It's a pdf link at the bottom of one of the onboarding emails. Actually, there are 2, and they are super small. It doesnt show up as an attachment, weirdly. Like I said, it doesn't give much detail in what happens on any given day. From what I've read, we will do classroom training, then we will rotate through the different positions that are gate side (ticket counter, bag tag, etc), then we move air side for the remainder of the time where we are paired with our mentor and shadow and train with them at the various positions. After 2-3 weeks, we go to TOPS. 😀 I assume it's 2-3 weeks because they probably only send people twice a month.

Can I be nosey? Lol. When was your start date? How was the first week of training? I am looking for some insight into what the time before Dallas is like. We are all excited to know. 😀

I think it depends on your job. From what I've read in past posts, the first few days we will be in a classroom learning SW/FAA rules and regulations. In the onboarding emails, there is a pdf with our training schedule, which doesn't give any specific information about what we are doing on any given day. Lol. Dallas is 2-3 weeks after we start at the airport. Also, it depends on what your position is, how long you're in Dallas. CSA=11 nights. Ramp=4 nights. The Dallas travel info will be given to you by your local SW employee travel person after your start date... I hope we are all in Dallas at the same time. ☺️☺️

Unfortunately, there is no set schedule. Check out some of the other CSA Hiring Timeline posts. I was contacted about an interview the same day I applied... others waited for months.

This one is held every Tuesday. You'll have to register via the link. It goes over interview stuff and they answer questions after.
Before my interview, I clicked around the Careers page. I explored what was offered. I read the testimonials. They will ask you what you know about Southwest and why you want to work there. There is a lot of info on those pages to use for those questions. Southwest wants to hire people who are passionate and motivated. 🙂 Good luck. Hopefully this helps!

You're welcome! I start 4/4 at TPA and hopefully we will be able to hit TOPS at the same time! Yay! Congrats 😊

Any updates?
I once had to deal with AA for a screw-up and it took about 4+ months before I saw any resolution (AA vouchers and a nice check). I did it all via their website and email. It is frustrating but this stuff does happen often. It's even more annoying when it happens to ourselves. Good luck with the bag and hopefully they can get it to you soon with an adequate resolution.

Check your dashboard to see if your submission is still there. They may have removed the listing from the website all together. I do suggest trying to get in contact with your recruiter, if you have one. Maybe you accidentally missed the first email, which is time-sensitive? Or, it could be sitting in your spam folder. Unfortunately, there are so many things that could have happened. Keep trying to contact someone. Good luck.

They told me 3-5 days but it ended up being almost 3 weeks. Heh heh. 🥴🥴🥴 It also said, at the latest, you'll get all the info the Thursday before your start date. 😬

No prob. Keep an eye out for those onboarding emails. One of them has the basic training schedule and info for TOPS at the very bottom. It'll be 2 small links to pdfs. With Gmail, they didnt show up as attachments and weren't in the main body of the email. I almost missed it. 😬

My experience has been 5 days for a confirmed start date. However, I've noticed for some it takes a few weeks. Hang in there, the emails will come. You can always send an email to your recruiter just to make sure you didn't miss anything. 😉

I'll be in Tampa too. 😀 I assume it's moving a bit quicker because it's a bigger airport...? At this point, who knows! Lol.

@msaprilnicole 4/4! I still have some time but I know that stuff needs to be done before my first day. I don't want to make my benefits elections on the fly. Send an email to your most recent POC. I think it's the WNCO email for new hire stuff. They'll reach out to your station for you. I'm about to send the same email soon. 🥴

It's the dashboard that shows you the jobs you've applied for.
My own dashboard for you to see my app/info, and notice the link. You are right, you cannot view jobs on this site. It is only for applying and the interview process. I can't explain anymore that you do have the right info for the dashboard. @AndrewArledge

@dfwskier @AndrewArledge Incorrect. After applying, you get a link to your 'dashboard' via Corporate Careers. It's the website SW uses to collect signatures and such. The exact link will be in your email from when you first applied. That dashboard link you have is the same as mine. If you are having issues, email your recruiter so you have the link from a verified source.

You signed all those forms, right? I.e., employee guidelines, harassment, afffirmative action... and at the end it has that big boarding pass?
Did you fill out anything else? Like a new hire packet with benefits information? I haven't done anything with that and the station hasn't been in contact with me yet.

Any other Rampies out there get an actual USPS email separate from the Sterling check? I got my 'all clear' email, but never saw anything come through specifically from USPS. Anyone else have a similar experience? @Av8orCree @Alex1231

Send an email out to your recruiter. That seems a bit long... however, a few people have just barely started getting their start date emails. They seem to do things in batches. I'm still waiting on my new hire paperwork that was supposed to arrive 3 weeks ago. I should send follow my own advice and send an email out too, I guess. 😅🤦🏽♀️

Sign up for alerts via the Talent Community on the Careers page. They just opened and closed a FA posting not too long ago. It seems like it only gets posted once a year. They also make a post on the main part of this forum when it opens up. Just keep checking! It'll pop up eventually.
