You would need to call reservations to make this type of change because if a difference in fare would need to be collected the app chat feature won’t work for you since they can’t process payments and same with Facebook and Twitter. You can reach reservations at 800-435-9792 your other option is to cancel the MCO-STL return online and book a new one way from MCO-MDW this would save the phone call -Blake

In my experience prior to covid when the airport was going to give out vouchers it was done at the airport before you depart (they print them out and hand them to everyone on the affected flight) I’m not sure if that process changed but your best bet is to Contact Customer Relations and they can look in to your flight and hopefully get you the voucher that was promised at the gate. -Blake

I would search your email for the subject line of “Here’s your Southwest LUV Voucher” and this should pull it up if you happened to miss it in your email if using Gmail be sure to check your promotions folder and the spam/junk folders as emails sometimes go to the wrong place. if you still haven’t received it after checking the folders and trying that subject line in the search bar of your email then I would Contact Customer Relations again and make sure they have your email address right and ask them to resend. A friend of mine had a voucher resent last week and got it the next morning. I also just got a voucher last week and it went to my regular email folder so double checking couldn’t hurt. -Blake

Only small cats and dogs can travel onboard the plane in an approved carrier. Emotional support animals are no more on most airlines (if not all) in the United States thanks to people who abused that to bring animals like birds, turtles, peacocks on planes. Southwest now only allows trained dogs and miniature horses to travel as service animals to help with certain tasks (dog for sight impaired as one example) -Blake

I've never seen an alert to check in only an alert telling my my position is A34 for flight 123 and I think the only reason I get that alert is because I'm A List and automatically checked in. One of my friends (who's not A List) flew today and the 2 alerts they got were 1 saying the airport will be busy to arrive early and the 2nd saying now boarding flight 123 I do think a it's time to check in push notification or your flight is delayed notification would be nice though because not everyone stares at the app all day to see if a delay occurred. Best bet is to submit your feedback to Southwest directly though. -Blake

These schedule changes are done by a computer well as we know computers aren't perfect so now the human is having to fix the computers errors. When this happens southwest will do your schedule change manually. This may take a few weeks but they will get you rebooked on a real flight. If you don't want to wait you can reach out to Southwest on Facebook or Twitter in a DM or you can use the chat feature on the southwest app. -Blake

How far in advance are you trying to add EB check in? You can only add it up to 36 hours before your flight. If your flight is within the next 36 hours you won't be able to add it to your flight if you have a return flight you can add it to that. Tickets are non transferable so you would need to cancel your sons friend and they would have travel funds they can use for up to a year from when you bought that ticket. Next you would go and by the other persons ticket at the current price. There is no way to swap the names on the ticket -Blake

Yes buying one ways can be helpful when it comes to using travel funds and cash I do this to avoid these situations as well. Sorry you have to lose so much time to use your funds After you funds expire you could request an extension and they can issue a voucher for the funds minus $100 you would need to Contact Customer Relations to request this and the voucher would be valid for 6 months. -Blake

In air travel delays happen on every airline. WiFi breaks on every airline. I was 2 days late on Delta thanks to a maintenance issue and I've also been 5 days late on Southwest thanks to a winter storm in Texas (not SW's fault) it's life. Now how each airline handled the delays made the difference that's why I stick with Southwest. As already mentioned you should contact customer relations as they are the department who handles past flight issues.
