Hopefully the issue is now resolved but I'm posting for reference in case others in the future have the same question about how to send an email to Southwest. "Email" messages are sent using an online form, here are the steps: Click "Contact Us" at the bottom of any of the forum pages. Under the "Email Us" heading click on "Send us a message" Complete the form in the pop up window. Click "Send E-mail" at the bottom right part of the form.

Have you tried restarting the iPhone? I'm unaware of any issues, and I use my iPhone on all flights. Also, is this is a personal or business phone? Sometimes, biz admins may restrict certain features.

But I fly enough to earn my companion pass without getting points from a SWA credit card, hotels, car rentals, meals, etc. So, I fly regularly and I see this often enough to know that this is not isolated but yesterday was certainly one of the more brazen disregards for rules, curteousy, etc. I would really like a FA’s input. There are rules and knowing how important they are to the crew is really what I want to know. You won't get a FA's opinion here as this is a customer to customer forum. To get an official opinion from SW, click on contact us {below} and ask the question. Instance by instance, do they need to know about it? How soon? Etc. For example, when the guy took a call while we were taxing to take off, is it important enough to ring the call button and maybe stop the plane on the taxiway!? IMO, if it was an imminent safety hazard, yes, but per what you said earlier, you know that is not the case. Like you I have arrived at my destination. Pulled the phone out of my pocket to turn it on, and found that I never that turned it off. I suspect most phone owners have done that at least once. So I would say no.. Is it something to hold onto until it can be mentioned discreetly later in private (like the galley) to a FA or will they do nothing so let it go and do not worry. Again, IMO, that's what I would do. This phone situation is going to come up again so I want to know how deal with it then.

I had a bad experience with seat saving on a recent trip back from Hawaii. The human tendency to cheat and take advantage, in this case cost avoidance of an early bird fare that others pay, will always have those who abuse the system at the exspense of others, and some, as was our recent experience, will take it to an extreme to "reserve" mutiple seats. While I have been a devoted SW customer for many years and very much enjoy the companion travel feature, we have noted his trend increasing. It will be the reason we switch to another carrier that is less likely to turn a blind eye and is essentially complicit in the inequites associated with its obbiously less than fully "open" [for all] seating policy. In all fairness, if you wish to secure your seat for your family members or whatever, then pay the extra amount as the rest of us do. I don't see the big deal in this as a policy. It would appear that SW doesn't really care about this enough to change. Sad.

Considering the flight was only booked yesterday, the fact that the payment is 'pending' is not unusual. It normally takes a few days for the payment to post to my CC. But that aside, assuming the payment does post, then you should have your flight information under your account information on Southwest.com and you should have been e-mailed your itinerary. --Jessica

I am a huge SW fan but have started to encounter this problem more and more. Our last flight my husband and I got B27 and in the past have never had a problem finding two seats together. This flight we boarded the plane and went to the very last row before we could find two seats together. As we walked the length of the plane any two seats together were saved.....I saw people talking while waiting to board and heard them say "remember the plan...we will save the seat for you." So one person in the group paid for early boarding and the rest didn't. In fact two rows ahead of us a lady was saving two seats. Her husband and two kids boarded and she got up and gave up all three seats. She was an employee and she spent the airtime back with the flight attendants. I said something to flight attendant about saving seats and she said they couldn't do anything as there wasn't a policy for it. I wrote to SW and made a complaint and got a standard we are looking into this but at this time we want people to sit together. My point is if they want to sit together then they should board together and all get the early boarding or not. SW needs to take a stand so they don't alienate their loyal customers.

I keep earning myself - the points are now twice as valuable with a companion pass! The one change to habits as long as you aren’t chasing A-list or ALP is to use points bookings for personal travel the rest of the year, and back to paying for flights January 1.

