Points go to the RR acount of the person who opened (owns) the account.
I don;t think their is a way to switch account ownership, so I don;t beleive there is a way to have points go to your wife's acount.

Sorry you are feeling uncomfortable (and flying is indeed uncomfortable—I do it at least three days a week for about ten years now) but the numbers don’t lie and they don’t bear it out that SWA is anywhere near the smallest in pitch or width for domestic or international.
I agree with you. Pitch on 737-800 and Max8s (over half the fleet) is 32 inches which is better than every legacy airline. Pitch on 737-700s is 31 inches - which is on a par with the legacies and a bit better on a few .
Both are far better than every one of the ULCCs

It looks like in seat power is on 18 currently flying planes and will be on all new MAXs delivered from this point forward.
And it appears there will be different seats on new planes by the end of the year. I don;t know which of the seats were chosen -- just the manufacturer.
https://www.recaro-as.com/en/aircraft-seats/economy-class.html
edit add: in looking at seat descriptions, I would guess that the BL3530 is the new seat. Why? It is the only one listed as coming with in seat power.

As a customer for over 50 years, I have seen changes in the RR program. You used to fly four RT or 8 flight segment to earn a free flight to anywhere. There was no A-list BS and the Early Bird add on fee didn't exist.
And what does any of that have to do with your confusion about qualifying points? Oh, and I'm not a 50+ year SW customer -- just a 46 year customer...
edit add: the A-List program came into existence 17 years ago. Have you been confused about how to achieve A-list for the entire 17 years?

I am truly surprised that as a Southwest customer for over 50 years, that you are confused about qualifying points.
QUALIFYING POINTS have ALWAYS ONLY been earned by flying PERIOD. When the CHase CC came along, you could earn qualifiyng points by spending money on the card (last year 1500 for speending $10k -- this year 1500 for spending $5k)
You have NEVER been able to earn qualifing points in any othe way

Admittrdly it's better being inside when it is -10 outside, but what are you doing STAYING where it's -10 outside when you could take a free flight to somewhere in the carribean and be in a place where it is not -10 outside...😀

You can check the photo backdrop, but you might have to pay to do it. The rule is that "free" checked items should not exceed 62 inches h+l+w. Yours comes in at 65. You might get lucky, but don;t count on it. If it's in a flexible pouch, i WOULD NOT count on it not being bent. I'd go with some kind of rigid case. If you send it the way you described, SW will probsbly make you sign a wiaver tht absolves the airline from any damage the item may incur.
Re: the ring light: see what I said above obout putting it in some kind of box.
They really can't be combined as one item, at least IMO.

I suppose I should clarify. I understand that preboard and business select/ A boarding passes first no matter what. Specifically I am referring to who boards directly after them. The individuals who board between the A group and B group.
You don’t need to clarify, it was clear.
A-list members without A Numbers should be in front of family boarding.
If you see a “situation” developing just work your way up to the front or jump in at “A61” and ask “A-list?” and you should be good.
Actually, I did that 3-4 months ago at DEN. The agent confirmed familes first. Next time, if there is a next time, I intend to have a quiet conversaton with the agent telling the person that he/she is not following company policy and that if he perissists that I will report him by name to the company. Then I'll ask for his name.
I have learned that employees are pretty afraid of being reported - by name. I'll share why at some point in the future.

Officially,
1) Preboards
2) A boarding positions
3) Peoplewho are A-List but have B or C boarding positions
4) Mix of extra time, families, etc...
I have seen some boarding agents take the initiative to make the unauthorized granting of families before my #3 above.

If the delay, and thus the missed flight, was due to weather, SW's obligations are to give you a chance to rebook to a flight that better suit you.
You might get a coupon that would give you a dicounted hotel rate, but you have to ask for it.
SW handles these things the same way every other airline does, it does not accept responsibility for things that are out of it;s control. -- sorry
