Note that the seats in the 737-500 pic bracketed an exit door. So on this type of aircraft the configuration would have allowed easier access to the exit door than an all forward facing configuration would have.
As far as the earlier 737 versions with this type of seating at the front of the aircraft, there would gave been no such benefit.

I believe it depends a bit on the airport, but when I've tried to book connecting flights with 35 minutes of time between arrival and departure at some airports, the system would not allow me to proceed. If I recall correctly there were a few times where 35 minute connections were allowed.
So I think the generic answer to your question is 40 minutes -- for domestic flights. I suspect international flights require more time due to customs.
Correction.I misread your post and the answer I think is a minimum of 35 minutes - maybe a bit more at some airports from plane arrival to plane departure.. This based on my past attempts to build flight segments towards A List by booking same plane service between points A and C as multicity A to B and B to C.

and I'll correct something I said in my first post, the aircraft ID accompanying the pic is of a 737-500, so it appears that rear facing seats were on more than Southwest's first iteration of the 737.

I fly frequently and usually never have a problem with Southwest. But this cancelation today by Southwest will cost me time off from work and a rescheduling fee of $150.00
Huh? Southwest does not charge a rescheduling fee
and Southwest has no answer for canceling 3 hours before my flight, rebooking my direct flight to a earlier flight that is a layover,
When an airline cancels a flight (and they all do), all the airline can do is put you
on the next available flight. It cannot create a flight where one does not exist. If there arfe no other non-stops, then there are NO other non stops. Airlines don;t like canceling near departure times, but stuff happens: planes break, weather causes planes to not fly, crew gets delayed so there is no one to fly the plane, etc.
went from good boarding position to bad and arriving later at my destination causing me to miss my appointment and being charged for something that is not my fault.
It may not be Southwest's fault either. If an act of God caused the cancellation, , SW can;t exactly protest to the big guy.
This isn't a $50.00 fix by Southwest. I expect better. I hope to hear from Southwest very soon.

So if you missed it when it came out last December (or just want to see it again) this is your big chance.
I'll say I was surprised because it ends in a way that no other Bond movie has ended. Sorry, but I won't explain what that means. You'll have to see it yourself.
You'll need a LONG flight to see it in one bite, or you can see it over a few shorter flights.
The movie is 2 hours 43 minutes long.

It is not clear what happened to you.
Did you take a bunch of 2021 flights and then end up short or was it something else?
Edit add: upon further read it appears this is another Chase issue. This happens all the time. For you to earn Chase points in?any year YOUR STATEMENT MUST CLOSE IN THAT YEAR.
I would have thought that a long time CP holderwould know that.

Southwest no longer oversells their flights. Due to IRROPS or aircraft swaps they may not have enough seats. There's a big difference between those.
--TheMiddleSeat
Correct.. SW stopped over booking about 3-4 years ago
. Over booking is when the airline expects some no shows for a flight and sells that number of additional tickets. So you could see 140 tIckets sold on a plane that only seats 135. When there were fewer no shows than expected , then people got bumped by the airline.
That is entirely different than selling 170 tickets on a plane that seats 180, and then having to substitute
a plane that seats less than 170 People get bumped there too, but iris not due to over selling.
the former is under the airline’s control while the latter is not If your big plane cannot fly and the only available plane is smaller, then the airline can do one of two things
1) cancel the flight and no one gets to their destination or
2) use the smaller plane and some people get bumped.
which of the alternatives would you choose?

Southwest had rear facing seats on it's original 737s during the late 1970's - don't remember if they made it to 1980's. I'm pretty sure they were never installed on SW's next generation of planes - 737-300s.
Why did the airine do this? I dunno.

I think I understand what you're saying. You're saying that if initially paid $250 on my credit card for the Wanna Get Away ticket and then paid an additional $50 using credits to upgrade to Anytime, the entire amount would be refundable, but I'd only get $250 back on my credit card and the $50 would just end up back on the original travel fund credit. Right?
Ahh Nope. If you paid $250 to buy the WAGA ticket, cancelled it and then used the TF to buy an Anytime ticket -=- and then cancelled that ticket -- the $250 would remain a TF with it's original expiry date. The $50 TF you would use to buy the Anytime ticket (when combined with the $250 TF) would remain a TF
WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you use two TF's to buy any ticket and then cancel that ticket, then the resultant new TF assumes the earlier of the two expiry dates.

My understanding is that if you use a travel fund to partially pay for an anytime ticket, and then cancel that flight, then the amount of the travel fund returns to you as if travel fund with the old expiration date.

A policy is a policy. You agreed to it when you bought your ticket.
As far as the grace period goes, if SW grants your 4 day extension, and the next guy asks for a 6 day extension, and the next guy asks for a 10 day extension, and the next guy asks for a 14 day extension, and the next guy asks for a 21 day extension etc, etc, etc. what should SW do with those other people.
Once the airline would start making exceptions, where would it draw the line?
The airline drew the line at 365 days. At least SW lets you use expired travel funds when you pay a fee. which is a whole lot better than the competition. The other airlines tell you, "tough luck Charley" they're gone.

I purchased Early Bird Check-in for my wife and myself. We got B-19 & B-20. SW says we are checked-in 36 hours before our flight, 12 hours ahead of 24-hour crowd. I understand that EBC does not guarantee a favorable position but I have two issues.
1. Even though my boarding pass says "early bird check-in" there is no way to know that I was actually checked in 36 hours before departure. SW doesn't let you see your boarding pass until you can actually check in 24 hours before departure.
SW says it automatically assigns boarding positions at 36 hours pre flight time. Why do you doubt what the airline is saying?
2. Early Bird Check-in got me the second worse position in 8 years of flying with SW. I have always loved SW and still do, but this is the first bad experience with them. I don't believe EBC is worth the money. You are better off just checking in at the 24 hour mark.
That's just the luck of the draw.. It all; depends on how many A-Listers are on the flight as well as WHEN you got EB. The first person to buy it gets the best EB boarding spot and the last person to do so gets the worst EB boarding spot--all of which are better than the best t-24 boarding spot.
You can test SW in the future, The next time two of you are flying have one buy EB and the other not - checking in at t-24 hours. Then compare boarding positions.

Tattoos and piercings cannot be visible. You can have 'em but they'll need to be covered.
As far a facial hair goes, that topic had been discussed on the forum before:
Thank you for your questions and your interest in joining the Southwest family! We totally agree with @kelchrisjohnson and hopefully it’s not too late to save the curls. Per our uniform and appearance standards for this position hair longer than the top of the collar should be pulled back into a pony tail or braid. A beard, goatee, mustache, sideburns that is clean, short, combed and neatly trimmed is acceptable. Neither hair length or facial hair cannot interfere with the safety performing any job duties. In summary and in the words of the great Billy Joel - Don’t go changing, we LUV you just the way you are, curls and all!
Good luck in your interview and we hope you have a good hair day;)
