@rlink It’s amazing how people make the different, right? It is why I stick with Southwest! I am glad you were able to get your issue resolved with a helpful person, and I also echo the alternatives for taking action listed here as well.

Did SW specifically say that was the reason? I ask because regardless of how full, they still need to get the plane to where you were going for the next flight. And was this the same day?

Your best bet is to go to the source which is updated on an ongoing basis: Southwest Promise. This way you will always have the latest requirements.

Agree with @TheMiddleSeat. My assumption (pls confirm) is that if you use your roller, you could check it at the end of the jet bridge like a stroller. The other option would be to use crutches, like you said.

@destinalicia And even though they expired in this case, good for you for not missing out on points by setting up RR accounts for your kids! Happy flying!

Like these gents said, assuming you can get it through security, could you place it in some sort of tote or bag that would fit under the seat? I think that would be ideal. Here is the full detail about baggage from SW’s site.

Definitely a strange situation! In the past, there was no good tracking mechanism for travel funds, even for SW agents. So in a way, this doesn’t surprise me. I’ve sat on the phone before while we tried to track down my travel funds. Fortunately, each traveler can no see his or her travel funds in their Rapid Rewards account. Even though this was a weird situation, I’m glad they corrected it for you and solved the problem that “took” your funds. And even though you can track your funds in your account, as a best practice, I keep every booking or cancellation email for my own tracking purposes.

Here is the FAQ page that contains the Connect With Us link! Here are the details: Name change requests may be submitted via the Connect With Us page on Southwest.com, in writing by mail to Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, P.O. Box 36657, Dallas, Texas 75235, or by fax to 1-877-506-0154. Your written request must contain your current Member contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address if available), Rapid Rewards account number, along with photocopies of your legal documentation (ex. Old government-issued photo ID and new government-issued photo ID, marriage license, divorce decree, etc.) or any other information Southwest may request that reflects your new legal name. My wife did this a couple of years ago with no issue; just be sure to get the documentation right!

Sorry to hear about your experience. You get such a small number of points going the survey route that I don’t find the time invested worth the reward. But that is my opinion, and I can understand your frustration. At least they let you keep the points you had earned. I hope you’re able to use them to go somewhere fun!

If you booked it as a round trip, I am not aware of a way to go back and see that. A few thoughts/ your confirmation email will have the total points used, not separated by leg you can try and “book” again; if the price hasn’t changed, that will give you the j do you are looking for otherwise, I am confident that customer service or relations can give you the info you need; use a “Contact Us” option (below) to see what you can find. If you find a way we don’t know about, pls come back and let us know. Good luck!

Agree with @bec102896 here. No need to try and requalify for 2021. The caveat would be if you are also trying to get Companion Pass. In my situation, my A List Pref status is extended for all of 2021, so no need for action the rest of 2020. But my CP has been extended only partially through 2021, so I am still trying to requalify for that, although with my work travel being non-existent, I am not sure my effort is worth it.

Congrats on your expanding business! I get the nerves, but I think you will be a pro in no time. I highly recommend you travel with Southwest because they are so customer friendly (the LUV airline). Here are a few resources: Plan Your Trip Knowledge Base - Travel Policies Knowledge Base - Reservations Knowledge Base - In the Air If you are going to start traveling, don’t forget to sign up for Southwest’s Rapid Rewards program as well! Welcome to the SW family, and happy flying.

@Customer7 What a crazy world we live in today. COVID has really rocked the travel industry, and the airlines are doing what they can to ensure customers are safe. I appreciate SW’s approach, and it makes me feel safer to fly. That said, since this is primarily a customer community, I could recommend using one of the Contact Us options below to provide your feedback directly to Southwest. Thanks!

Sorry to hear of the changes. We are all experiencing it, and it’s a result of the tight environment COVID is creating. SW is trying its best to balance customer service with salvaging as much revenue as possible. Just like all the airlines are.

@jksobonya I know your comment about $45 BNA to PHO is several months old, but I just booked this route for that a couple days ago! Also, related to fares, I think cross country for $400 isn’t necessarily terrible. You could always book it and keep an eye on it, rebooking to for your money back in the form of travel funds.

@Missymoons5 @I am AList Pref w/ CP, so I get the struggle! And you are correct in that this doesn’t work for travel partners flying on a CP. I am hoping that SW will continue this enhancement soon to allow for what you are saying. Since we have CP, my wife and I are literally never on the same reservation. But we make it work; it is more than worth it for the CP perks!

Southwest has a policy that is among the strictest in the industry. There are no exceptions to the mask policy, which is widely posted online. See here. Southwest also has a health declaration process in place where customers must agree they are well and understand the requirements to fly at check in.
