All of the salary questions are answered with hourly rates and minimum flight times, but what can one expect to receive on an annual basis as a new FA?

Failure to plan ahead on someone else's fault is not an emergency on mine. If they NEEDED three seats together, there were a number of ways for them to get it. Personally, I disagree with people who say that you in the wrong. There are some situations where we need to be understanding like someone boarding a full flight with a small child where their connection was late. But, if they simply didn't want to pay EBCI, and they didn't check in early enough to get three seats together on a full flight, that's on them.

Hello, I applied for the call center position here in Chicago two days ago. How long does the process take for me to get a response? Also, I never got a confirmation email because I entered the incorrect email but I updated it. How can ensure that I receive emails from a recruiter?

@James94525 some applicants have waited for a year or more. It's a timely process. You will hear back when there is a need.

@MrsK wrote: Can I check my car seat in it’s original box? The checked baggage policy says no boxes but I want my car seat to be protected. Do you have the citation for that one? I thought boxes within the size allowance were okay. We bought a second travel car seat for ~$60 and if it gets damaged, we aren't out as much as the super-duper model got crushed. (Having traveled with it 40+ times it has been well worth it.) FWIW we also have traveled using the blue Southwest bags to avoid scuffing and while we've had to replace a couple of the bags, the seat has held up great. As @chgoflyer has pointed out on several other posts - unfortunately the policy that you sign would reimburse you for loss, but not for damage - so showing up at baggage claim with a mashed bag of parts would be your loss, but if the seat somehow went missing they would reimburse, so maybe the risk is too high in your view for the damage.

Thank you Sanguenetta. Where might I find those codes? I had looked into CPR/FIRST AID/ AED Certification in the past, so time I get that part done. I drive a lot of flight attendants from several airlines with Lyft and received a lot of encouragement. Southwest is my only choice, they do it the best and I want to go with a winner. Thank you again

That is so nice to hear. I think it's pretty awesome the way they go out of their way. Nice to hear when they do things right.

As one who wants to apply for a Flight Attendant position, I have figured there won't be any openings until those aircraft are back in the rotation, the effect on those flight crews must be a burden for the airlines. That's hard to say - the aircraft grounding accounts for 5% of previously scheduled flights had heard more or less - anyway I don't know the annual turnover on FA's but if it is more than 5% then there could still be opportunities so I wouldn't stop looking necessarily.
