H NatRose ANYTHING can be a carryon as long as it's no larger than 10X16X24 (box, backpack, soft or hard suitcase, or even an item in a plastic bag. Your carry on should be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. As a practical matter, if you exceed the above dimensions by an inch you'll be fine. Some airlines stick strictly to their requirements. I've never seen Southwest do that. Just don't be outrgeously too large.

@ZevSupport I am glad that you like the carousel at DIA. It seems that they are improving their carousel, all due to the mile high in Colorado where peoples comes in there to skiing. Glad that you had some fun time there.

Hey there, Routes are set way in advance. Airlines vary with their routes: on Sunday there may be a direct, but on Monday there isn't. Honestly speaking, Southwest is 99% UNLIKELY to add a direct flight for that date if they haven't already. Be sure to share feedback though, so that the airline knows that is a passengers request. Hope this helps! Safe travels. Zev

I don't recall if it was Punta Cana or not, but there was a post along the lines of boarding the bus according to position and then a melee off of the bus. It may be possible that you should forgo EBCI and just take it as it comes. I have found EBCI useful for international flights however where you may not have internet access to check in - to avoid being the last person to check in at the airport maybe EBCI has some additional value.

Hello, so I did receive a email on last Friday that they found my phone. I had to pay a 42.00 shipping fee for them to ship it 2day (it said receive Tues) thru FedEx (yikes). Still cheaper than paying for a new phone. Since I did it after 6pm on Fri it ended up being 3day instead because I got it on yesterday, Wed. While waiting for my phone over last weekend I saw I got a separate email saying they are still looking for my item and haven't been able to locate yet. I thought that was weird because I just paid to have my phone shipped. Come to find out they gave me 2 separate claim numbers. One for my phone and 1 another for my charger. Luckly the phone is what made its way back to me. I am going to cancel the other for my charger because I am not going to pay another high cost shipping fee for a charger. I have a few already at home. Everything is fine with the phone so I'm happy now. Thanks for you all help and concerns.

@ronnyradio wrote: Geez, what was the purpose of this? Do you work for SWA or just an apologist? Obviously the OP knows that a ton of people love SWA but it does't work for him and his group and their policies (idiotic in his opinion) have cost them 700K annually. SWA should know this - and now they do. I'm skeptical that if this group has been traveling in the past that they don't already have go-to airlines, so it wouldn't be accurate to say all of their travel was in play necessarily - anyway, the policies that "cost" $700k in this case have earned Southwest much more from the many customers ( >120 million annually) that have embraced their way of doing business. That said they would always hope for a few more, and setting up this community is one path to help people new to the airline or infrequent travelers to gain a comfort level and become repeat customers. The OP didn't seem to be very interested in adapting to the system or learning any alternate approaches though - why did he post here if not to get some sort of feedback or audience?

@ZevSupport wrote: Got that part. Thanks for bolding. My question is, must I wait for the billing statement to close, or as soon as I hit 4k, the companion pass is already sent/sending? The interpretation is that points are only earned when Chase sends the request to Southwest, and that only happens when a statement closes. Southwest does not have any access to your account to know the "live" status or that you've made any payment to Chase. Edit: You don't actually have to have paid the statement to get the points, the points are earned on the statement closing. But no, you would not be able to rack up the charges, pay them in advance, and then earn CP earlier.

Good idea! Yeah it would be cool if the pre-boarding option would be added at the desk like a corner of the boarding pass where it was noted and the agent said could just check it off when they printed it . This would not be able to happen on an electronic boarding pass or on the kiosks but would make things easier!

@SandySarge wrote: So you’ve reached a Companion status and boy are you (and your lucky Companion) thrilled!! You book your first adventure together and are all ready to go. You jump right online 23:59 hours ahead to checkin and it all starts to unravel. You get A-22 (whoop) but your pal gets C-48. Yikes, now you have to be that jerk who saves that seat on the exit row or the one who never quite makes eye contact. You hope it works but ya never know. not the best way to start a new level after it takes so long to get to Companion. So - here’s my idea - have Companion tickets on the same reservation (not a separate one), and have them board together. We’ve earned that coveted level and we want to have our Companion feel as special as we do. After all, most of them are stuck at home while we are always off flying. Just a thought It's pretty unlikely that checking in right at t-24 would generate a C-48 boarding position. 😉 But your point is valid, and has been raised before. Southwest had tested a procedure that would allow Companions to board with the Companion Pass holder, but it hasn't been officially accepted as policy. Hopefully, some day.

As Blake posted, within 24 hours you'll need to cancel (not change) the flight, and request a refund to the credit card used for payment (not travel funds). Then rebook and apply the voucher to the new flight.

@Chadly wrote: I wanted to clarify the routing.... MKE to STL (Change plane) STL to OKC then OKC to LAS. Kind of a round a bout way but....... Sounds fine to me! 1) If you did miss the connection for some reason, there will be other routes from STL to LAS that don't go through OKC. 2) If you do catch the flight but end up with a middle seat, you'll be allowed to re-seat yourself after the local passengers deboard at OKC, and the STL to OKC leg should be a quick flight. 3) There's no change fee, so if you go online and find a more direct route or a route with longer layovers you are free to change although you must pay the current fare price which may be higher (or lower). In particular for these quick layovers there are often two connecting options that use the same MKE-STL leg, and then have varying layover in STL to go to LAS - you could choose one that was longer if it suited you better when you booked.

Was this about Abcde? Your post is the fist time I've seen mentioned anything about her having an illness or disability. The issue about the staff was discussed at length on another thread, and I think everyone agrees that the behavior was innapproprite and I would expect severe consequences for that staff member, but understand that the staff member has rights as well so the disciplinary action may not be made public. Southwest may reach out to Abcde personally I would hope some LUV, but that's not something a member of the public is entitled to know.

Oh, wow! That's not a plesant sight to witness, and defintely not one to think of either. Regarding the airline's pet rules, Southwest states that: A pet that engages in disruptive behavior may be denied boarding. Examples of disruptive behavior include (but are not limited to): Scratching, excessive whining or barking Growling, biting, lunging Urinating or defecating in the cabin or gate area. Hopefully, this prevents certain pets from ever boarding the flight. I'd also suggest you share this via Contact Us as well: https://www.southwest.com/contact-us/contact-us.html. Zev
