From what I hear, people have WIFI issues on many airlines, there are just so many moving parts in WIFI on a plane to be perfect for every plane. It just might be something you have to get used to.

If you're asking for a definitive answer, this is a customer-to-customer forum and you should direct your question to SWA customer relations directly. If you're asking for a customer's opinion, I can answer from what I know. Since you purchased a non-refundable ticket, you won't be refunded, but the ticket price will be placed in your travel rewards account. Personally, it is my wish that SWA does require a vaccine travel requirement. There are still 40,000 cases a day of COVID nationally, which is very high. You have the right to get the vaccine or not, but as a business and company, at some point, SWA will have the ability to make their own mandates, but personally, I don't think this will be one.

@bwallet Thanks. The intent of this discussion forum again proves that it works. I'm glad I withdrew my name from consideration for community champion, I've still got so much to learn. I'm a much better purchaser and flyer than I am an informer.

Good suggestions from everyone. I wouldn't rely on the mandate being loosened by the time you travel. If for any reason you can postpone it to later, I'd suggest that you do. This is the umpteenth time this has been addressed, you approached it in a far more constructive way than many others. My answer is the same, kids are smarter than you think and do want to be like, and do like, others. If they see masks all the time, they see it as a norm, not as something different. You got the suggestion of making it a game. It's just like wearing clothes, we are all born naked, and we want to stay naked and free, but we learn, forcibly, that you have to wear clothes, it's really not much different. Work on shorter durations of time as you lead up to departure. I'm sure that FA doesn't stand by your chair, if they can make small pockets of time and just have them drop it every so often (when FA has gone by) they should do just fine.

Let me, first of all, thank you for your service, you're a better person than I. I'm not in the military nor ever have been. But had a father, two brothers, and multiple relatives who have been, so it's not like I'm totally in the dark. I do find it a bit odd that your thinking that your children would qualify for a military discount while not being in the military. This might be apples to oranges, but I wouldn't expect a cashier to give everybody in my party the senior 10% discount on our meal because I qualify. Do I wish that you could get this discount, yes!! I think the military is underappreciated in terms of small benefits of appreciation. I start getting a senior discount for flying in a year, and if I book myself and 5 others on the same booking, I'm not expecting those that are not seniors on my booking to get the discount. Again, thanks for your service.

@slotmanal Thank you for your service. Now, you took the time to create a post, can you take the time to answer the question directed to you about contacting the airport. I know that for SWA there is outside baggage on the curb. If you address the wheelchair concern to them, they try and assist in getting a wheelchair for you. And as already addressed, that falls on the airport, not specifically the airlines.

@tara25604 My husband can't stand for 2 hours in line waiting to get on a plane. Please clarify what this means?? When do you ever stand in line for 2 hours to get on a plane? If you're talking about boarding, I've at the most been in line for 30 min. Unless you're one of those people who even before they talk about boarding for some reason have to get the spot on in line. I've always waited until they start checking in the pre-boarding because after that is when they start to allow A boarding.

@tara25604 Please show me, (or anyone else) where a "larger" person who buys 2 seats gets refunded? I've paid for my larger son-in-law twice to get the extra seat and have never been reimbursed, nor was it ever conveyed to me that I could. I'm not saying you're trying to deceive, but please verify this, obviously, I'm going to take advantage of this. If it isn't a policy, then it shouldn't be a part of your argument. I'm going to address the size in another post.

@abereann @dfwskier My message should have stated, dfwskier is correct. I recall the 50 lb bag limit was also about keeping the overall poundage down for the plane altogether to save on fuel costs and for plane balance. It's been so long I've actually forgotten. But yes, for the baggage handler as well.

@abereann King is correct, you will be charged. Here is a possible solution. When I think I'm going to be close to the 50, I have an approximately 2 lb duffle bag that I put on the very top of the bag I'm checking. If they tell me that it's over 50, I unzip, throw about what I think is the poundage over into that duffle bag, and I'm good to go. Took me about 1 min to do all that. I also found on vacation to just do this anyway as I always bring back more than I leave with because I load up on souvenirs for my kids and grandkids. Or the souvenirs I bring back, local IPA's and coffee blends.

@pronto @JimTex The last I looked, all airlines are for profit? This isn't to dismiss that you had a bad experience. If you did everything correctly, I'm sure SWA will take a look at it. What I don't see is that you have contacted them and your reply on what happened. I will await for that.

Forgot to add, hotels really aren't an issue if you're not staying near the NFL stadium, but prices across the cities do slightly go up a bit.

