Thank you Bec102896. I appreciate your response.
After a very negative reaction from a gate agent at BWI, I really don’t know if we will fly SW again. This girl actually rolled her eyes at me when I asked about preboarding my husband (and yes I explained his issues). She had to be the rudest gate agent I think I’ve ever encountered with SW. She came across as I was bothering her and why would I need to do that. 😳 It was beyond bizarre. I will be looking for another airline due to hubby’s medical issues. Thank you again for your response.

Hello,
My husband, who is disabled, does best when he goes down the aisle and it’s empty. He has bad balance issues and has poor feeling in his legs from knees down. He uses a cane but does fall easily (due to balance). I have to ask each time for a pre boarding pass. We are NOT looking to sit in first row (and we do not) and we are NOT saving seats for any one. There are only 2 of us and a fall would be detrimental. We always feel like we are being judged when we ask to preboard. My husband is disabled due to his time in he Marine Corp. I know it’s just a matter of time that he will be in a wheelchair. Being the tough Marine he is, he gets by with a cane for now, The only option for assistance when I book our flights is if you need a wheelchair. I just wish there was a different option but there is not. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your response. I just thought it might be confusing since I was paying with credits for my husband and myself but using my debit card for my kids. I wasn’t sure if that would fly (no pun intended). I will reach out to SW. Thank you for responding. 😊

So, I booked myself and my hubby tickets to MCO later this year. We had a large credit and we don't purchase Early Bird because my husband is disabled and we get on first so he doesn't fall down the aisle (neurological issues thanks to the Marine Corp) : / Anyhow, our son and his girlfriend are also going with us but I booked them separately because I purchased both of them Early Bird. Is there someway online that I can connect the 2 itineraries in case of a cancelled flight or someone gets bumped? I would want SW to know we are all together. Thanks for all info, you guys are always the best, Yzguy

I'm buying tickets for myself, hubby, son and his girlfriend. The 3 of us have passports, she does not. She will need to get an enhanced drivers license (trip is in November this year) or a passport. If I book her now with her current drivers license, will it be a pain for her to use new type of ID? Do I update Southwest before we are to fly or can she just present her new ID when we arrive at check in? I did try to call, the hold time was very very long. I thought maybe someone on her might know the answer. Thanks everyone. Yzguy

I have been ready for weeks for 10/30 to book my tickets to San Juan next May. I was up early, nothing new on their website, check every 15-30 minutes. Still nothing new... Checked at 0805 and every 'get away' fair for the entire week is grayed out when we wanted to travel. It's $560 one way. In other words, there is no good deal. I'm shocked that every single fair that week is this high. Looks like we will not be flying on SW for this one. Disappointed, Yzguy : /

I apologize but I've read all I could find here and I'm still confused. I have some travel credit for both my husband and I. The expiration dates are February 2, and March 2, 2020. I'm getting ready to purchase some tickets for a trip in May of 2020. Can I use those funds or no? I'm not clear if I have to rebook before the expiration date or if we have to travel before the expiration date. If it's the later, we will lose the credit. Thanks for all help, Yzguy

My husband is immunosupressed and has neurological issues (thanks to the Marine Corp). He also uses a cane. We ask for pre-board because it takes him a minute to get down the aisle and he could trip easily if something is out in the aisle as his balance isn’t the greatest. I also Clorox wipe the seatbelt latch, the armrests, the tray, and the window shade if he is by the window before he touches anything. He cannot risk catching a germ from someone else. As well, he wears a dust mask prior to boarding. We do everything possible to keep him healthy. Our goal by preboarding is not to sit in the first rows, it’s only to get him situated. We don’t care if we are row 10. I have to chuckle to myself, I usually sit in the center seat since I am very petite. When people notice my hubby in a mask, they must think he’s contagious (?). They will just walk on by the empty seat on the aisle. The fact is, he is just trying to stay healthy. Just remember, you can’t always look at someone and know their backstory.

Thanks so much Elijah. I guess I did forget to add that my best friend Manda is traveling with us also. She retired from the Navy, but has never been on a cruise ship. She is so stoked! 😁 Thanks again, you are such a blessing, ~Winona

Wow, that is so very kind of you elijahbrantly. I’m so touched by your offer. I certainly don’t need many. I will attempt to send you a private message but being a newbie here, it may be a struggle. Thank you so very much, Yzguy

Thanks dfwskier, I appreciate the input. Of course, I will let him/her know they have just expired. If the answer is no, that’s fine. As the wife and mother of two US Marines, we just step back...adapt, and overcome. 😁

I received some drink coupons late last year. My husband and I will flying on 9/11/19. I just pulled my coupons out and they expire on 8/31/19. They will be expired by 11 days by the time we fly. Will SW let you use expired tickets? I know some places of business will give a week or two past expiration on coupons. I’ve never gotten to use these so I really don’t know. If these are not usable, that’s fine,. Thanks for any input. Yzguy
