Hi!
I'm on my mobile device now and just checked both web formats. I'm getting the Week of Wow/50% off for both desktop and mobile sites. Can't reproduce what you're describing.
However, earlier today I was booking some flights and noticed the website was acting a little buggy. It was showing a generic 'promo' in place of the Wow and it was failing to load my upcoming flights on the dashboard. This was right around the same time Southwest's Flight Attendant job opening closed. Not sure if you got caught in that issue.
Try loading the web pages again.

Hello!
I would first check your purchase history with Southwest in your email box if you still have access to these. Southwest will email a receipt for such purchases. If this is not feasible, check with Chase. Not sure if this is tracked via your credit card profile or if you need to contact Chase customer service to verify.

I too was surprised about not receiving an email when I have in the past for cancelled/changed flights. When I spoke with customer service she said she is not sure why an email did not go out, and my points are still there as a holding spot, whatever that means.
Thanks! Yes, Southwest may be forced into positions where they have to have to update its schedule due to several factors including those beyond its control. I have not experienced this personally with my trips. What is unusual was the lack of email.
Looks like you did what you can by speaking to a rep. Were they able to re-accommodate you or offer an alternative trip plan (e.g. booking you from SNA to another major Southwest airport like LAS, PHX or DAL and then separately to PVR Mexico)?

Does the purchase of a business select ticket give the 12x bonus points towards companion pass? If I make the purchase with my SW credit card, are there more points that given that would go to my companion pass? I am close to receiving another companion pass, but I want to make sure that purchasing a business select will go towards my companion points. Thanks! David.
Hi! Yes...Assuming you purchase with a SW Credit Card (or any other form paid entirely with dollars, Southwest LUV Vouchers, gift cards or travel funds, and with no portion of the purchase price paid for with Rapid Rewards points), the 12x TQP Rapid Rewards points from Business Select count toward Companion Pass and Tier Status. Note that the points are given after the whole trip under the confirmation number is fulfilled, not during booking; thus if trying to fulfill for 2023, be sure to book a trip that will be completed by the end of the year.
In addition, the x-points for x-dollars benefit under the SW Credit Card also count for Companion Pass but not Tier status. Those points get posted upon the posting of your billing statement.

I booked a flight back in June from SNA to PVR on 12/19, there were 2 flights. I just went to check my points to see if they went down for that flight and it was missing from my account! I went in to book the flight and it was totally missing, only 1 flight that day now, which is completely booked! I never even received an email that it was cancelled. This is 2nd half of a multi-stop trip, and I can't change the date to leave on 12/18 or 12/20, because all resorts and plans are made for the 2 different locations.
Is it possible that SW will add a flight back on that day? I have checked all 5 airports in driving distance and they are all booked for that day!
Hello-
This forum is customer-to-customer; Southwest Customer Service would likely need to review your booking to confirm this and to provide alternative plans but I may be able to answer the points question for you.
Just to clarify, it appears you booked this trip back in June which will take place this December. Correct? If so, the Rapid Rewards points will post to the account after the complete trip is finished in December, not at booking.
Regarding the "missing" second flight option, I find it unusual to not receive a cancellation notice on a booked flight that the airline cancels. I would give Customer Service a call to be sure:

I moved from Nashville (BNA) to Knoxville (TYS) Haven't flown Southwest since. I just wonder why Southwest doesn't do a gate deal in Knoxville and have a BNA shuttle. One flight a day to start.
The Smokey Mountain National Park is the most visited park in the U.S. The Big Ears Music Festival sells out the entire city each March. Other Southwest frequent flyers are moving into Knoxville in droves and switching to Delta or American. Companies are also moving here due to friendly tax environment.
A shuttle system TYS to BNA would be full both with flyers originating from Knoxville and those visiting Knoxville.
Hello-
It appears you're not alone! This customer-to-customer message board has been getting requests for Southwest to serve TYS Tyson Airport in Knoxville. I can only speculate that limitations at the TYS may be the main obstacle.
Not sure what kinds of public inter-city ground transportation options are out there in the Volunteer State in between Knoxville and Nashville or what public ground transportation options are available for TYS. LA for example has numerous Amtrak trains, regional trains (Metrolink), and inter-city bus routes (Greyhound) that serve Los Angeles Union Station; the nonstop Flyaway express bus service feeds these passengers from the train depot to each terminal at LAX. Maybe this might be the best option for TYS until the limitations are addressed.
It's possible that Southwest may be able to partner up or contract with a ground carrier or shuttle service as American Airlines is currently doing this (looks like the bus service is contracted through the Landline airport shuttle company)--worth checking.
I would forward your request in an e-mail or Twitter/X DM to Southwest Customer Service:

the next week (or 2 I forget) they did the companion pass deal for Aug/September
maybe they will do something similar with promo code then next week do the 2nd big sale of the year
SoCalFlyer97 agrees and I think there will be more to come! As you saw on my Photo Reports throughout the summer, the one sale I used from last June's 2023 Wanna Get Away Day sale was the 40%-off sale that began on the Thursday of the sale week. Booked three of my trips under the sale.
To be fair, there's a few people who I work with who fly out for business for an entire week and need to rent a car for the entire trip; I think this deal may actually be good for them.

