But to answer your question, a mask doesn't necessarily do enough when one has a severe peanut allergy. Peanut allergens (peanut dust), floating in the air, can settle on clothes, hands, eyes, etc. One swipe of the affected clothing or hands to the nose or mouth can "inoculate" the allergic passenger, even hours later, and set off an anaphylactic response.
IMHO, somebody who has a life-threatening allergy should always be prepared with an EpiPen and the onus should always be on them...not the general public.

@parpitt1 is correct. This power bank cannot be checked and can only travel in your carry-on bag.
That being said, I suspect that it may be too large. I recall that these types of power banks are limited to 100 watt hours. Yours is 192 watt hours. Plus, I think its size alone will bring it under scrutiny. I wouldn't risk it.
I checked SWA Help Center and didn't find your particular question addressed...and I think it's an important question. I would send a DM via X [Twitter] to SWA. Specifically, let them know its dimensions and watt hours. Save their response if it's a go...just in case you get pushback from TSA. And it would be really helpful to let others in the community know the answer and/or your experience if you decide to travel with it.

This happens more times than you think...and it usually works out fine. I'm willing to bet that you will make your connection flight out of Chicago!!
SWA typically begins their boarding process 30 minutes prior to the departure time. And remember, pre-boarders take up the first few minutes. Priority boarding will continue with Business Select, A-List Preferred, A-List, Anytime fare...and then EarlyBird. My point being, a few more minutes are used before the EarlyBird boarding numbers begin.
If your gate is within 10 gates on the concourse and your plane lands on time, you will still be able to use your assigned EarlyBird position. If you arrive at your new gate and boarding has already passed your position number, simply (and politely) go to the front of the boarding line, briefly explain, and you will be processed next.
Also, when I have a short connection, I take the first available seat toward the front of the plane...even if it's a middle seat. Sometimes those minutes truly do matter when getting off the plane.

During the pandemic, I continued to fly my normal Portland, OR to San Diego run. At the gate, a woman was seated with 8 rolls of toilet paper in her lap. Not wrapped. Not in a package. Not in a bag. Just 8 rolls held together by a cord running through the cardboard core of each roll. Picture a giant circle of toilet paper. She also had a purse and a wheeled carry-on. This was going to be either very funny or could turn...interesting. Since the flight was practically empty, I stayed in my seat near the gate and just watched.
She queued up to board. Naturally, they reminded her that she was only allowed 1 personal item and 1 carry-on item. They told her that she needed to gate check either her toilet paper collection or her wheeled carry-on. She argued, indicating that there was plenty of overhead space for both. The gate agent held his ground. All eyes were on her as she slipped the circular chain of toilet paper over her head and declared it a "covid necklace"...that was part of her outfit. She looked ridiculous, her face dwarfed by toilet paper rolls. Laughter erupted, all was good, and she was allowed to board. She proudly wore her accessory onto the plane (I followed her while biting my tongue), where, once again, the FAs burst into laughter as she made her way down the aisle.
Yes, fond and interesting memories of flying during covid.

You're doing everything correctly!
As long as your two cats are vaccinated (bring your records), they may both fly in the same carrier. Good for you for insuring that it meets the acceptable carrier size limits. If the cats can move around enough to change position, you will be fine.
Remember to keep the carrier closed at all times...especially while you're at the gate or on the plane. No sneaky unzipping for a quick pet, as this may cause you to be denied transportation.
And be sure that you have made a reservation for your cats. You should only need to pay $125 for both, as the pet fare is per carrier and not per pet.
To avoid last-minute re-organizing at the gate, you may only have one other item with you when boarding because the pet carrier will count as one of your personal items or carry-on items.
Have a safe trip to Los Angeles!

Lucky you...seeing the Indy 500 in person. I'm a race fan and that race is on my bucket list.
But to address your complaint:
You weren't charged a change fee. And, as your napkin indicated, SWA does not charge change fees.
However, you were charged for the difference in the cost of the new flight. For example, if your original Sunday flight was $200 and the new Monday flight was $488, you were charged the difference in flight cost...or $288. Because it was a last-minute "purchase" or change, the flight was more expensive.
All airlines will charge the difference in flight costs if you make a change. All of them. I'm sorry you misunderstood the benefit in its entirety.

