I don't really understand why I'm explaining anything to anyone that's dense, but since you had enough time to sit and bold something I typed out and this is a discussion forum. I will take a minute to explain not tolerating this type of behavior from a perfessional telling me she doesn't have time to for me, I didn't asked for time I was asking for the policy. I was also explaining to her that per regulations, guidance and security reasons some branches of the military are prohibited to fly in uniform so their policy defeats the purpose. I've been flying official and have flown on many airlines, no one has treated me as this airline did on this past week. I basically can care less what their policy is what I was explaining to the customer service supervisor is because someone has a uniform on doesn't mean that they are actually connected to the military service as you see every day. Everywhere else in the world you go military ID should suffice. The way I was treated wasn't the way a professional cooperation handles business. I asked a question and was told their was no time to explain anything to me and the gate agent actually explained to another person that's it's at her descretion, so what's the policy? Is it the gate agents descretion or the airline policy that were following? Also, I've contacted the airline directly and it's being looked into. Thanks for your response.

@dfwskier wrote: @Nitro wrote: SWA really needs an A-list lounge. Many of their terminals are turning into overcrowded choas. Las Vegas and Denver are great examples. This is what they need to add to the perks packaged. With the Companion Pass getting further and further away...airlines with lounge offerings are beginning to look more attractive. Are the other airlnes' lounges more important than no fees to change or cancel a flight, or bags fly free>? As a low cost airline, SW tries to keep costs low. Lounges cost money. Would you trade higher ticket prices for lounges? For me, and maybe for many, the only significant benefit of those you list is no change fees. Bags fly free on any carrier if you get their credit card, and many business travelers utilize only carry-ons anyway. And sadly Southwest fares are no longer automatically lower than other carriers. Often they're only competitive, and in some cases it's possible to fly business class (with all the associated perks) on another carrier for less than a BS fare on Southwest. In general, AT and BS fares are much higher than refundable fares on other carriers. WGA may be cheaper, but many businesses require their employees to purchase fully refundable fares. For me, no change fees is the most significant advantage Southwest has over other carriers, and it's what keeps me choosing them whenever possible. The benefits of the Rapid Rewards program are close second. All that said, it is very unlikely Southwest will ever have their own airport lounges. It's possible they could partner with lounge providers, but even that I very much doubt will ever happen.

@Justinrhibbard wrote: By not allowing families 13 and under to board together, Southwest is blatantly and knowingly violating the law. WRONG. Southwest allows families to board together, they just have to board in the same group as the last person in the group. Thus, family members in the high B and C groups cannot jump the line just because one person in the family has A-boarding.

In other words, does each leg of a trip count as a flight for A-List? No, connecting flights all count as one trip. In order to count them as two (or more), you'd have to book separate tickets to each city. You can do this online for adding one extra destination as "multi-city" booking. Are you sure? My understanding is that using advanced search > multi-city will do the opposite of what is desired. For a segment to be tier-qualifying it needs an individual confirmation number, and using multi-city combines separate flights into one confirmation (like a regular connection, but unlike just booking those flights individually). I have booked multi-city (point to point is what i have heard it called) several times and I get 2 flights towards A List it's like 2 one ways on the same confirmation number. Ok, good to know -- thanks for the info! Looks like this might have changed with the update to the "next generation" reservation system in 2017 (I've read multiple reports of it not working this way, but they're all older). I'm wondering how the system distinguishes a custom-built connection from a "regular" one?

Hello, so I did receive a email on last Friday that they found my phone. I had to pay a 42.00 shipping fee for them to ship it 2day (it said receive Tues) thru FedEx (yikes). Still cheaper than paying for a new phone. Since I did it after 6pm on Fri it ended up being 3day instead because I got it on yesterday, Wed. While waiting for my phone over last weekend I saw I got a separate email saying they are still looking for my item and haven't been able to locate yet. I thought that was weird because I just paid to have my phone shipped. Come to find out they gave me 2 separate claim numbers. One for my phone and 1 another for my charger. Luckly the phone is what made its way back to me. I am going to cancel the other for my charger because I am not going to pay another high cost shipping fee for a charger. I have a few already at home. Everything is fine with the phone so I'm happy now. Thanks for you all help and concerns.

I hope this helps. This is absurd, and, of course, completely untrue. The ale offered now is Lagunitas 12th of Never, which is a bit too hoppy for me but isn't awful. The lager is Dos Equis Special which is also good but not great. I too would prefer some regional craft beer selections. (But realize that, due to the nature of how Southwest planes hop about the country while being provisioned in each location, this is unlikely to happen.)

It might have to do with the amount they had per drink or just who is pouring. I have also heard from flight attendants that if someone has had many drinks and asks for another one it will be watered down! They might consider this if a passenger was noticeably intoxicated already. Otherwise the drinks all come in single serving containers so there wouldn't be much jurisdiction for the strength of the pour. They shouldn't be doing this if they take payment for the beverage though, the better option would be not to serve it rather than only pour a portion of the drink. Perhaps better to water drown a drink for someone who may be drunk than potentially get into an altercation with an angry drunk If there was an unpublished policy to do this, and then "forget" to take their drink coupon I'd be behind it. Actually the drink coupons could come with fine print that Southwest is allowed to provide any mixed drink in a manner necessary for the conditions...but don't take someone's credit card if you weren't going to deliver the goods. Or make up an excuse of "sorry we had turbulence" or "we ran out of that" and then forgot to come back. But I don't expect that the FA do this either - my guess is that people have an issue of perception of the strength, but the actual strength is standard. David, I didn't mean to imply this is happening. I don't. The liquor comes in those one serving mini bottles. One per drink. I'm sure you've heard stories about pax being denied another drink, and then becoming belligerent when denied.

Do you mean the transbay tube retrofit? To my knowledge this will only affect people going from east bay to sf at 4am, and BART will resume service at 5am. During that early morning time frame there will be express buses that are scheduled at the same time that bart does https://www.bart.gov/about/projects/eqs/retrofit

Good idea! Yeah it would be cool if the pre-boarding option would be added at the desk like a corner of the boarding pass where it was noted and the agent said could just check it off when they printed it . This would not be able to happen on an electronic boarding pass or on the kiosks but would make things easier!

Hm I suggest checking it on its own just to be safe. I know once you activate it, it slowly evaporates water so there's some ice component before so I say definitely check it by itself. You can also take it up to the counter and ask if you already have two checked bags and would rather not pay extra.

I submitted a lost item note for my IPAD but I also called Atlanta and then Bston which were the next two airports for my plane. They were able to find it in Boston by me calling a couple of times. The lost item note however still said it was lost weeks later so I suggest trying this method. Good luck! Also re-reading the OP I see that you said 1 a.m. deplaning, so the item was probably still at the airport overnight, I hope it was found. An iPad could go several stops undetected, but a whole bag might be noticed earlier I would think.
