I like your rebuttal!!!!!!!!!!! But I think in this case I could argue both sides. I can take my own bottle of cleaner into a restroom or hotel, but I am at the mercy of the airlines on a flight.

You all are on the right track here. SW should consider not everyone wants a drink coupon. I'll just say it. I love to have a beverage, but don't because I don't want to be stuck up in mid-flight with the "fasten seatbelt" sign on and stuck holding it in for the next 40 minutes. I know, it's just me and my weak bladder, but it is what it is. I would gladly take a free wifi voucher any day, and then buy my own drink if that happens.

If I read it right, he wasn't wanting liquor coupons, but coupons for free WIFI. Maybe I'm wrong. And I like that idea.

Great question, as I am about to change mine for the second time. I'm still on a mandatory 14-day lockdown in my state if I travel by plane out of state and back. I'm not ready to do that.

Good question: Hope somebody from SW gets back on this soon

I'm waiting for an employee to reply to this one! I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere on another post that it "didn't" apply to companion. Only on those where you book altogether and one of them is an A-List, meaning you paid full price for everyone in that group. I hope clarification comes soon as I am about to start traveling again and have a Companion person. I hope I'm wrong.

You can bet I will be sure to WAVE 🖐 at you when I fly over you. But it more than likely will be on my return trip from where I'm coming from as you will still be on the road.

I have no idea why "dfwskier" would do a LOVE for Nicole's reply. I would hope that everyone would have loved that the points would have gone to A List..and so on. Nicole did make it clear these don't go towards those programs....... 😞 Nicole, say it isn't so. Keep up the good work S.W.

If I'm correct, SW addresses that younger aged children aren't required to wear masks. My suggestion would be to place them in the window seat to avoid people walking by or other children who board and are also not wearing masks.

I'm glad you brought this up. I've had the same concern about the recirculated air and had a misconception about it as many others might. It is good to know that it is often fresh air taken in. I feel a bit better now knowing this.

This is actually something that I've said for many years to myself. Those who chose, (and at one time I actually chose to, even as an A list) or know more than likely they would be in the rear with a C boarding pass board first. It's easy to regulate with Flight Attendants onboard making sure they seat themselves in the back 15 rows. The ticket taker can announce, "The first 30 people who want to sit in the back of the plane please board now." 30 people board and go right to the back and the Flight Attendant can assure they go to the back. I honestly doubt that somebody would board in that 30 and actually try to sit in the front. I seen today on TV that one airline started doing this? I really can't understand why it took a pandemic to make one flight attendant out of the thousands who have seen this every day for years to just now see this might work. Glad somebody finally figured it out. I'm still an A-List passenger and won't mind waiting for the 30 to board first, (45 board when full flights start back up) because I have to wait on them anyway if I'm the first one on sitting in my seat. Those of us A-List and with A seating numbers won't be out of the seat we would be getting anyway, I just think we will have the doors closed faster.

I've seen on TV where other airlines just have plastic bags of snacks and water as you board. I think this would be a better process for SW and make less interaction on our flight attendants keeping them safer and fewer sets of hands on the products.

Great to know we now have the option of on flight drinks and snacks, or to just purchase before we board. Things are slowly moving back to normal and SW is, IMO, trying to think of customer first in all it does.

I just propose, that if you only book enough seats for now on any flight that the middle seat should be open and nobody forced to sit there would be a great protocol right now. If a group of 3 wants to sit together, great, then some flyers will have a row to themselves. For those that want to sit beside each other as a pair, can slide once the doors close. This would assure that every passenger knows that there is for sure a middle seat open option 100 percent of the time. Over time this would be done away with as more passengers fly, but it would surely be the deciding factor right now if me and my wife were to fly. As is, we aren't flying at all. It's just a suggestion.

When SW was about to change their flight status to CZM I was sent an email that it might be coming and to consider changing myself. When I failed to act, they finally sent me an email of the cancellation of the trip and asked what I wanted to do, change dates was an option or refund. I chose the refund, but hope to book again soon. It actually looks like I can now go for much cheaper after July. I hope you get a good resolution for your trip. SW has been good to me.

That list is only relevant if you book late. If I book 2 weeks out, then I might get a wanna get away price, meaning less populated. Understanding that it's not just, breath, that you can contract it from, all could be on hands, clothes, (we now know shoes track the virus in), and so on. In most cases, I'm sure all people will take precautions with not touching you, but inadvertent touching and rubbing happen. I've had a middle seat and have gotten accidental contact from both sides. Unless gloves are passed out as you board and discarded as you exit, there can be a contraction of the virus that doesn't come from a breath or a cough. I'm not taking sides, (well a little bit) but I'd not sit next to someone right I didn't come with, sorry. You do have a point, and we appreciate your comment.

I'm not in your situation, but I can say that since this pandemic, I've canceled or had canceled, (a trip to Cozumel) at least 5 flights. With each one, I've found SW to be accommodating to what I wanted to do. Since Cozumel was with points, they have all been refunded. I've had one $$ refund and $$ refunded for the costs of companion pass travel fees. Maybe things have changed since this was posted. I wish you the best that a solution for you comes your way.

This doesn't solve the issue. IMO, (and I respect yours) I'm not ready, and I'm sure many others aren't ready to sit by somebody we don't know their social distance behavior. Yes, when full capacity happens, and yes it will, until then SW can be pro-active to social distance practices. There are flight attendants, they can assist.

I disagree that a one flight stop vs a non-stop doesn't make any difference. But again that is only my opinion. I think the fewer people you encounter you decrease your chances of contraction. Getting off a plane and expose yourself to hundreds of more people than the 134 on the flight you came on could increase it. And then you have a new population of people on the second flight and the contacts they have encountered from the multiple airports they flew out of. But you have to decide what you feel is best. When I start to travel I will only do non-stop flights with no plane change. Things will eventually.
