Currently with SWABiz they are offering 3x tier qualifying points.
Earn 3X tier qualifying points toward A-List and/or A-List Preferred when you register, book through business channels, then fly.*
my question is when I select my flight is says Earn 4260 points. Does that mean I will receive 12780 points toward A-List?
Can you trace it back to the cost of the flight? The amount shown may not include promos and likely shows the Rapid Rewards points earned, not TQP specifically.

I am not absolutely certain, but I suspect that the reservation system does not have the capability of using two companion passes on one reservation.
Each companion pass will have a separate confirmation number, so the OP and wife will be on one confirmation, and each companion will have separate confirmations.
But I do think the position assignments should flow through okay, we know it works for one companion and I'm wracking my brain if we did or didn't do this on one trip last year when my wife had a promo companion pass too.

Just wanna add that in situations like these, it's best to reach out directly to the airline or travel company you booked with. They typically have policies in place for such circumstances.

I never call, I contact Southwest on social media (Twitter Direct Messages for me) whenever I have a booking problem or question about my flights. They normally get back to me within minutes but when I contacted them a few days ago it was closer to 45 minutes. Still, it was great service considering how slammed I am sure they are. --Jessica

To be clear: In order to apply for a Chase Business Credit Card (including the Southwest Rapid Rewards card) you need to have an existing relationship with Chase. To apply, follow the link above, which will require you to log into your Chase account(s) before presenting an application link. Be aware that approvals for business cards have been significantly restricted by Chase since April.

I suspect access to the larger "hubs" is less disrupted.

I am amazed that you already earned a 2021 CP pass in 2 months in 2020?! Did you use your southwest card to buy a house? I do agree with your point though, you are 100% right.

When I got my SW card, which offers 60,000 miles after I spend $3000, I was able to get my points on the day the first statement posted. Had I waited until after the closing date and statement date, then I would have had to await another month to get the miles. Currently we are not flying, so I am using my new batch of miles to buy $600.00 worth of on-sale movies and DVDs . . . which is great.

That's wonderful to hear, @rpoplin. As long as the bins meet our normal size and weight criteria, they're totally fine. We look forward to welcoming you onboard next month!

Regarding the credit, yes, you should be able to cancel the original reservation which will result in a refund of the points and taxes, then rebook the flight at the lower price. My experience with cancelling points reservations is the taxes are refunded back to the method of payment. The points will refund immediately so you can rebook immediately. The refund of the taxes may take a day or two to post so as long as you don't mind that you should be good to go. Keep in mind, if you purchased EarlyBird Check-In and cancel you will forfeit that purchase. You may have the same luck getting a refund of the difference in taxes if you do a change flight and rebook the same flight, but I don't have personal experience with that option. Doing a change flight process would keep EarlyBird on the reservation. --TheMiddleSeat

@rpoplin wrote: Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I need to look at best option for future travel. Lucky that only one flight was book via payment, the others have been points so I assume if I paid using my points they would be credited back to my account. Correct, if you cancel a points booking the points will be returned to your account. This is a great way to "hold a spot" for a future companion. You'll have to call to make a direct swap if the flight is sold out. Otherwise if there are tickets for sale, you can cancel and then add companion. Note: you can't hold both for any significant duration of time, so don't add companion and then cancel the points booking some days later as the software may flag you for double-booking the same passenger and cancel one or both.
