That one's easy -- take a seat as near the front of the bus as possible. If that means a center seat, so be it - especially if your connection boarding position is an A and the connection is to a long flight -- like Hawaii.
If you happen to have a C boarding position on the connection, it makes less difference.

Sorry to hear you ran into trouble.
But the fact of the mater is that people that provide wheel chair assistance at any airport are either employees of the airport or are contract employees of the airport. Southwest has nothing to do with them.
Thus your complaint should be filed with the airport.

That would be against the law.

You do not need to prove you are disabled and federal law prevents the airline for asking for proof. just tell the airline that you need to preboard.

This says this question is "solved." I guess that is true if you count saying "You can't do that" as solved. I have tried everything on the Southwest website and even spoken with multiple phone reps. Unless I'm really missing something, you can't book A-->B and C-->A on one itinerary.
In Southwest's multi city mehodologyyou can only book A to B to anywhere you want. There is no way to enter a 4th city in the equation. So just book two one ways.
The earlier "solved" referred to multi city not working.
It just will not work in the way you want it to work.

"Yes, I'm sure they loaded enough fuel for Austin and a secondary airport but not Denver and that was intentional in my opinion."
Do you have any proof or are just flying by the seat of your pants?
edit add:
To do what you suggest would mean that the airline intentionally violated FAA rules:
"No person may dispatch or take off an airplane unless it has enough fuel— (a) To fly to the airport to which it is dispatched; (b) Thereafter, to fly to and land at the most distant alternate airport (where required) for the airport to which dispatched; and (c) Thereafter, to fly for 45 minutes at normal cruising fuel"
I think not

Yup, it looks like your item is in Alabama - where the airline sends all the stuff it finds.
Make sure your lost item report includes a serial number and there's a pretty good chance that you'll get it back. It can take up to 30 day.s
Good luck

There was obviously something that came up where it was known this would happen in advance, but this isn't typical and I don't expect it was as simple as not wanting to pay for fuel in San Jose.
Agree. While airlines may choose to "not fill the tanks" at airports where fue;l prices are high, they certainly will get enough fuel to get to the destination + alternate airport and mandated reserves.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.
What did you want SW to do? It could not land in Denver. It could not land in Colorado Springs. The nearest SW stations were either Amarillo or Albuquerque. It may not have had enough gas to get to these. So it had to land somewhere to get fuel. In retrospect, choosing Pueblo Memorial Airport (not a private airport in the middle of nowhere) was a pretty good idea. It has a runway long enough to handle a 747. It’s an ex military airport with a runway over 2 miles long.
What it does not have is provisioning capability for 100+ passengers on a plane that would normally not land there. Thus SW offered passengers the food and drink already on the plane as more was not available.
Pueblo has passenger service but only via small prop aircraft. TSA rules probably came into play . Allowing passengers off the plane into a non sterile area would have been a violation. They would not be allowed back on the plane. Thus keeping passengers on the plane was probably the only option.
I guess if SW made a mistake, it was leaving Colorado Springs the first time to try to get you to Denver. It probably would have been better to just stay in Colorado Springs. Then again hindsight is always 20/20.
All airlines have horror stories. Some are the fault of the airline. This one was not.

I think the reason is that the rules for kids larger than 20 pounds are different: they must be forward facing in the seat.
So have one approved seat that acccomodates broth rear and forward seating options would be less confusing than having two different rules -dependent on the weight of the child.
