Fox News does not provide propaganda. Like their slogan its "Fair and balanced" If anything I am pleased beyond words that a 1 sided political news group like MSNBC is gone.

As long as you have your details entered on the reservation/in your account, you should be good. However, note that having Precheck doesn't guarantee Precheck (yeah, it sounds funny since Precheck is a paid service) - TSA ultimately decides if you have it printed on your ticket or if you are chosen for a random non-Precheck ticket.

Doesn't cost those points. Those are the points you receive from buying blue apron or whatever else via their links. So instead of earning 2600 RR points on blue apron, you earn 3800. It's a good thing, not a cost thing.

I whole heartedly agree with original poster.
What makes us travel Southwest, almost exclusively, are the things Southwest is planning to change. Once Southwest becomes like all the other airlines there will be no reason to always look to Southwest 1st. Currently we are aware that Southwests baggage policy makes it worth paying a little more. I hope management will reconsider giving into a whinny stockholder only interested in quick profits and with no interest in the satisfaction of long-term customers.

You can double check but I believe you clear customs in Costa Rica at the airport before boarding for return to the USA.
I don't think Costa Rica has it yet - Bermuda, Bahamas, and Aruba.
Southwest wouldn't sell this combination if they didn't think it would work most of the time.
The wildcard here is if you clear customs in MCO if they let you recheck luggage and have a dedicated access to security re-screening in the international area or if you have to go back to the main lobby in which case the lines can be long.
Maybe @bec102896 have you ever come back to the US with MCO as the gateway? How is the customs and re-screening?

Hi folks,
For same day standby or same day change (with a-list), is it possible to standby to or from a nearby airport? Ie, San Francisco Bay area (SFO/OAK/SJC) - Los Angeles area (LAX/BUR/SNA/ONT/LGB)?
Just spent 2 hours driving from ONT to LAX for a 45 minute flight to SJC, was wondering if I could save myself some pain by flying from a closer airport between these places next time depending on road traffic conditions...
Cheers,
A
Hello-
I inquired not too long ago on this subject due to a hour-long delay at the airport and whether I could standby or do a Same Day Flight change to the nearby city. The rep informed me that the nearby-airport benefit applies if Southwest either does a schedule change after the original flight is booked or if Southwest cancels the original flight.
Otherwise, this benefit does not apply to a standard Same Day Standby.
Hope this helps.
Sometimes you could ask for this if there was a weather interruption as well - TPA/SRQ, MDW/ORD.
Without any extenuating circumstance then no, not allowed.
I'm not sure in your example you are saying that Southwest moved you from ONT to LAX - the choice was probably more frequent service at LAX or wait at ONT, that would be strange for them to move you like that unless they couldn't provide the service from ONT.
But would any of the other airports been closer than LAX?

The other advice here is great.
Although no warranty it will be the same on your date of flight check the gate assigned today for both flights and see how close they are. Check a few more days to see if there is any consistency.
Also I would expect you meant Midway which can be a hike from high “A” gates to high “B” gates but if you are at O’Hare it will be very close.

There’s no sale for January / February. We are already mid August and there hadn’t really been a real sale since June
SW has announced a number of Low-Fare sales since the BDAY-50 sale from last June. The discounted fare varies between routes, destinations, and dates of travel. SW's "Find the Best Flight Deals" page may help. Start by selecting your origin airport:
https://www.southwest.com/find-best-flight-deals/
Note that some airports including one not too far from where I work are usually excluded from SW sales. In the case of Orange County SNA airport, they are bound by a maximum passenger cap from a legal settlement; thus, to control passenger demand, prices are higher and are excluded from most SW sales.
Hope this helps.

Hello SouthWeset,
I recently redeemed my Rapid Rewards points for a Spotify gift card, intending to give it to my college daughter. However, we discovered that the card is restrictive and can only be used for Spotify's Premium service. We initially thought it could be used for any Spotify purchase, but it turns out to be a promotion for their Premium service. Had I known this, I wouldn't have redeemed my points for it. I've emailed Southwest about this issue but haven't received a response yet. I'm sharing this to warn others about this limitation so they don't fall into the same trap. If you do get this card, make sure you're interested in Spotify Premium specifically, as it can't be used for anything else on Spotify.
Best of Luck!!

The changes don't go into effect until next year. I'd just be patient and see what information comes out in September at the investor's meeting or by year end. I could be 100% wrong (wouldn't be the first time - haha), however, I'm sure they are aware of the "perks" they offer on the credit card (such as upgraded boarding) and have already considered what that could be replaced with under the new operating structure.
Note: Chase will flag your account as an account that received a credit and be less apt to assist in the future if you have an actual problem, because they can see you already received the credit (they won't care the "why"). So I'd use it sparingly.

Hi,
I think Yes, you can pack items like sleeping bags and tents inside a cooler as long as it is not used for food or liquids. Just ensure the cooler meets the airline size and weight restrictions for carry on or checked baggage.
Thanks

Unfortunately, two months ago departing LAS I spoke to the gate agents and explained I need a front row seat. I recently had surgery and am in a full locked leg brace which I have no movement at my knee. I also use a mobility scooter. When it was time to board, 8 wheelchair users stood up from their wheelchairs and rushed down the jet way, while I was stuck behind them. The agent announced “ those in wheelchairs who can get themselves down the jet way, go ahead” . Unfortunately that put me in a position not having a front row seat and I safely boarding with my leg. So in a”perfect”world the disabled are often ignored. By the way the majority of these original 8 wheelchair users did not wait for a wheelchair to deplane. We all know that’s another topic.

Hi
I am planning to book a ticket with 40 min layover in Denver and no plane change. Since I am travelling with 16 months old, I would like to get out of plane and get back in after changing diapers and get some muscle relaxation for infant. I will be travelling with my family of 4. Is this allowed?
Double check ahead of time which lavatory has the changing table and ask the FA for a garbage back and you can wrap up the dirties inside a tied-off bag instead of putting it in the general trash.
If the flights are all on time and it is really 40 minutes you can think of this as 10 minutes deplaning, 10 minutes cleaning and paperwork, counting, and transition, and then 20 minutes of boarding and then leaving probably 10 minutes late.
So you don't get the full 40 minutes, you'd realistically be looking at ten minutes to be back and in line to board, with the A group already boarding by then.
Especially if the other two family members are also kids I'd suggest not getting off even if it was offered.
However, stay aware and if the flight arrives on time but gets delayed for departure then I'd ask.

Even though you didn't qualify for A-List Preferred this year based on points, Southwest Credit Cards offer other benefits that might be valuable to you. For example, you can earn points towards A-List status faster with Tier Qualifying Points (TQPs). Southwest Credit Cards also offer benefits like personalized alerts, authorized users, paperless statements, and exclusive access events.