@KelliC19 Middleseat gave you the answer you wanted. But if you want the most up-to-date info of the link, here you go. https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/index.html?clk=GFOOTER-FLY-FLTSCHEDULES To try and save you time, I've copy and pasted the up-to-date statement. NOTE: It does say subject to change, so check back frequently. We are currently accepting air reservations through November 5, 2021. On June 10, 2021 we will open our schedule for sale through January 5, 2022. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

I post this just for those of you that might have plans to fly to cities with NFL teams. Each year (until this one) I've made a poor judgement in not booking a "possible" attendance to an NFL game in advance. (And maybe I shouldn't post this, but I do want to help out my brother and sisterhood of SWA flyers) But when I wait I'm normally stuck with leaving early in the morning or the following days as the much smarter flyers have learned to book early because you can always bank the ticket for a future date if things don't pan out. Yet, another reason why I'm loyal to SWA. This also goes to those thinking of just flying to that an NFL city during football season. I'd check the NFL team's schedule for a weekend you might be planning to go there. And one more thing, rental cars on those weekends also become a premium, so you might want to go ahead and book one early as well, and then keep checking to see if the prices go down as you get closer to your departure.

I've actually been late over the 72 hours and decided to try anyway. BINGO, whomever the operator was doing that for me. I didn't want to get on here to make a big deal of it as a great CRelationship brag because I don't know if that would get them in trouble. Since it's about 2 months ago, now I'm posting it. Most of these complaints could be resolved if they would contact CR, or "going to the top" first. Most want to rant, then get good suggestions, and, wow, a remedy they wanted happens. I think it takes more time to make a profile and then get on here and rant than it does to get a reply from CS. But that's just me.

@kshawn "This creates an environment in which passengers don't see the need to follow protocol." Please speak for yourself. I see in every walk of life every day somebody not wearing a mask at the required venues. So why do you think that makes me or anyone else say, "oh snap if they are wearing a mask I won't either.???" I know your vent is towards the employee, which should have a higher level of standard, but to me, it doesn't make any difference.

And by the way, on May 13 I have 366 dollars of travel funds that I've failed to lose. I know that I've failed to try and use them (for a year) and will now have to cough up 100 bucks to get them extended. I'm just putting that on me as, MY BAD. Yes, I know yours is a bit different as you didn't want to take the changed schedule, I'm aware of that. Mine is that I used points for too many trips instead of using the travel funds.

@mjyork One of your comments you stated, "I wasn't aware that SWA...." so that leads me to feel you have part of the blame. Do I agree that sometimes the "fine print" of things is a raw deal, YES. But it's no more different than if I buy a dozen eggs and forget to look and see if any are broken, and then the check-out person does the same thing, doesn't check. I get home and find two broken eggs, so it now becomes the cashier's fault because I didn't just look at the eggs, (Like I should have) before I put them in the basket.

@Gstevenson I guess you were dropped on your collective head along with us if you think that the flight attendant being blonde has anything to do with this or any other post at all. Yes, we can infer what your comment is leading to, but I've found for the past 20 years, (Don't believe the hair color you see is natural) Lastly, maybe a more tongue in cheek approach could have been directed towards this poster, however, if you dare take the time to even read 20% of her post, it appears she started the attack of character.

I'll take a stab at this. Well although maybe the benchmark during the pandemic might have brought the other airlines closer to the level of what SWA offers, I've still not seen them pass the perks I get. Even if things were 100% equal in all things I received, the companion pass and A-List are my driving factor. I'd hate to think that I have to pay extra each time I booked to get a seat upfront, I always have one as an A-lister. And to factor in the price of travel for two as opposed to 1, (Companion Pass) I've stated many times, saves me, THOUSANDS, of dollars each year. Let's use 2021 alone, I've already done 8 flights, (with 8 flights free) and have in my future current travel 6 more flights, (with 6 flights free). So that's 14 flights. I think I can continue to defend SWA for a bit longer.

Can I just say this for those doing all the wait on the phone. It's been posted over and over that a quicker solution may be through a tweet, email, or whatever, not the phone. As soon as flight changes happen, it's not just happening to you, but hundreds, if not thousands who are trying to get on the phone at the same time, myself included. I have one perk, as an A list I get to press 1, and only wait 25-30 minutes, (which yes, is still frustrating.) I hope you got your issue resolved and have an outstanding trip. Since I've got at least 6 future trips in my upcoming flight activity, I get an email about every 3 days of this change or that. Some are only 5 mins and some hours. I've just come to expect it until we are all through this.

@Everyone..I've been flying for many years and have found there is no temperature that will please everyone. I've even found as I've aged that planes just seem to be colder? But even before that, it's always been protocol for me to just carry on with me a light jacket, that has pretty much solved the issue. And at times, saved me at my destination where I was unprepared for the drop in temperature while I was there.
