Afternoon. Found this thread when researching which airlines will protect my health by following the basic science of viral transmission that we've had locked down for something near a hundred years now. I was getting a kick from the plandemic people in the thread with their hilarious accusations that masks don't work or that the virus isn't real. Let me guess folks, the earth is flat and the moon landing was faked? 😂 They're spying on us with the five gee?? 🤣 Never fails to make me laugh when people are *proud* of their ignorance. Anyway, masks do work: https://www.nature.com/articles https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-mask/art-20485449/d41586-020-02801-8 If you simply *must* continue to be ignorant on purpose about it, well shoot you know you're right, right? So you should have no problem saying so with your full name and face attached, right? Come on, I bet your employer would love to hear how much smarter you are than every virologist in the world 🙂 what are you, chicken? 🐔🐔

As posted on another thread: Wearing an N95 mask with a valve doesn't do much to protect those around you, as it permits droplet release, negating the whole point of wearing a mask. I was wondering why it took so long to ban them... I have to wear N95 masks (I'm immunocompromised). I simply wear a disposable surgical or cloth mask over it. Double-masked! I'm protected and I'm protecting those around me. No one knows I have the N95 on...they just think I'm overly concerned about contracting COVID.

But it also shows that as a 30-year old I can be asystematic or full-blown sick and have no issues at all or recover nicely, yet I've been the six degrees of infection that eventually kills 10 people over 70. So why not consider that.

We truly regret if you were left feeling unsettled after traveling with us, @lr101010. All Customers are required to wear a face covering but there are some exemptions to this policy. Additionally, all Employees should be wearing masks properly.
As a peer-to-peer support forum, we are not equipped to assist you here, but we encourage you to Contact Customer Relations so we can follow-up with the Crew internally.
Thank you,

@GrumpyOldMan wrote: The only reason to require 7.0 is that the app coders are un-skilled. You-all could be doing better. I don't know fo sure why this happens, but my guess is 1) Making the app viable across a bunch of versions significantly increases the complexities of the app - potentially decreasing the stability of it 2) Doing so increase the cost of doing so. The airline wouldn't do this if there were lots of users of the older OS versions. I would imagine that the airline has made a decision to not spend a lot of money for a few users. As I said upthread, if you don't like the situation, contact the airline directly via one of the methods listed under "contact us" below. I use android 7.0.i so I'll be obsoleted about this time next year. My then 5 year old phone will have served me well. Then I'll buy a new one - assuming my old one doesn't die of old age first. edit add: it appears that as of May, the percentage of active android phones in the US that are using android 7 or better is somewhere around 90%. Android 6 (about 5%) makes up half of the remaining 10% https://gs.statcounter.com/android-version-market-share/mobile-tablet/united-states-of-america

Things Change. New knowledge should be used, not ignored. Expecting everything to remain unchanged from ticketing to traveling is unreasonable.

Enforcing the mask policy does create an additional burden on the flight attendants. The flight crew is there for our safety, aren't they? Being safe does take extra effort during these times. My gripe is that they (SW employees) should lead by example. Moving your mask to cover your nose only when close to another is helping spread the disease, not prevent the spread of it. Even worse is to wear it with your nose exposed. I'm seeing about 1/2 of the ground crew and 1/3 of the flight crew do exactly that. Not good. Bad.