hello and thank you! Everyone's feedback is so appreciated. Flights and stay are all in 2024. The stay was indeed booked with a Southwest Visa, however the stay is in 2024. I ensured to book with the Point Plus Properties which indicated it earned me points. Because all activity will take place in 2024, what I really hoping for that all the points are towards the companion pass for 2024. Am I at the right track?
Yes! The Points Plus "bonus" will post in 2024 provided you fulfill your stay in 2024. Date of booking doesn't matter. As mentioned on the Southwest Hotels site during booking, Guest Information must match the name associated with the Rapid Rewards account number used to qualify.
Since you paid with a Southwest Chase Credit Card, keep in mind that the additional "X Points for each $X spent" earned via any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Cards also count toward Companion Pass but these points will post at the end of the billing cycle:
https://www.southwest.com/rapidrewards/tiers-more-companion-pass
In this case, you'll be getting two sets of 'bonus' points...First, the larger Points Plus 'bonus' will without question post in 2024 after the stay and count toward a 2024 CP provided that you fulfill the stay. That's will be locked in stone.
Since Plus Points properties are prepaid and you've paid for it via your Southwest Credit card, the "X Points for each $X spent" 'bonus' portion will post at the end of the billing cycle...2023.
E.g. Suppose today that I book a hotel room via Southwest Hotels and paid $115 total for a Plus Points property for 2024 on a Southwest Credit Card. The Plus Points 'bonus' was 2,000 points; my credit card terms offered 2 points for every $1 spent on Southwest Hotels partners. The CP-qualifying points post dates would be:
2,000 Points (Plus Points) - 2024 a few days after the stay...good toward 2024 CP.
230 Points ($115 x 2points via Credit Card) - 2023 at the close of the Billing Cycle if booked today. Not valid toward 2024 CP but the points themselves never expire--Still well worth it!
Note that if the hotel you're booking has a separate resort fee that is charged at check-in and you use your Southwest Credit Card to pay this fee at the front desk, the points for that transaction will post for 2024.
Hope this helps! 🙂

Gift cards are activated once the buyer scans the card at the self-checkout cash register and finishes the transaction. If you're getting the card from a wholesale club like Costco where there are cardboard card "tickets" of such products, you can also use self-check out, pay for the gift card there, and then take the receipt and ticket to the merchandise pick up area where the clerk will activate the physical card.
For large denomination gift cards (e.g. $500) that I don't get from Costco, I would use a regular checkout lane so that the clerk verifies the transaction is all good, or use the self-checkout but have the self-checkout attendant clerk verify the transaction. I would also use the regular checkout lane for large gift cards purchased at the drug store like CVS whenever the self checkout area is not staffed.

That is great news to hear (see / read!!) I saw your screenshot and you are absolutely correct. , it reflects it there very clearly.. Are points posted after actual check in and check out of stay? the reason I ask is because of timing since starting to build CP beginning of next year and the stay is next year.
I'm concerned if booking hotel to reserve spot (but stay will be for next year) and it will go towards CP, those points would be zeroed out ? I'm really hoping the points get delivered when check in and check out is done. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me and share your experience 🙂 thank you so much and please when you can let me know about the delivery of points (if when booked /reservation is done in 2023 or when the check in and check out of hotel stay has been completed). And yes, for sure I will do with Free Cancellation and thru the Southwest Hotels while being logged into my account. Again thank you!!
After checkout.
Thus, if you book your hotel now and fulfill your stay in 2024, CP points will go toward 2024.
Similar to Rapid Reward Points earned via flights, Southwest Hotel and Rocket Miles points are posted after the stay, not at the time of booking.
By the way, I assume you booked a Points Plus property--the ones highlighted in blue, have the biggest points offers, and are pre-paid at booking.
E.g.:
For these, the points usually post within a few days after check out.
p.s. I cannot complain about the Southwest Hotels booking portal! I had to book a 1-night hotel stay near Mission Bay San Diego for a Friday night next month where weekend rates in that area are expensive with all the tourism! Through the portal, I found a decent Points Plus hotel about 10 minutes away from the bay in the Kearny Mesa business district for $102 ($115 after taxes) and 2,000 points w/ free cancellation. Factor in the Rewards point value, my total cost to stay near San Diego Mission Bay on a Friday added up to about $85.