Hello!
Be sure that the actual harness you purchase and the actual harness you receive is a CARES CRS with the appropriate labeling sewn on the harness. Many of these that are sold on Amazon are "fakes," are not safe, and will not be allowed. Pay attention to the 1-star reviews on the particular one you are considering...
Also be aware that this harness prevents the passenger behind you from using his tray table. I would head toward the last row so there isn't a potential conflict.
What car seats/child restraint systems (CRSs) are accepted onboard?
If you're traveling with an infant or toddler, you should know that proper use of a child restraint system (CRS) enhances child safety on aircraft. For this reason, we and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) strongly recommend that infants and children who weigh 40 pounds or less be secured in an appropriate CRS when traveling by air.
If the CRS was manufactured before February 25, 1985, it must have one of the following labels. A CRS manufactured on or after February 26, 1985, must bear both labels in A and B:
This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft.
This child restraint device conforms to all applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards.
FAA APPROVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH 14 CFR PART 21.305 (D) APPROVED FOR AIRCRAFT USE ONLY.
We also accept seats approved by the United Nations or foreign governments. The CRS must have a stamp or decal or some other mark that indicates foreign government approval. Seats manufactured under the standards of the UN must have a label with a circle surrounding the letter E, followed by a number assigned to the country that has granted approval.
It is important to note that the CARES CRS is the only harness-type device approved for use onboard. The device is designed for Customers weighing between 22 and 44 pounds and must have a label that indicates, FAA Approved in Accordance with 14 CFR 21.305(d), Approved for Aircraft Use Only.
Additionally, please know the FAA has banned certain types of child restraints that may be harmful to a child in the event of an aviation emergency. These include backless booster seats and any device that ties the child to another person.
CRSs ALLOWED IN MIDDLE AND WINDOW SEATS ONLY. If the CRS is placed in the middle seat, it must not prevent the Passenger in the window seat from exiting the aircraft. If two children are traveling, CRSs must ONLY occupy the middle and window seats. Never aisle seats.
CRSs ARE NEVER ALLOWED ON EXIT SEATS. This also means an aisle seat OR the row in front of or behind an emergency exit row.
WEIGHT LIMITS. Though you’re allowed to place the CRS any way you prefer, here’s what we recommend:
Children under 20 pounds: CRS faces the back of the plane.
Children between 20-40 pounds: CRS faces the front of the plane.
SEATBELTS ARE AVAILABLE. If you feel you need extra help securing a child, just ask the nearest Flight Attendant.
To make sure your CRS will fit properly when you’re onboard, check the widths of the narrowest and widest passenger seats. When booking travel, click on the hyperlinked flight number to find the aircraft series size for a specific flight. While we try our best to utilize the originally scheduled aircraft type for your journey, operational circumstances may result in a swap to an aircraft with different seat dimensions.

I'm sorry that you had a significant delay. We all have had that happen to us at one time or another. But by making such a blanket statement by calling SWA "the worst airline ever," your credibility and your understanding of the situation is called into question.
If you are truly a professional dancer, then surely you would know that you would never fly to your performance venue the day of a performance. Flight delays happen all the time...on all airlines. Professional dancers know this and plan accordingly.
My daughter is a dancer out of NYC and has traveled both domestically and internationally for over a decade. She always arrives at the venue at least two to three days beforehand for tech and dress rehearsals...and so she can be rested for the performances. Were you performing tonight without a warm-up class and on a stage that you hadn't yet blocked?
Whenever my flight on SWA has had a controllable delay over 3 hours (not delayed for weather-related or non-controllable reasons), I have always been proactively offered a meal voucher and a travel voucher (not cash compensation) for the inconvenience. You need to know your rights as a consumer and approach the situation calmly. Based on your rant, I'm guessing that you didn't receive vouchers because the delay was not within SWA's control...so no compensation. This is pretty common among all the airlines.
You can learn about your rights on the U.S. Department of Transportation's website:
https://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/airline-cancellation-delay-dashboard
It looks like you're departing in 10 minutes. Have a safe flight.

These are the current guidelines:
SWA's website indicates:
Any of the items listed below* may be checked in substitution of one piece of the free checked baggage allowance for you at no charge on a one-item-for-one-bag basis. If the item of sporting equipment exceeds 50 pounds in weight, excess weight charges will apply. If the item of sporting equipment exceeds 62 inches in size (outside length plus height plus width), excess size charges will not apply.
*Snow ski equipment.
Snow ski equipment, including skis or snowboards, ski boots, and ski poles are allowed, including one pair of skis or one snowboard, one set of poles, and one pair of ski/snowboard boots packed in a container(s) acceptable to Carrier. When substituting ski equipment for a free bag, we allow up to two bags (containing one set of snow skis, ski poles, and ski boots) to count as one item, even if they are packed and tagged separately. Snow ski equipment packed in a plastic bag will be transported only with a limited release of liability.

