It's probably worth pointing out that, contrary to common misconception, there is no such thing as "necessary documentation" for a trained service animal. If your disability isn't obviously visible, do be prepared to answer fact-finding questions the gate agents will ask in order to verify that you have a trained assistance animal. Also, it's recommended that you let Southwest know in advance that you will be traveling with your assistance animal. All the details are available at the link I posted above. Good luck!

However, when I select this option, it doesn't show any room details. I cannot see whether I'm booking a room with two full beds, one queen, one king, etc. And of course these rooms are nonrefundable and cannot be changed after reserving so there's no way to continue onto the next screen without getting stuck with the purchase prior to knowing what you're booking. All you can see is that it's a "standard" room for two people. If you choose to "see more rooms" you can then see all the room details but none of those rooms offer the increased points plus options. Specifically, I was looking at booking Comfort Suites Perrysburg, OH and they're offering 2,000 and 4,000 points but there are no room details. How can you see the room details for a points plus room? That's not a brand I'm as familiar with, but perhaps you can call the hotel directly and ask them what the alternatives would be if you booked in this manner.

Southwest does not have any counters in the International Terminal, so yes should should start a journey at the main terminal for Southwest if you are checking luggage. .Several websites out there are outdated that say any international travel should start at the international terminal, these haven't been updated to include Southwest's service that leaves from C concourse just like all other Southwest flights. On the second question - it would be the same plane train that connects all of the A-F concourses if you are on the airside, but there is also a shuttle from the entrance to domestic terminal that runs on the landside of security. I haven't flown international through ATL so I wasn't clear that you didn't end up in C concourse anyway, even returning from an international destination.

In a multiple passenger reservation, if passengers have their RR account number associated with a reservation then they can log into the app on their own device and see their own boarding pass. There are some circumstances that this functionality isn't allowed, but that's the general way it works. Within the Southwest app you would not be able to see multiple passengers' boarding passes on your single device. The workaround is to log into your account on the app, load the boarding pass, take a screenshot, then log out and log into the other account, load the boarding pass, take a screenshot. That would give you both boarding passes. Yes, a bit of a hassle. --TheMiddleSeat

If you saved your KTN number to your profile it should automatically populate to all reservations when you are logged in. I have noticed on the occasions I have booked over the phone it hasn't populated my middle name so my Pre check didn't show up on my boarding pass even though my middle name is saved on my profile so be sure to just double check if you book on the phone that your name matches exactly how it is on your KTN number. Hope this helps Blake

Regarding the credit, yes, you should be able to cancel the original reservation which will result in a refund of the points and taxes, then rebook the flight at the lower price. My experience with cancelling points reservations is the taxes are refunded back to the method of payment. The points will refund immediately so you can rebook immediately. The refund of the taxes may take a day or two to post so as long as you don't mind that you should be good to go. Keep in mind, if you purchased EarlyBird Check-In and cancel you will forfeit that purchase. You may have the same luck getting a refund of the difference in taxes if you do a change flight and rebook the same flight, but I don't have personal experience with that option. Doing a change flight process would keep EarlyBird on the reservation. --TheMiddleSeat

This morning I arrive there handed the rep my license and global entry card as I normally do. I informed her that I needed a boarding pass to show my TSA. She didn’t even look at my TSA card and mediately told me that she’s sees my TSA in the system. She proceeds to tell me that if I have an issue with TSA not showing on my boarding pass I need to take that up with TSA and not her. I kindly explained that sometimes my iPhone Wallet App doesn’t show the TSA and I always come to the desk to get the TSA printed on the boarding pass as the TSA agents have instructed me to do in all occasions this has happened to me. My issue is I’ve never had a problem getting TSA added and I’ve not dealt with a rep from Southwest so rude and unwilling to help. I’m a very dissatisfied customer and would like this situation rectified. If TSA PreCheck is showing on the app can you use that instead of the wallet? And/or if you don't want to keep the app open, take a screen capture and use the photo to scan through the security checkpoint. But agree that it should work as intended - maybe another mobile question for @GloriaL to see if there is a known fix.

Yes, both travelers could actually purchase EarlyBird if they aren't A-List. The companion's reservation is made separately from the Companion Pass holder's.... Book pass holder's travel, then in pass holder's list of upcoming flights they will see the option to add a companion for each of their reservations. Add EarlyBird to either reservation during the booking process or afterwards. --TheMiddleSeat

Thanks for that info because as I am reading this 2016 thread my thoughts are two things: 1) I have done mobile boarding passes for multiple passengers before (honestly less that 2 months ago) and it worked fine so why not now 2) It is literally now 2018 two years after this issue was first presented and Southwest has obviously not made much effort to correct this. Multiple passenger mobile boarding passes are not a “exception” they are a huge inconvenience and massive limitation on sw’s part when other airlines have no problem. I love Southwest and fly with them for multiple reasons but this is enough of an inconvenience for myself and my spouse that it makes us want to reconsider! The benefits to sw are largely in part to their baggage policies and service reputation that makes them very popular but truthfully we do not need that as we rarely if ever have to check bags plus this issue and the way it has been handled kind of throws the latter benefit right out the window. Please Southwest keep the business and fix this issue.

