Hello sorry to hear about your recent experience the best thing to do is to call customer relations and wait yes the hold times will be long but as long as you are in the que before the close they will answer your call even if it's after closing time the closing time is really a stop accepting calls time because otherwise they could be there until 10pm if that makes sense. What I tell people to do is call about 30min before leaving work as long as you get off before 6pm central and just have the phone on speaker while finishing up work so when your done with work the hold time won't be as long or if the hold time is short maybe they will get to you before your work is over and maybe you can take the call. I recommend calling as soon as customer relations opens I know that's early because your in mountain time but that's usually when I had best luck getting in touch with them. You could also call like 30min before your lunch break if the 30min before getting off work won't work so when you get to lunch they can get to you as long as the hold time isn't like 2 hours which usually it isn't but an hour hold time is not unusual. For sending an email you would go to the contact us link towards the bottom of the southwest homepage and it would be a form you can fill out which sends the email to customer relations the best way to fill that out is from a computer as it can be a pain to fill out on a mobile phone. I agree with @TheMiddleSeat I would get an escort pass for the 1st time and walk your kid though everything and avoid the headphones until the plane ride. I would recommend having your teen check the boards more than once just in case there is a gate change and you didn't hear the announcement or if there wasn't one that way they don't miss the flight on my first flight as a teen my mom got a gate pass we showed up 2.5 hours early just so I could see how to check in go though security (at that time I didn't need an ID since I was under 18) and showed me around the airport a bit so I would know where to go and my mom pulled up airport maps for my connecting city to show me where I may land and where I may have to walk to and told me to not stress and to pay attention in the airports as gates can change and you don't want to miss your flight because your busy playing a game or listening to music and I had plenty of time (3 hour layover) that way I should be fine in case of a delay which I was fine. Then my dad got a gate pass to meet me when I arrived at my final destination so he could show me baggage claim and what to do if my bag was messed up or didn't show up so I don't freak out should that ever happen when I got older. I enjoyed it and now I travel all the time. Sorry your bags didn't make it to your final destination because of a flight change (at least you didn't get stuck in an airport over night) I would highly recommend you call the local baggage service office tomorrow then they can check to see where the bag is as it could arrive on a flight in the AM and they can set up delivery or you could pick up the bag. Hello so first off southwest flies out of DAL love field instead of DFW (just I. Case that makes a difference) The best thing to do is sign up for the click n save emails that way you can know when a sale is on (usually happens on Tuesdays) and you can also check out the low fare calendar on southwest.com that way you can see a whole months worth of fares per person and find the price that works best for your budget. hope this helps Blake

From what I heard when my grandma died 2 years a go someone can transfer the points for $10 per 1,000 points (not sure if that cost is still the same). To cancel 1 person you will need to call southwest at 800-435-9792 and ask them to cancel the one person. That person will have a travel fund credit for a future flight unless it was a anytime or business select ticket then you could request a refund or keep as a travel fund for that person no one else will be able to use it except the passenger who was canceled and they have a year from original booking date to complete travel on a new flight. hope this helps Blake

@Sunkyu I actually did respond to your previous post Here is my reply on your previous post: Hello 2.5 hours to get from ohare to midway should be enough time if you are on time and didn't had to go through customs but since you will have to go through customs if coming from out of country 2.5 hours is very risky and may not be enough time especially since you will have to get a cab or shuttle to go from one airport to the other and you won't know if your 1st flight is delayed until day of. personally if I had to book a flight requiring an airport change I would allow at least 4 hours that way I can collect my bag if I checked one get a cab and allows for traffic then re check my bag at the new airport and go through security while allowing for a small flight delay. If you are needing a copy of your flight confirmation you can call southwest at 800-435-9792 and they can re send it. You should always arrive at the airport as if your flight is on time because there are times such as in your case where the flight goes back on time after a delay was announced. maybe they found another plane or a crew or the plane was fixed earlier than expected many different things could have happened which is why it's always best to show up as if your flight is on time especially in Orlando where they have extra crews or planes. glad you showed up on time and the flight didn't end up being delayed. When you buy Early Bird check in southwest will automatically check you in 36 hours before your flight after A List customers and you would be checked in based on when you bought Early Bird. you wont be able to obtain your boarding pass until 24 hours before your flight but you don't have to check in at the 24 hour mark since your pass is already reserved so you could wait to check in until you get to the airport if you wanted. hope this helps Blake

did you have multiple changes on the flight that you have the travel fund for? If so I know each change will make itself a separate fund for example you book a ticket for $150 the price drops to $120 you have one fund for $30 price drops again to $100 now you have a separate fund within the confirmation number for $20 and let's say one last change down to $90 so another fund for $10 so now you have 3 funds $30 $20 $10. With the new system you can only apply 2 funds plus a credit card so it would not take the $10 in this example. That also goes for if you have a voucher and 2 or more funds you can only use 2 funds if that makes sense. this is how it was told to me by a southwest rep back a few months back so if that changed then maybe it has to do with the expiration of the funds where one of the funds expires before you travel so it would not apply Blake

Hello unfortunately there is not a way to combine people on to one reservation the only way you could be on the same reservation is to re book with both of you and cancel the individual reservations of course that would be at the current rate which may be higher than what you paid If you don't want to re book and worry about checking in both of you at the same time you may want to buy Early Bird check in for one of you that way you can check in the other person who doesn't have EB and not have to worry about the person with Early Bird right away Hope this helps Blake