If your chosen flight says "1 stop" in the little gray box and has nothing written below it, then that flight only stops to let passengers on and off...and will continue on to its destination. Normally, you would stay seated...although on longer layovers you are sometimes allowed to get off. Once everyone is off and the plane is readied for the next flight, you are often given permission to change your seat to a better one.
Otherwise, under "1 stop" in the the gray box, it will say "Change planes XXX", which indicates you will get off at XXX and continue to your destination on another flight.

I always pack one of those very small, foldable, nylon grocery-type bags in my carry-on. If the need arises that my carry-on needs to be gated checked, I can easily move valuables (electronics, medication, sunglasses, jewelry, etc.) into the nylon bag for under seat storage.

Kudos to you for keeping your child safe!
First...check the back (upper left) of the car seat to be sure there is a FAA sticker on it. I'm sure there is, but just double-check.
From SWA site:

This car seat is wider than most...at 20 inches. It should fit if you put the armrest up between you and the car seat. Be sure to install it only in the window or middle seat. It cannot be placed in the aisle seat. If you choose to install it in the middle seat, you cannot raise the armrest between the middle and other unoccupied seat, infringing on that passenger's space. In my opinion, you will have a better fit placing the car seat in the middle and raising the armrest only between the two of you.

Both your empty water bottle and supplement powders can be packed in your carry-on luggage. In fact, you can pack your supplements (or anything else that's compliant, for that matter) inside your water bottle to save space in your luggage. Sometimes unusual-looking items may need to be visually inspected and swabbed...but shouldn't have an issue passing inspection.

What you learned in training is correct...service dogs should not be crated while working. They are usually only crated at home during rest or to de-stress.
Would your service dog be able to work and alert if he was in a crate under the seat in front of you?? If the answer is yes, then he can be crated during the flight. If the answer is no, a legitimate service dog should not be crated, as it defeats the whole purpose of allowing him to do his job.

The pet policy on Southwest Airlines is very clear...cats and dogs only. If you had followed the pet policy directions, you would have had to call to make your pet's reservation...and then would have found out that your chinchilla would not have been allowed to fly. I'm sorry you found out the hard way.
Specific to your case:
We welcome small, vaccinated domestic cats and dogs in an appropriate pet carrier in the cabin on domestic flights.
Space is limited, so we ask that you make a reservation in advance by calling us.

You are starting your trip on the right foot by choosing Southwest Airlines 😀!
You are correct. You may each take one carry-on bag that fits in the overhead storage. In addition, you are each allowed one personal item that will completely fit under the seat in front of you. That personal item can be a purse, a small tote or backpack, or your daughter's stuffed animal. I usually bring a tote and place my small purse and other small items (snacks, electronics, etc.) in that.
For your liquids/aerosols/gels/creams/pastes, you can stuff as many as you can in a quart-sized zipper-type plastic bag. I would be impressed if you could fit nine!! The "liquids" are limited to 3.4 ounces or less. You may each have one quart bag...so it may be a good idea to have your daughter place her stuffed lovey in her own backpack (with its head sticking out...adorable) and also carry the second quart bag.
Remember, both quart bags will need to come out when you go through TSA security, so have them on top/readily accessible.
Let the flight attendant know it's your daughter's first flight. The flight crew **might** invite her up to look through the door at the flight deck. I saw them take a little boy up to see it last week. He was so excited.
Have a safe and fun trip!

This is SWA baggage Policy:
Each Customer is allowed two free checked bags.
Sizing for your checked bags:
Up to 50 pounds each
62 inches in size (length + width + height)
Three+ Bags: $125 per bag (within weight and size limits)
Oversize Bag: $125 per bag (62 inches to 80 inches max)
Overweight Bag:
$100 per bag (51 - 70 lbs.)
OR
$125 per bag (71 - 100 lbs.)
Only one $125 charge applies if the piece is both oversized and overweight, regardless of the weight as long as it does not exceed 100 lbs.
Also note that excess baggage which is also overweight or oversized will be charged excess baggage plus the applicable oversize or overweight charge. This is where it gets expensive.
In total, a Customer is limited to check 20 pieces of checked baggage per flight. This limitation includes Carrier’s Free Checked Baggage Allowance and excess baggage would be subject to applicable excess baggage charges.
Have you considered ground freight? It may be less expensive...

For clear transparency, I don't know SWA's policy on putting two such items in one bag.
However, I definitely wouldn't do it. There is more of a chance of either or both items being damaged moving through the baggage system, as they can "clank" together or cause the bag to become unwieldy during handling.
If you don't want to purchase a separate bag for the car seat, you can place it in a large, heavy-duty, clear plastic bag and secure it shut. You may want to bring a spare bag for your return trip.
