I recently flew from PHX to BWI. There were a large number of wheel chairs and pre-boarders. There was a group of four 20 something people sitting on the floor beside me. About 10 minutes before the flight was supposed to board, the 2 females started doing yoga and stretching. As soon as they called for pre-boarders they all popped up and walked to the gate. I know not all disabilities are visible but these four people had no trouble doing yoga or walking to the gate. My wife and I were A-12 and A-13 and had to sit behind the wing due to the combination of the number of pre-boarders and the number of seats they were saving for the rest of their group. The system is broken due to the number of people that are gaming the system.

So, I got the email from SWA this morning about $53 flights for their 53rd birthday. I get these promotions all the time but for the life of me, I can ever find an actual promotional flight. Do they only exist for flights from Poughkeepsie to Podunk? My home airport is BWI but I usually look at Philly, Myrtle Beach and Phoenix. Is there anywhere that lists routes that actually qualify for these really low fares?

I'm an A-list member but rarely travel alone so I haven't taken advantage of the A-list Priority and Express Lane benefits. I have a three flight trip next week where I will be traveling alone, so I have a question about the Priority Lane at the airport. I usually try to pack everything in my carryon but this is a longer trip and I may be forced to check a bag.
My departure flight is mid-morning. On the off chance that the airport is crowded and the kiosks are backed up, can I skip the kiosk, use the Priority Lane and have my bag checked by the SW person? I don't have an issue with the kiosk and use them all the time when traveling with my wife or family. No big deal if that's not one of the benefits of the Priority Lane.
Thanks.

I have an upcoming flight to SLC. I'm booked on a business select ticket. I just added my son as my companion. If I understand correctly, he will not get an A1-15 boarding group as a companion. My SW card gives me 4 boarding upgrades per year. The flight to SLC has a stop with a plane change. If I choose to upgrade his boarding (assuming its available) will I have to pay for the upgrade for each leg of the trip? I'm A-list if that matters at all. Thanks.

I was reviewing my Rapid Rewards account and see that I have 1,500 or 3,000 Tier points credits just about every month this year and last year. On the report they're all listed as credit card. The points for flying are clearly identified. I run all my bills and expenses through the SW card to maximize my point. There are three months this year where I wasn't credited any Tier points. My monthly expenditures on the card during these 3 months are on par with the other months. Are these some sort of bonus? How are they earned and how do I determine if I should have received them in those 3 months? I doubt the SW computers made a mistake but I'd like to verify since the end of the year is drawing near. Thanks.

I received the same email. At the end of the email it says they checked and I’ve already qualified. However; I don’t have the 4 flights that are required. I have an upcoming trip BWI>DEN, DEN>PHX, PHX>BWI. That’s only 3 flights. My wife is traveling with me on my companion pass. Are they somehow counting that or is the note in the email wrong? I’m close to qualifying anyway but earning A list now would be nice. Thanks.

I have never been in boarding group C. I'm sure it can be less than ideal. Prior to the increase I bought early bird for almost every flight. Now that the cost has gone up I don't buy it as often. I just set a reminder and make sure I check in 24 hours in advance. I carry the SW Priority card which gives me 4 seat upgrades a year. When I've had high B numbers I've used those seat upgrades. You have options to stay out of C boarding. Spend some money, upgrade your CC or be ready to checkin 24 hours before the flight.

I've had quite a few flights canceled and rebooked by SW. I rarely like the alternate flight they give me but I've never had an issue with their customer service getting me on something that works better for me. I'm flying BWI to PHX in September. I had a direct flight that was cancelled. The alternate flight plan had two stops and added 5 hours. I have a dinner meeting on my arrival date so that wasn't going to work. Called SW and rescheduled. Not exactly what I wanted but I'm still getting there in time for my meeting. Cancelations aren't limited to SW. Air France canceled a flight to Turin Italy and rescheduled me for the following day. Didn't want to give up a night in Italy so we booked a day earlier and spent a great night in a B&B at a vineyard. It cost me some money for the B&B but we made Lemonade from Lemons.

Looking at booking a fight during the current fare sale from BWI-PHX. I'm A-List and my wife is my companion, so no issues there. My son will be traveling with us. He has travel funds but they're tied to his Rapid Rewards account from a cancelled flight due to covid. Is there any way to book him on my reservation (so he gets my A-list benefits) and still use his travel funds? Would booking on the phone vs on line be the answer? Its not the end of the world if I can't. Hope to be flying regularly in 2021 when we finally kick covid's ass so I'm sure we'll have future opportunities to use his funds. Thanks.

My youngest son had some travel funds that fell outside the extension period (Mid October). I booked a flight for him last night but due to depressed pricing, there is still $60 of available travel funds. Unlikely, he'll fly again before they expire (September trip we planned was canceled) so is there anything else I can use the funds for before they expire? If I can't use the funds can they be donated?
