I think at the time the decision was made, cases were at the most, steady.  However, what we have seen in the last 5 weeks hopefully will allow SWA to reconsider, but then what if there are already flights that have booked past the number of only window and aisle seats?    I don't have the answer, just know that I will have to cross that bridge when I get there in 3 weeks.  I wish they would reconsider.   ... @jimmerpro  They are serving alcohol within the airport terminals.  I suggest if you have a one-way flight that you get to the airport early and indulge in a before flight drink.   Or if you book a flight with a layover, seek out the nearest pub and slam one before you board again.  Or better yet, just get flights with a layover, get to the airport early, get a quick one, (double maybe), and then you can have another during your layover.   As stated, no alcohol on the flight right now.  ... You know I've often gone to the SW Vacations because they appear to have some great deals.  I look them over, get ready to book, but always at the last moment decide to wait.  Maybe something was telling me, DON'T do it.   With all the complaints I've seen on this company, (NOT AFFILIATED WITH SWA) they just don't have a good reputation.  I would hope at some points SWA would get the picture and have somebody with the company seek out a better vacation package partner.   ... The boost actually got me almost to A list when they had given them out, and this is the closest I've ever been to A-List Plus, Preferred, or whatever it is.  I'm about 20,000 away and don't look like I'm going to get it since really the only way to get them is by flying.  I've got flights, but have been smart enough to book those way ahead on 120 or less flights, so only get about 700 points per flight.   ... @dfwskier I'm sure that had something to do with it, if it made money, it wouldn't have stopped.  You might know, just when the NFL started to do Monday Night Football games in Mexico City, the team I support was playing that game.  SWA stopped flying there several months earlier.  It's been my life, so I'm used to it.   I'm sure that just suggesting a city won't make it change if it doesn't fit a business model to make money.   I'd love to see them go to Missoula, MT, Cheyenne, WY, Bismark, ND, Anchorage, AK, Toronto, Vancouver Canada, and so on.  Hummm, why no flight at all to Canada?  Does anyone have that answer?  ... @bwallet I will admit, I sneak a mask pull down from time to time to get a few non obstructed breaths through the nose, but I don't keep my nose exposed beyond that.  If I was on a flight with you and you saw my nose, I apologize.   I hear you, and the odds are if you're flying 30 flights you've seen more than I.  But from the beginning of the pandemic to now, I will take the occasional nose over the just blatant refusal to wear anything at all.  There will always be that less than 1% in society that we have to keep our eye on.  Safe travels. ... Well even if SWA seat sales go up with selling the middle seat, I don't think they are going to recover the 17 million a day loss.  This would be a great way to increase income in the short run and end the quarter a bit stronger, I would buy several of these packages.  It would be like the old voucher system, (THAT I LOVED) when you volunteer to give up your seat, or when they messed up your flights.  You would just get a voucher, to be used on any flight regardless of where you are going or price.  Now I do admit, they didn't go to Hawaii, lots of the Islands, and places in Mexico then.  But say buy a voucher for $250 that puts you on any flight anytime, RT, I would buy about 10 of them, honestly.   ... I think any of us that travel often has had to deal with this.  I was just informed my Hawaii trip in Feb which was to get me home at 4:00 pm now is changed to get me back at 11:00 pm  That may be a bit more livable than your situation, but I've learned to expect it.  I keep trying to remind myself, SWA has done more good for me over the years than hurt me, so I'm going to hang in longer.  You were informed to get a full refund and then book another airline, and that goes for all readers.  I'm sure at some point you will come back to SWA.   ... That is actually a fantastic reply.  I'm sad to see you left out Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and so on.  I drive through there on my way to Denver and always wondered.  And back in the day, actually did a one-week training camp at the Olympic Training Center.  I Coached team that competed against Colorado College and other area collegiate teams.  Maybe I just wasn't looking around.  Thanks for the enlightenment.   ... I wish I could cut and paste, but I guess I will just write what I've written in other posts of this nature.  I've done 10 flights since May.  I've not seen any issue of on plane incidents on all 10 flights.  But I'm not saying it doesn't' happen, sorry to hear you had to be on the very few flights that it did.  ... Lol, if you interpret my response to be speaking strictly about mileage then you clearly did not understand it as intended. I love Phoenix, I'll take a burger from The Stand any day, but it is no Chicago or Houston. Could Mesa happen? Sure. So could hundreds of other airports in the country.
