Here is an update to an old post. Mine is slightly different in nature, therefore I've started a new thread. I will preface you with the fact I've lost count on how many times this has happened to me, which means lots. What can be done about having a "drink coupon" for each connecting flight for, that flight only, and service was discontinued, or not started at all due to turbulence? Once you land that voucher is now useless. Yes, I had the luck of my connecting flight not getting service due to the same issue on the same day, so on this trip, I actually had two useless drink vouchers/coupons. Now I would agree, we are talking about something very minimal in value, and I would agree. But maybe have an option for an extended voucher on another flight you would get from the ticket counter as you exit. I'm assuming they would know there was no service with the quick call of the phone. Now in the case of not wanting an alcohol drink, the option of requesting a "sealed" beverage to take with you or to consume on the plane in addition to your normal drink? Or as has been suggested, access to wifi in trade for the drink voucher. This is the one I would actually prefer. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to suggest and put my thoughts out there.

Good Job SWA. Nobody is going to get 100% perfect, just keep moving forward and tweaking to make it the best you can. Some things you are responsible for, others you aren't. I've seen you adjust to suggestions and I feel safe with you and appreciated.

Thanks for updating me on that. Since I have, nor don't foresee, carrying a gun when I travel I've never even visited that policy or information.

Solid advise. But have a logical answer prepared should the potential employer bring up the topic of salary. PLEASE, don't say, I didn't know what the position paid.

I don't know what the heck is going on. This is another promotion that I've not heard anything about. Yes, I'm signed up for every notice process possible with SWA. BING! 🙈🙉🙊 I need to get with it.

I will reply here to tappingmom1 and you. While I agree with you 100%, I also know that when I'm frustrated that people fly by me 25 miles over the speed limit breaking the rules, at some point, there is a chance that they get caught and ticketed. But your points are well taken and I appreciate it. Mine, (and others) like yours, are comments to be taken as constructive and use as we wish. My comment is about voicing an option that could be considered for all those that can't control their behavior and take their own safety into consideration. I doubt SW wants anyone to take the, "well don't fly then," approach.

Not surprised. I've enjoyed being a customer of SW. Not every flight get the A-plus, but I know you're trying.

I'm confused about the Travel voucher comment as well. I'm not sure we are getting the entire story.

I doubt it's enough, but I've made an effort to continuously buy RR points. Since they don't expire, it's just really like moving money into a savings account. And since I use my RR credit card I get additional points that way. I wish there was more I could do that benefits both of us. I will keep buying points. I have done this every month since March.

I've started seeing more and more posts in regard to people carrying firearms on flights. I'm really not sure what to think about this at this moment. I guess I was under the impression that firearms had to be in checked baggage, or am I reading all these wrong. I'm sorry, I don't think any type of firearm would/should be in the actual plane.

Gosh, I didn't know this still existed. I know I was doing this about 5 years or so ago, but then I stopped getting survey requests. Out of sight out of mind. I know I had points built up in there. Is there site you go to and sign up, I really don't even remember how I got involved.

this is just me, but any movement from one place to another for any amount of time is risky. Is 14 days extensive, yes, even I think so. I traveled and upon my return spent 3 days in a hotel away from my wife as a precaution, because I care. after that went home and distanced for several more days. No, not the 14, but at least I made that effort. To each his own what you chose to do. I live in a state not as dire as the state of NY. So if I was there, I might have a different attitude. Be safe.

If you are checking one bag and it's a bit over, then possibly have an empty or not so full additional carry on, or to be used as a second checked bag to switch some items over to.

which is why I put on multiple posts that SW should just have water and snacks in a bag that you grab as we board, this spaces out the time in which passengers have their masks off. This only addresses number 3 of your concern.

I mentioned this before. But if giving water and a snack is going to happen, then it is going to happen. However, (and I have no idea or data to back this, just a random thought). If as you get on the plane a passenger is able to grab pre-bagged water and snack that would be nice. This (in my mind) would then have people intermittently have their masks off and not everyone in the section just served all exposed at the same time. If I'm snacking and my seat partner has their mask on, less risk to them. If they are snacking and I'm masked up, I'm a bit safer. If we all in the immediate area are all snacking and not masked up, we might be more suspectable. Just a random thought.

Wow, I understand your concern. Guess it's time you consider flying 2 of the other airlines I've flown on beside SW and found the same thing. Oh, and be prepared to pay an extra 40-60 dollars per destination in baggage fees.

You know, until they reach out to C.S. to find out why, she and we will never know. Hopefully, if they want to take the time and effort to vent then they will do that. Maybe somebody got sick, stuck in traffic, whatever. I'm a college instructor and have a "Final Exam" to present to my students at the end of a semester. On my commute to the school I there was a semi overturned and I missed the last exit to detour. I was stuck for over 3 hours. Suffice to say, the final exam didn't happen, (at that time) and many students dire to get home were pretty upset. My fault? We just don't know until they address it to someone who can give an answer, this forum can't.

I don't have the answer for you, but I've seen 100% compliance on my travel. Now I will admit, I've not passed any at Security checkpoints. I would think that any employee at an airport would/should have to have one on.

You know, I don't have the answer. But let me tell you this, I've flown on every airline that has ever operated on a national scale except, JetBlue. I've encountered on every airline at one time or another some type of travel anxiety from them. If I decided to not fly on each one of them I'd be doing nothing but driving. What I find most often on this discussion, myself included, that we post issues without having done the simple process first, "contact customer relations." This forum would then be useful to express that outcome, or lack of, of what you encounter from C.S. HOWEVER, there is one airline that I don't fly anymore at all due to multiple issues I've encountered flying with them.