Hi there!
I applied for a Southwest card this summer during their 60,000 points and 30% off promo. I spent the required $3,000.00 within the first three months. I see on my statement that I have the 60,000 points and the promo is reflected on my southwest account. However, I do have have the points or the actual promo code on my southwest account yet. Any idea of when these will show up? Thanks!
It looks like Chase currently has an 80k points offer for a SW Rewards Performance Business Credit Card if $5k is spent within the first three months. I found a Google Ad for it while I was trying to locate some definitive information on your question.
https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/southwest/AEMBiz823
Here's something from the offer details which I believe mirrors the timing of when the 60k points due to you will show to your Rapid Rewards account:
80,000 Bonus Points After You Spend $5,000 On Purchases In The First 3 Months From Account Opening: This new Cardmember bonus offer is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of this business credit card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of this business credit card who received a new Cardmember bonus for this business credit card within the last 24 months. To qualify for your bonus points, you must make Purchases totaling $5,000 or more during the first 3 months from account opening. Please allow up to 8 weeks for bonus points to post to your Rapid Rewards® account. (“Purchases” do not include balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable.) To be eligible for this bonus offer, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment.
My prediction: I would wait it out for a little longer (until you get the points sent to your Rapid Rewards account or until at least eight weeks after the three month mark). I assume the timing would be similar for the promo code delivery. After that point, I would ask the bank for a follow up status.

Hello-
From my experience, Rapid Rewards points earned from Southwest Hotels counts towards Companion Pass (CP) (note that I always book a Points Plus property w/ Free Cancellation as the point payout is generous and gets delivered within a week of the stay). Same with hotels booked via Rocket Miles.

Hello everybody!
I had an opportunity to take my first flight as A-List earlier this month between SAN and LAS which included some incredible beauty, taking care of some of business, and having the privilege of having not one but two TSA screenings for the outbound leg at SAN. Thank goodness for Global Entry! Below is the photo report and what led up to the double passage through the metal detectors.
This A-Lister got solid Priority Boarding positions for both legs: A36 inbound, A32 out. There were about a couple dozen A-Listers booked. Flight 555 was on time and ready to depart at 8:30a nonstop to LAS via a 737-MAX8 at the most lucky of SAN's Gates...13.
I noticed an 8:35a Flight 1020 departure to LAS on the screen which really befuddled me for a moment as it appeared that two scheduled flights were only spaced apart by 5 minutes...That was before I realized that SAN displays all destinations for through flights with multiple stops. Flight 1020 had a marathon journey that started at 6:30am at SJC, stopped at SAN, was due to depart at 8:35am, and was to continue on to ABQ, AUS, DAL, and then back to OAK, and finally to LAS at 9:05pm...
I did my usual things upon arrival. Didn't need to stop at the ticket counter because I was carry-on only. Emptied the water bottle, went through TSA, refilled the water at the fountain airside, and headed to the gate. Boarding's about 12 minutes away at lucky Gate 13...
...and then about 10 minutes before boarding was due to start, at about 7:50am, lucky riches strike! This happened:
My flight was changed to Gate 5. Okay...Gate Change; simple enough...except for one tiny little problem.
Those who frequent SAN airport know that Southwest serves Terminal 1, an older generation facility with two separate concourses that are not interconnected airside. The westside concourse housed Gate 13 as well as Gates 11-18; the eastside has Gates 5-10. Gate 5 was at the east.
After confirming the gate change with the Gate 13 CSA with just under 10 minutes prior to board time, the CSA announced that everybody waiting at Gate 13 to board Flight 555 needed to transition to the east concourse to get to Gate 5. That meant returning to landside for a second trip through TSA...
Thankfully Global Entry w/ PreCheck saved me from most of the hassles and inconveniences of the rescreening. I emptied the water bottle at the bathrooms just outside TSA, went through the PreCheck Lane again, refilled at the fountain, and got to Gate 5 exactly at board time.
Unfortunately, that was not the case for many of my fellow passengers; they had to go through the standard screening line, some had even brought drinks and beverages airside only to discard them. I politely advised Southwest Customer Service in an email about that inconvenience; they responded and had the matter escalated. However to be fair, boarding was held until everybody was re-cleared. TSA staff was on it and got us through. They got all the passengers and the crew through the checkpoint all within about 15 minutes. As mentioned, there about 25 A-Listers which meant they knew the in's and out's of TSA screening and were able to get through via the Priority Express Lane if they didn't have PreCheck.
Made it to east concourse airside...and then, flight got bumped one more gate to the left from Gate 5 to Gate 6.
And there's our bird: Look's like there was an aircraft swap to a 737-800.
Since the eastern concourse offers window views of the construction of New Terminal 1, here's some progress pics:
Looks like crews were building the temporary wall that will separate the Phase 1 build now under construction with the Phase 2 expansion which will be built later in place of the current Terminal 1.
And yes, the New Terminal 1 will have one continuous airside concourse! For the record, once crews build out Phase 2, Terminal 1 passengers will even be able to access Terminal 2 airside for the first time in SAN's history!
Boarding began shortly after 8:15am. Thankfully, the plane was only delayed about 15 minutes by the time we left the gate. By then the captain got on the mic and explained what caused the cross-concourse gate change: The 737-MAX8 plane assigned for a separate Flight 3767 that was to depart a short while later from SAN to HNL broke down. Southwest Hawaii flights use the MAX8 fleet. They moved the HNL flight to Gate 13 with the working 737-MAX8; the HNL bound passengers also had to transition back to landside. That's why the LAS flight was swapped to a 737-800 plane.
Pushed back and on our way...
Nice cool marine layer over Mission Bay:
Remy's Grahams comes along!
Light monsoons make a return too.
A quiet "lounge" for the A-List...Not really. It's seven empty gates at the LAS Gate A17-A23 Concourse. Got some work done before my appointment.
The public transit CX "limo" into town courtesy of RTC.
Took care of my business.
Before heading back to LAS, stopped at the Mirage Hotel volcano attraction before it will be gone...
Hard Rock hotel has big plans to replace this area with a guitar-shaped hotel tower.
Heading back...and plane spotting from an RTC bus station while waiting for Bus 109 to shuttle me back to LAS:
Return 4:30p flight ready to depart on time.
No gate changes this time...in fact, those who frequent LAS know that airside connectors link every concourse of both terminals! One can tour the entire airside area.
Two WN birds cleared for departure!
Did I miss this "Lucky Casino" located somewhere beneath these monsoons? Should have stopped there before heading back to LAS. Must be a pot of gold there!
But watching this golden sunset against the San Diego skyline during final decent was worth much more.
Safe travels! SoCalFlyer97

