I flew Southwest SJC to LIH in June. At the time, there were 2 people with ipads that showed up about an hour and a half before the flight in the walkway. A line began forming even before they showed up. Quick process. Don't delay getting in the line. A person near us on the plane just missed getting their wristband when the line cut off.

In June we had big travel issues. They sent me a.single voucher at first. I resubmitted the complaint under each member of the party's name. Received a voucher for each of us, including the two companion pass kids. Worth a try.

We got caught travelling June 14th and 15th when Southwest grounded planes systemwide. Miserable experience. I am in favor of Southwest not requiring vaccinated employees. Maybe some of the rejected United employees can come work for Southwest and I'll have better odds of my next flight not having delays due to staffing.

Buy a new laptop. Buy a new suitcase. Never ever put the laptop in the suitcase. Write to southwest customer relations with the receipts. Expect a possible luv voucher for future travel, if that.

You need to preboard with medical boarding. Often those first seats are given to wheelchair passengers and if not, the first person on the plane (or continuing passengers already on the plane) will take them.

The way to do this from the time of booking would be to book a multi city reservation using the advanced link. Book from home city to Nashville and Nashville to destination city.

We switched from Delta to Southwest years ago when we needed flexible cancellation policies and I accumulated Southwest points. Points are fully refundable when plans change. In 2019 my husband and I both earned companion passes that have been good for all of 2019, 2020, and 2021. When things went extra wrong with our flights in June, Southwest gave LUV vouchers even to the two members of our party traveling on companion passes. Pretty good airlines if you ask me.
