BTW that statement is a lie. SW actually ranks first in the category of economy airlines -- but whatever floats your boat.
I suspect you are a bot. Let's see if you can coherently respond.

Hi guys,
So I have two queries regarding the flight that I am going to take. My flight is from Boston to San Jose on 9th August 2024. And there is a connecting flight from St. Louise given by the airlines itself.
First of all, the layover is of 1 hour between the flights and there is change of plane at St. Louise. So is the airlines going to transfer my luggage at St. Louise and I will get my luggage in San Jose or do I have to check-in again for my luggage before boarding the flight at St. Louise.
In Boston, your bag will be tagged with San Jose as the final destination. You willnot have to do anything with your bag in St. Louis
Another query is about the luggage. Will it be okay if my checked-in baggage size be of 63.5 inches (h+b+w)? I know that the baggage size restrictions are less than or equal to 62 inches but my country there are no bags of such size.
By policy, your bag is too big, but the difference is small enough that you will probbly get away wiith iit. If you run into a zealous person at the check in counter, anything is possible. My experience is that Southwest is very strict on the 50 pound weight limit, and a bit less so on bag that are just a little over the size limit.
Thank You in advance, Regards.

That's Illegal per a piece of federal legislation called the Air Carrier Access Act.
If you want the terms changed contact your congresspersons and senators and tell them you want the law changed.
:Lotsa luck with that.

The problem is that SW is short of planes and it is getting worse.
Boeing promised SW it would deliver hundreds of new planes in 2024 then a few months back it said "Ooops, wel'll send you 20 in 2024" All the while SW continues to retire 737-700s that have reached the end of their useful lives, and is returning 737-800s that are coming off lease -- because SW did not know about the Boeing problems until it after it lost the ability to renew the leases.
It is a mess, and it is not likely to improve until Boeing gets it;s act together and actually ships a significant number of new planes to SW. End of 2025 maybe, 2026 - more likely.
Safe travels to you. Feel free to come back after Boeing get's it's at together.

It seems you have to log off the Southwest Community (where you are now). and then log back in and you'll see the retiree portal info on the right side of the page.

You are most welcome, Gus.
You know there is a place for retired SW employees to log in. I don't know whether or not it provides any functionality to allow you to contact others like you. I'm ex TI, and I know the TI alumni association does sponsor get togethers. Maybe Southwest's does, too. I dunno.

The world changed. The airline industry changed, and Southwest had to change a bit.
I fly a lot - maybe 30 flights a year and I have been doing that for years. I still see a lot of the old SW today. I still see FAs and gate attendants having fun..
Take a few more flights, and maybe you'll see it too.

That was my point. What is considered a disability by law is so vast by definition Southwest can’t touch it or challenge anyone legally without potential repercussions. But when you see people who couldn’t walk while boarding a flight remove their braces or boots while walking to baggage claim, something has to give.
What would have to happen is that the federal law would have to be changed. Lottsa luck with that one.

"only sell earlybird for the A boarding position.
There is no way to do that because there is no way to know how many A-Listers will grab A spots until 36 hours before the flight. You could have A50-A60 available and then 10 A Listers buy tickets and grab them.
EBCI only guarantees 2 things:
1) you don't need to worry about checking in at t-24 hours
2) You will get a better boarding position than everyone that checks in manually.
That's it.

The Air Carrier Access Act does not allow that. The law would have to be changed.
