LGB is not the only airport that sw uses both doors to board/deplane I think there are a couple more in CA that do that.
i think let the group go and once it dies down then start the next group kind of like a regular jet bridge when it’s full they stop scanning maybe scan the A group and as it’s getting to the last few then start the family and B group but allow them to go from either door but B30 in front of 10 shouldn’t make that much of a difference

are the travel funds in your daughters name or your name?
if they are in your name only you can use the funds they can’t be used on someone else meaning only valid for your ticket
to avoid the UM fee I would book both of you on the same reservation as it sounds like you were trying to book separately

getting through TSA will be easy compared to renting a car so hopefully you have a plan B for that should your travel include a rental car.
traveling without ID just arrive early to the airport for the extra screening.

does the name on the reservation match the name on the account say did you get married and put your old last name? If so that will probably cause an issue
you can reach out to southwest though the contact us link at the bottom of this page or social media and they should be able to help.

I have the exact same issue from Orlando to Miami! There are zero nonstops and all the connections leave Florida only to go back! I get that a lot of FL particularly MIA is AA territory but still - at least ONE nonstop/day would be nice.

I’m surprised they haven’t done a MCO/MIA non stop would compete against American, which they do in a lot of other markets like Dallas to Austin (just DFW vs DAL) and they actually just increased the daily flights on DFW/AUS to compete against SW.

If you are traveling with a child age seven to 13 years old:
If you need and request assistance, Southwest will endeavor to seat a child next to one accompanying passenger (14 and older) to the maximum extent practicable and at no additional cost.
Families can speak to Gate Agents or Flight Attendants to request assistance.
This wording just changed on the family boarding process recently read more Here

I would make the change as close to midnight as you can to help your boarding position and help prevent the flight you really want from selling out before you go to make the change. You can make the change online shouldn’t need to call unless your reservation has a restriction on it.

Yes, a nice job indeed!
I guess I have to ask, if you are going to be on a flight and don't want to be touched, why are you on the flight?
Perhaps a private flight next time?
Or just go on an airline that lets you buy 2 seats
I think on SW only COS can buy 2 seats which is still weird to me because if someone wants to pay why not take the money
to the OP glad the crew was able to help

For your protection I would remove your RR number since this is a public forum
now with reaching out to SW I would try Twitter and if you want the phone call just tell them that nicely and hopefully in the next couple weeks they can call to discuss. Unfortunately they are still working though cases from the December madness (I’m sure one user will probably come on here and call it the holiday disaster when it has nothing to do with your case)
you could also email and request a phone call but again that’s another case number to complicate things.

If you can’t go on a flight without a drink you probably should drive. Nowhere is it stated they must serve you a drink other than on tarmac delays over a couple hours. You can bring your own non alcoholic beverage with you on the plane and drink it
I am A List preferred (A+ is not a thing) I have been on several flights without beverage service I survived and so did the other 100+ other passengers. Safety is always first the pilots communicate with ATC and sometimes ATC gets reports of turbulence and you may be on that same route so they use safety as a reason to hold on service sure that turbulence could have improved but again it’s a lot easier to be seated than up and serving when that rough patch comes and the FA possibly falls on you then you want to sue. Seems the airline would never be right here. If they started to serve turbulence starts then they can’t secure the cabin for landing it creates issues or better yet if row 1 gets a drink but your in row 6 and they can’t get you one because of the bumps you would be upset because someone got something you didn’t.
You can share your feedback with Southwest directly but again safety will always come over your drink.

So I was on a flight that was 200mi they didn’t serve drinks (no water, soda, alcohol) and no snacks the website says drinks will be served on flights over 176 miles should I get a refund for my flight because that cost is built in to my ticket? They said it would be turbulence the biggest bump was the landing.

I have never heard of a person being able to go to the gate agent to reserve the exit row. I have seen people get on a plane and save seats for people boarding later but some FAs allow it others don’t in the exit row I’ve seen both sides because you could be saving it for someone and if they are under 15 they can’t sit in the exit row then could be a problem if they are the last to board and the flight was full.
With saving seats I don’t see a problem with the row your in but rows I frown on but I don’t care to fight it so I just move on

i will say my flight for today lost its RR number so I checked in to the C group because I didn’t notice till after check in time.

Does it show with your old date? Like if you changed from May 30th to June 1st does it still show as May 30th on the app/website if so when you click on the reservation it will show you the updated reservation
since you can find it using look up reservation does it still show your RR number under your name? If so the app is probably just running slow with the flight updates you made. The app is usually slow this time of night because they do updates/app maintenance around midnight central

Does the app allow you to change the reservation? Maybe try changing the flight to the same flight (sounds weird I know) if it says $0 to see if it lets you.

Sorry I’m late to the party here
I have had this issue tons of times with the Covid changes and I found the easiest solution is to rebook the flight completely because that evil message stays awhile and you don’t want the price to go up waiting on the message to hopefully go away (it looks like the message changed with this round of schedule changes so not sure how long it will stay)
I had a flight changed almost 2 weeks ago as well the price went down since I have enough points I just booked it again then cancelled the original reservation this ensures I don’t get stuck in to a higher price if it goes up during rebooking.
sometimes the change is just a flight number and I ask why did they waste the schedule change waiver on that but oh well
you could also call but I find doing it myself easier one time I did call and the agent didn’t know how to get rid of the message

You could always look for a good deal on your day off just to get ahead of the holiday rush and pricing. Every once in awhile a nice sale comes out I think the best ones come in June and October maybe find a day off and fly RT in a day or if you don’t want to spend an extra day in the airport try a point to point booking so if your going from DAL to MCO try DAL MSY MCO booked as 2 one ways
i think a lot of people do earn off of the credit card or the opening account bonus now what percentage of CP holders are flights vs CC spend I have no idea but would definitely be interested to know if that is ever released.
