@ATLbasedpass I'm glad to hear you received something, that's a good start.  You did not specify how much the meals and taxi were so it's not possible to determine what valuation you were given for the points.  More info is needed to be able to give a informed opinion.  Also, as I said before various sites online seem to value Delta points at 1.1 to 1.5 cents per point so there is definitely discretion there as to what you will get and since (if I recall correctly) you did not provide a suggested valuation it's might be hard to go back now and argue.  You can certainly send back a request for more, but you will need to determine what valuation you received and send back a reasonable counter offer.   Edit: I'm also quite surprised you were given cash for the points.  You may have better luck negotiating any future reimbursement as vouchers or RR points.   --TheMiddleSeat ... Just to update in case it helps someone.   I called the 855-234-5234 number tonight instead of the 800 number and my wait time was only 44 minutes!! I was able to confirm that I would get a refund for the outgoing portion of our flight and keep the return flight.  (Website was showing all day that the outgoing flight was still happening even though the flight was indeed cancelled) The new itinerary was sent to me and I was told that the refund would be processed within 5-7 business days.   The other good thing is that it turned out that the outgoing flights were the pricier of the flights and so, after the refund, the additional cost for our 3 nonstop flights out of DFW on American is only about $400 total which isn't too bad. And I do plan on submitting a request for reimbursement though from Southwest because that is a lot of money for us and not having the extra money is why we haven't had a family vacation in close to 10 years when my son was just a wee baby. That link seems to only let you search flights leaving today. I too received a text saying that my flight was cancelled but the website still shows it as leaving tomorrow. Interestingly, when I search it on the app, it says no such flight exists and this exact same flight number was cancelled today and also yesterday. ... View more
