@brendadrojas Sorry for the delayments, I was helping with my daughter remodeling the bathroom just to give a face lift. This has to change like every ten year to live with a better tones. We had the floor resilented and I liked the new floor! Ok, let's get back to the point that I was deeply concerned on why they won't hire me due to my disability - Hearing Impaired. So, I gave up applying for the company. I can't deal with hurt feelings. Don't let the other comments let you down.

@johnsonhuber wrote: I have a flight tomorrow at 11:30 and I'd like to take an earlier flight out. I have a Wanna Getaway fare, can I get on Standby for the earlier flight? Southwest doesn't really do standby in the traditional way (as other carriers do, for free or a small fee). To go standby on an earlier flight you'll need to: -- Be on an Anytime or Business Select fare -- If on WGA, pay to upgrade to the current full-fare -- Be an A-Lister -- Have your flight be showing a delay of more than 30 minutes (at discretion of agent) As suggested earlier, check to see if your flight is covered by the current travel advisory, which would allow one flight change for no extra charge. I've also found it worth checking to see if WGA fares are still available online, which would allow you to change your flight for significantly less than the gate upgrade cost. Hope this helps!

Just to add to what @dfwskier said you could also research the flight schedule online and look at pricing as the rate you will get by phone will be based off the current online rate this way you can get a cost idea in case it doesnt fit in to your budget. You will also want to review the group travel policies which can be found Here. Also as a side note I would recommend calling before the next schedule comes out or wait a week after the 7th of February (next schedule release date) as hold times could be longer. I had a 35min hold the day a schedule came out and 3min a week before the schedule release. Hope this helps! Blake

I have to admit I'm not going to lament my missing being in Chicago for -21 degrees Wednesday night, but that's far from my record of -46 in Gunnison, CO during a ski strip to Crested Butte.

Will it be clear how to get to Customs once in MEX? So appreciate your advice. Yes to all of these - make sure you have seen @chgoflyer's post about the dates of service to MEX though. I haven't been personally to MEX airport, but don't worry, there won't be any opportunity for you to not to make it directly to customs. My feedback from other international travel to Mexico though - try to use the restroom right before the seatbelt light gets turned on prior to landing so that you don't have to get out of the line to use the land-based one until after you are cleared. And don't bring any fruit with you from the plane.

I can find multiple instances of overnight layovers on Frontier flights out of BKG - Into Den at 8:12 pm and virtually all connections out after 6 the next morning. @AldersonLA sorry to hear your having trouble with applying the whole voucher to your reservation LUV vouchers do not cover taxes so that may be why it's only applying $77 but it would depend of ticket cost. You can apply both vouchers to the same reservation if you book together making 1 empty and the 2nd one with some left over money since it sounds like the tickets are about $100 each. LUV vouchers can be used by anyone so the left over part you could split on another flight if you wanted making another trip a little cheaper as well. hope this helps Blake

Can Gary fire the person that made the weather call? LOL. The forecast called for rain until late tonight and they cancelled flights. The forecast all week said rain and maybe a flurry. It's not raining and 40 degrees. No danger whatsoever.

Hello All, The same thing occurred for my Alist status. I had 4 round trip flights, which was double the promotion requirements, within the window. I did change the times on my business select flights but all were well within the window of the promotion. For some reason I still have not been able to get an answer as to why I was disqualified from the promotion. Seems like a scam scam to me. Terra

@mkinser wrote: I'm curious about WGA fares being completely sold out. I'm looking to book MKE-SJU round trip for 3/22 - 3/31. The WGA fares have been "sold out" for months. Every flight on 3/20 has WGA fares so I am assuming that SWA just has them locked out yet for the dates I am looking at. Quite possible - either they are expecting these to sell at the higher rate, or some high percentage of the plane has already been sold. @mkinser wrote: .... Can someone please tell me typically how far in advance SWA opens up these fares? No - the fare may be opened up, this could depend on expected demand for flights those days, fares already purchased, and competition with the other guys for these routes. We can say that often these fares may be opened back up but not any specific time, or if this particular route may not be opened back up. There is always the option to book now - which it sounds like would be a refundable fare, and then refund and rebook if you do catch a WGA availability.

Agreed, @TheMiddleSeat. It is a complete gamble based on so many conditions. I have had connections with the SAME airline that I was happy for an almost 3 hr layover, but I have also connect from another airlines over to SW (different terminal), and I could have literally made it in 45 mins or less. Be safe and go the 3hr route!

Thank you SO much! So, just to clarify, if my passport says "Kathryn Marie Wright", I would write as follows" Passport first name: Kathryn Marie Passport last name: Wright When I called Southwest two people told me to leave out the middle name (which confused me), and one person told me the same thing you just did! I'll definetely check on the lower prices as well!

The placeholder could also be a WGA fare, but then when you cancel it you get travel funds, whereas the points are returned to your account. If the companion flies often on their own maybe the travel funds would be fine as long as they have good opportunities to use them before they expire a year after purchase.

I agree with @PDFelter however if they are unable to help over the phone then I would watch the flight to see if it has a seat open up. if a seat doesn't open before your departure day then I would show up a little earlier on departure day to the airport and they should be able to help at the full service ticket counter since you have up until an hour before the flight to add the companion. Hope it works out easily! Blake

@pseverin They won't need any ID for domestic travel to get past TSA but if they have a school ID you could bring that just to have in case the Southwest agent asks for some form of ID when checking in but when I was under 18 they never asked me for ID so they should be good to go. usually I just a asked for my name and on occasion my age or gender by TSA. Also at security the kids can keep there shoes on since they are under 12 (making security easier for you all) Just a side note: since Southwest does boarding groups it might be worth it to buy Early Bird as you won't qualify for family boarding (especially if your on multiple confirmation numbers). that way you can board together as the boarding numbers would be near each other and you will be more likely to get seats together. hope this helps! Unfortunately, all planes do not have wifi anymore. That plateau was reached (and much touted) some time ago. Then a 2nd internet service provider was brought in, but then that basically fell apart, leaving some planes now without wifi at all, and some with the hardware installed but unable to actually use it (until it's replaced with new hardware from the old provider). It's kind of a mess, really. 😞 More info: Exclusive: Southwest Airlines and Panasonic Avionics part ways

I have found that sometimes cell phone settings don't play well with automated phone systems, especially if you are using wifi calling for "VoLTE" or Voice Over LTE that some carriers offer. I am not saying that there is no problem with the phone system; it just might be worth giving it a shot with another phone. Good luck! Land lines, too. Just yesterday I used a land line to call a company. Got the standard "hit 1 for english." I did, and the recording repeated. Hit 1 a second time, and the same thing happened. Hit 1 a third time, and the system disconnected me. Called back with the same phone, and the situation repeated. Called back from a different phone, and hitting 1 worked. Thats why I like the systems that say "press or say 1 for English" (or other option) noting more annoying than repeating an action to get no where

I have been flying with Southwest since its first year. First flight was from Love Field to San Antonio and back to visit a customer. Walking out the ramp I was handed a fifth of Wild Turkey by none other that Herb himself. Being a Scotch drinker I unfortunately gave it away. A few years later I was on a flight where he was helping the crew clean up the plane. An amazing man who created an amazing aairline. I wish him a great, beautifu and Blessed journey.

Do you mean the transbay tube retrofit? To my knowledge this will only affect people going from east bay to sf at 4am, and BART will resume service at 5am. During that early morning time frame there will be express buses that are scheduled at the same time that bart does https://www.bart.gov/about/projects/eqs/retrofit