TSA has really reduced the number of people that "randomly" get selected for Pre-Check and there is no automatic inclusion in Pre-Check after a certain age so if you want it, you'll need to apply for it. As @dfwskier points out, there are different screening processes available to people 75+, these are sometimes referred to as "Pre-Check lite", but actual Pre-Check is almost always a much better experience. Here's the link to get more info about applying for Pre-Check: https://www.tsa.gov/precheck --TheMiddleSeat

You don't have multiple passes, you've just extended the expiration date of your Companion Pass. A Companion Pass holder can designate one person as their companion. You can change your companion up to 3 times in a calendar year, but when you make a change, any reservations the previous companion had are canceled. --TheMiddleSeat

Many of the all inclusive resorts in touristy areas of Mexico are fairly inexpensive per night if you factor in the typical cost of hotel, food, and drinks. It just depends what you would like to do on your vacation and how fancy of a place you are looking for. Depending where you are departing from, many Southwest flights to Mexico and the Caribbean are fairly short and may not require a layover. Look at non stop options on the Southwest route map (https://www.southwest.com/travel_center/routemap_dyn.html) or shortest flight options so that you don't spend all day on a plane instead of the beach. Sadly, RR points can only be used for the flights, not the hotels. You can earn points on some hotels booked through southwest.com though. Congratulations! --TheMiddleSeat

I've included some info in red after each of your questions, hopefully it helps. Reply if you have additional questions, and good luck on earning CP. @tparrent wrote: I currently have almost 94,000 RR points this year and they all show up as Companion Pass qualifying points.I would like to receive the Companion Pass status but some of the rules confuse me and I am finding it difficult to calculate exactly what I need by year end. I have a Southwest credit card that I use very frequently. I read that there is a limit of 15,000 qualifying points in a year from the card but I have not found any information on how to look up information on where I am relative to that limit (I assume I am over it) The 15,000 point limit is related to A-List qualifying points, not CP. There is no cap on CP qualifying points. Spend $1, get 1 CP qualifying RR point. I still have at least 9 one way flights booked this year but cannot tell how many qualifying points they will generate. The amount of RR points earned from flying depends on what ticket type you booked. Wanna Get Away = 6x fare Anytime = 10x fare Business Select = 12x fare You may want to upgrade your remaining flights to Business Select to earn more CP qualifying points. I am one flight away from A List qualification. Will subsequent flights that are already booked receive the A List extra points? Do those extra points count towards Companion Pass qualification? Yes, you should get the extra bonus points for being A-List, but they do not count towards CP. Would buying Southwest gift cards move me closer to qualification? What if I am already above the credit card annual 15,000 point limit? I fly Southwest nearly every week so I would certainly use the gift cards next year. There's nothing special when it comes to earning points about buying Southwest gift cards. Each dollar spent on a Southwest credit card is a Companion Pass qualifying point. Buy gift cards or groceries or gas or anything else you want. If I upgrade some of my Wanna Get Away fares that I have already booked through year end, will I get additional credit towards Companion Pass? Yes, as noted earlier. I seem to recall that any charges to my Southwest card will only count as of the billing cycle posting date which will be in early December. Subsequent purchases will not then count towards qualification, right? (Assuming I have room under the annual cap) Points earned from credit card spend post shortly after your statement closes so the statement that closes in December will be the last points that post for 2018. I've heard some people say you can call to adjust your statement closing date, but I don't have any experience with that. Dont' spend on December 30 and think you'll get those points credited towards 2018 CP qualification. And again, there is no CP annual cap. As qualifying for Companion Pass is going to be a close call (but very valuable for me), I want to make sure I take whatever action I need in time for it to matter. It would even be worth it for me to take a couple extra flights to wherever if that put me over the top but I would want to make sure that those flights did put me over. With a little time left you can still find some other creative options such as utilizing the Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping portal, https://rapidrewardsshopping.southwest.com/ Most, but not all points earned through the shopping site qualify for CP. Beware of "bonus" points, they typically do not qualify. Sending flowers to someone is a popular earning method. You could also book and complete a hotel stay via the Southwest hotels link. Some hotels offer several thousand points per night and those do count towards CP. You must complete the stay this year, not just book it. If you're down to the last 2 weeks of December and still short then it's probably time to hop on a plane and do some mileage runs. Thanks for answers and suggestions! Good luck! --TheMiddleSeat

If that were to occur, you or the passenger with the cat would move to another seat. That would be helpful if Southwest will begin allowing pets/animals to fly in the cargo. People do have dogs that do not fit under ther seat.