Hi, @rogersar!
Thank you for reaching out to Southwest. As I’m sure you can imagine, we do get asked by many deserving organizations for ticket and monetary donations as well as sponsorships. In an effort to streamline our charitable giving, we have moved from accepting direct requests through email, phone, and Community and have moved our donation application process online at www.southwest.com/donation.
If you are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeking for donated tickets for a future event that is more than 60 days away we encourage you to submit an application online and we strongly recommend that all organizations read through our guidelines prior to applying.
We know our decision will be disappointing for you, but we do hope you can understand our position. We wish you the very best of luck and thank you for considering Southwest!
Kind Regards,

Get the stroller tagged early so that you are ready for boarding with it already having a gate check sticker. Anyone could drop it at the aircraft door once it is tagged. You don’t need to have the baby present as proof. Family boarding is the obvious choice if the B-number is far off. If it’s B-1 then they likely will let them just go with you. Actually if it’s B-anything and you all are A50’s then probably will allow it. Maybe an A-list group of three vacated their positions right before you checked in your group of four. Or booked separately and checked in a few seconds later? Or everyone else flies often and is A-list, but kiddo isn’t?

Hey there, The airline is always improving their routes. Sometimes, that means cutting direct service. While I'm not sure about this route, the best way to share your feedback is to contact the airline on social media (Twitter - @SouthwestAir, or Facebook) or to give them a ring: https://www.southwest.com/contact-us/contact-us.html. Hope this helps!

Aloha zabrina95! As an applicant who is currently going through the hiring process for the HNL station, it is VERY important that you follow through with any direction given to you by the Recruitment/People Department. If you were directed to attend any "hiring session" or to fill out any other supplemental form or application they are requesting, you should always jump on the opportunity to get any type of face time and networking with the recruiting team. This should be a behavior for any type of job you are serious in being hired for. Besides the application that is posted on the Career Site, there may be a second application/form provided by a recruiter, which serves as a legal document used for processing a Background Check and the very extensive Pre-screening process. That is the application process in a nutshell. After submission and review of your application, a recruiter will contact you to do either of the following: 1. Review your application with you, or 2. If the application is complete, will set up a phone interview. I hope this helps in giving you a little more clarity on the process. Please do keep up to date with your Dashboard and keep in contact with the recruiter who is in correspondence. Being diligent and very communicative is important in showing your enthusiasm for a position. Wishing you the best of luck!

@DancingDavidE wrote: To bring it full circle, if you book a flight with vouchers (aka LUV) and then cancel that flight, you'll be issued a travel fund. Even a refundable fare will become a travel fund since they doin't refund back into a new voucher. I'm unsure how the travel fund expiration would be determined in that case. Travel Funds come from a cancelled or changed flight. If applied to a new flight, all funds for that new flight take on the earliest expiration date of any funds applied. On Refundable Fares (Business Select, Anytime, Senior, Child, etc.), the balance from Travel Funds or Vouchers applied will become Travel Funds. Any new money from a credit card can be refunded back to the card account by contacting Customer Relations.

Southwest's gift card terms and conditions do say you can use up to 3 cards per passenger on each reservation, so in theory you should be able to use nine (or eight plus a credit card). I don't have any experience with this however, and I do know that difficult redeeming multiple Southwest gift cards is a common complaint we see frequently, so it's possible the wording in the terms and conditions is incorrect. If you have issues doing this online you might want to try calling to complete your booking. Alternately, as mentioned earlier you could split the booking up into multiple reservations. Good luck! Southwest gift cards – A maximum of three Southwest gift cards can be applied per passenger on each reservation. If your purchase exceeds the amount available on the three Southwest gift cards, you will only be allowed to use two Southwest gift cards and another form of payment will be required for the difference.

@ZevSupport wrote: SWA can also assist with changing the Companion over Twitter. However, as everyone else has warned, you can only change Companions three times. In my opinion if it's more than the price of the ticket to do this and you won't do another switch, go for it! Safe travels! Note that you can change your companion three times per calendar year that you have the pass. If you qualify the "normal" way (not via a special, limited promotion), you receive the pass for the remainder of the year in which you qualify and all of the following year. That means you can have up to 7 total different companions over that period. Just keep in mind that you cannot change the named companion until any travel booked with the current one has been completed (or alternately, you'll need to cancel any existing companion's flights prior to changing your companion.)