Financial, or tech? 12 dollars to Southwest better then 0, unless the more people makes more jet fuel?
It's basic supply and demand...
I think selling off the unsold seats at $12 would gravely undercut market airfare pricing and would also lead to a growth of excessive demand of people waiting until the last minute to book their flights--something that would seriously distort basic supply/demand economics and current pricing structures in the airline industry. Also, if the airline ever adopted this, we can all kiss many of our key passenger benefits goodbye (like Same Day Standby and Same Day Flight Change as every flight would be fully booked with no room left for Standby)--serious "no no's" in my opinion.
Imagine a fast food chain restaurant deciding to sell off unsold prepared food and word of it got out. Many people would no longer go to the restaurant during the dinner rush hour, but would wait 'til closing in a mad-dash attempt to grab the leftovers.
The one exception that appears to be working well for Southwest is the airline selling off the unsold A1-A15 Business Select Boarding Positions on the day of travel under Upgraded Boarding. I'm sure lots of thought and analytics went into the current pricing structure and policy to not undercut the value of Business Select fares.

I had another reservation for later in the day I intended to cancel upon learning my early flight was indeed taking off.
@Zec55
I assume you had a second reservation booked for later in the day according to this statement. Is this correct and was this for the same two city pairs in the same direction? If so, I think this would be a "double booking" that Southwest doesn't allow.
Don't forget that going forward, all Business Select Fares support Same Day Flight Change if the origin and destination pairs remain the same. Also, as A-List, you have access to Same Day Flight Change for any fare class including WGA. If there's room on a different flight on the day of travel, you should be able to rebook it on the day of travel without paying a difference of fare.
A-List/A-List Preferred members also have second priority for Same Day Standby List too (only behind those on Standby List due to flight disruptions and ahead of everybody else).

When you book a hotel though southwest your not actually dealing with Southwest but instead a third party so calling southwest won’t help you would need to call southwest hotels (which is run by booking.com)
@Virgincraft Try the following Southwest Hotels contact if there was an error in your booking:
concierge@southwesthotels.com 1-844-782-9792 773-770-4953
Travel Tip: Did you book the room more than 48 hours prior to the stay? If so, there should be some room options on the bookings result list that support free cancellation; I always select one of the "Free Cancellations" options even if it costs a few dollars more in case plans change, I book in error, or if I find a better deal. I also shop hotel rooms via Rocket Miles as they too use Bookings.com and have Rapid Reward bonus perks.
