@SWFlyer007 wrote: I got a flight change tonight too but checked my flight online and it's still the same. Maybe the system just hasn't made the change yet, or something is going on? Or maybe yet, it won't happen until the 3 days are up for me to make a different arrangement. I Will check again tomorrow. Sometimes the change can be something so small you don't notice it for example flight number changed but same flight time or just a minor time change like 5-15min earlier/later. Usually when that "your flight has changed" email comes its already updated on the app/website.

I think Southwest's flight change system might be broken because yes I have had several reservations changed without contact and one change that just happened tonight changed me from MCO-BNA-SAT TO BNA-SAT like what happened to leaving from Orlando. One other reservation was canceled when other flight options are available so I'll have to call to get it sorted out which is probably the best thing for you to do as well and yes I would check up on the flights once a week in case other changes were to occur so you don't get stranded with no flight.

I would book a new flight using as much of the funds as you can like try to find a flight for about $611 book it then immediately cancel it because if you cancel a flight before September 7th it will extend your funds until September 7th 2022 also it will combine the travel funds on to one confirmation number making it easier to use. Keep in mind the travel funds can only be used by the name that's on them they are not transferable. -Blake

@SWFlyer007 wrote: I've started seeing more and more posts in regard to people carrying firearms on flights. I'm really not sure what to think about this at this moment. I guess I was under the impression that firearms had to be in checked baggage, or am I reading all these wrong. I'm sorry, I don't think any type of firearm would/should be in the actual plane. Firearms are not allowed to be carried on flights (unless your an air marshal) they must be checked and TSA has specific rules that must be followed which you can learn more about on the TSA website just use the can I bring feature and it will give you all the current information.

Yeah at this point it will be a wait and see how the conversation works once the feature is released hopefully we get full points credit for the travel funds without some kind of deduction because we make the funds points.

While I haven't flown BWI LAS lately I did do SAN- MCO (about a 5 hour flight) back in mid june and the boarding was good. onboard just a can of water and a small package of snack mix I definitely recommend eating before getting to the airport or bring snacks with you as many places in the airport are still closed or limited hours with limited menus. Deplaning was a bit of a mess with everyone trying to rush off the plane but inflight everyone in my view wore masks without any incidents however i know that's not the case on every flight. The airport was quiet and easy to find a seat at the gate for a change. Inflight open middle seats are nice as well. -Blake

Most websites that you join will ask for your birthday to make sure your of age to use that site. To me providing by birthday is the least of my worries when joining a website. I'd be more concerned if they wanted my credit card number to join a free site. Anyways with the converting travel funds to points that feature is still being worked on and should be available soon. I am guessing an email will go out once the feature is up and running so stay tuned. -Blake

Sorry to hear you are disappointed in the policy that you agreed to when you bought the ticket. If you buy a wanna get away fare that ticket is nonrefundable and non transferable. What this means is if you need to cancel you will get a travel fund for the passenger who was originally booked to travel and only that person is able to use those funds. This policy is the same at every other airline that I am aware of right now and no airline is giving a cash/credit card refund on a non refundable ticket only travel funds On another note Coming soon southwest will have a feature where you can turn in your travel fund in to rapid rewards points which you could then use to buy a ticket for anyone. This is far more generous than other airlines who say fully non transferable. I'm not sure when this will be available but hopefully in the next few weeks. Keep in mind the passenger with travel funds would need a rapid rewards account for this option. If you would like to share your feedback with Southwest directly you can do so though one of these methods Contact Customer Relations - Blake

Travel funds are only useable by the passengers name who is on them the funds are not transferable. Soon southwest will have a new way for you to transfer travel funds in to rapid rewards points which your family member can do once the feature is available then those points can be used to buy a flight for anyone. That family member would need to have a rapid rewards account for the points to go in to and currently there is no official date on when this option will be available. -Blake

Sorry to hear of your experience with a under the table kind of transaction. I would Contact Customer Relations so they can look in to this and at the very least try and get you a receipt for the case they made you buy. Also one thing to keep in mind is policies can be changed by Southwest or TSA at anytime without notice. In this case I'm not sure about a policy change but it is one thing to keep in mind. -Blake

Sorry to hear your items were missing when you arrived. Did you fill out a report at the airport within 4 hours of noticing the items were missing from the checked bag or file the report on Southwest.com? Also did you file a report with TSA? TSA may have searched your bag and taken the items. -Blake

You just file the report with Southwest and they will start the search process. The email saying they will look if you pay sounds like a scam. I know that you may be responsible for shipping if the item is found but you won’t pay anything to look for your phone. -Blake

At this time Southwest hasn't announced any extensions for customers who earn A List or companion pass this year so as of now your companion pass would expire at the end of 2021 if you earn it this year. The extension applies to those who earned status in 2019. -Blake

If everyone is on the same confirmation number it would check all of you in. Keep in mind if there is a companion reservation that is a separate confirmation number which means a separate check in. When you look up your reservation on the app/website it would show you all the names on that confirmation number. Keep in mind some reservations are not eligible for online check in (group reservations of 10 or more people) -Blake

Does your e-pass heave a name on it? If so then only that person can use the e-Pass. I don't believe that the e-pass will qualify for the 2 year extension after booking then canceling because the e-Pass has no travel fund value. Does your e-pass have a phone number on it that you could call? If so I would call that department.
