On my flight home last night, I tried to login the WiFi on my iPad & it said devices exceeded. The policy states 3 devices. Between my husband & I, we had two phones & 1 iPad, so no way to exceed 3 devices.
I even tried logging out both phones & still wouldn’t work. Anyone else experience this?

That’s what I thought. But no one from southwest or chase can explain why I only got 4,500 tier points on $21,000+ in spend.

Based on this, shouldn’t everything from the statement that started in December count towards the next year qualification? My statement went 12/6/23 to 1/6/24. I had $21,000 in spend & only got 4,500 Tier Qualifying points. Most of my spend was in December.

I'm trying to get a status match with Delta. They require a physical or digital membership card. Anyone know where to get one? I've been A-List Preferred and Companion Pass for years, but don't remember the last time I got a card. Anyone had luck completing the status match without a membership card?

Since when did Southwest start increasing Business Select prices closer to flight time. Went to upgrade a flight today & instead of $120 fare difference it was over $300. In the past, lower class fare prices fluctuated, but never Business Select.

I've got plenty of standard size bags. But, since I fly Southwest primarily and work travel is starting again, I wanted to get one for Southwest that allows me to fit in a few more things. I love that they have a slightly larger size allowance.

I'm trying to find the max size I can carry on that is within the limits. Most 24 inch bags are actually bigger with wheels. I have a standard size bag and have seen so many people with huge bags. Never realized Southwest actually has a larger carry on size limit than most airlines. I don't want to be abusive and have a bigger bag, but would like to find one that is right at the limit.

I'm trying to find a suitcase that fits within Southwest's slightly larger carry on limit. They allow 24x16x10. Has anyone had luck finding one that fits? Everything I find is the standard 20" that most airlines allow or a 24" that is actually bigger in overall dimensions.

I booked a flight with a combination of a $5.60 travel credit from a cancelled flight, a LUV voucher and my credit card. Had to cancel the flight and now all funds expire the date of the earliest expiration. This is absurd!! The earliest expiration was the $5.60 credit. Now I'm out $170 for other funds.

My husband recently added my nephew as his companion. The process was simple, we called, gave is RR number and they added him. After completing a flight today, I called to switch my companion to my niece. Gave RR number and then the lady asked for my niece's date of birth & address. I had the wrong zip code and she wouldn't add her. Called back a few minutes later with the correct zip code (my brother's zip code had recently changed), the representative asked for my nieces RR number and that was it, change made. Why such different policies?

Has southwest finally updated the system to let companions get boarding priority with A-Lister? Flying MCO to STL tomorrow on a fairly full flight. I’m A~Preferred & got. A20. My husband, who is companion & not on same reservation got A21 & checked in 30 minutes late.

Called today to check my Saturday flight from MCO to STL. Hadn't received an email, but just wanted to check since many that day are sold out already. I was a bit shocked to find out that as of today they are no longer sending out the middle seats full email. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

I got an email today that my flight to Orlando on Thursday is looking like the middle seats will be full. There weren't any suggested alternative flights, but the email did say I could change for free. I called to get an earlier flight that would be the 1st flight of the morning, so hopefully a cleaner aircraft and was told I couldn't switch because that flight have fewer open seats than the one I'm currently scheduled on. That makes no sense since the email I got clearly stated I could change within a 3 day window there aren't any exceptions in the fine print.

I think just like announcements around wearing a mask, something needs to be said about touching another passenger. It's stated quite clearly in their policy about encroaching on another person's seat. It's generally quite obvious when a flight attendant walks down the aisle to check seatbelts that a passenger is spilling over into another person's seat. I pay for my seat and expect to be able to sit within my space unobstructed by someone else. As an A-List Preferred flyer, I've earned the right to have first choice of open seats. I shouldn't have to move because someone decides to sit next to me that doesn't fit within the seat. I've always had issues with this, but now with COVID, I really don't want someone else touching me. I'm not suggesting measuring people or body shaming, but I also don't want to have another person spilling into my seat. I had a situation a few years ago where a VERY large person sat between myself and a coworker. The person was so large that we had their sweat on our legs. We couldn't even put the middle arm rests down the person was so far into our seats. I did say something to the flight attendant, very discretely, and was made to be the villain. They offered to move me to the only open seat, a window seat and I explained I'm very claustrophobic and that wouldn't do. She then went on to loudly say something to the person between us about making us uncomfortable. The person then threatened us. Other passengers were in shock. The person threatened to hit us if we said another thing. We & other passengers brought it to the flight attendants attention and it only got worse, the flight attendant then gave the person all kinds of special treatment through the flight. My travel companion and I were threatened by the person at the end of the flight. When we brought that to the attention of the flight attendants, along with other passengers who had witnessed this, they escorted the person off the plane. We were relieved until we deplaned and realized they were apologizing to the person and giving them a voucher. When we asked about this, they said 'how would you feel?' We ended up escalating and getting a formal apology and both of our flights reimbursed. After this, I'm a bit nervous to bring anything up. I shouldn't have to put myself at risk of being harassed or threatened by another passenger. The flight attendants should take care of this.

I'd definitely complain. You followed protocol booking 2 seats. By doing so, there was an additional seat for you. Southwest doesn't overbook flights anymore, so you should have been allowed to board and have your 2nd seat. Quite honestly, I wish more people would do this. It makes travel easier for the person that needs a little more room and for the person who would otherwise have their seat encroached on. I would print the policy & keep it with you in the future. https://www.southwest.com/html/customer-service/extra-seat/index-pol.html

I shouldn't be the one that has to be reseated. I'm A-List Preferred and deserve to be able to sit in the seat I choose. Yes, they send that email 3 days out, but the routes I fly quite often are all booked and even if you switch, there is still a chance the new flight will also be booked.

Question for those that have been flying since they opened up the middle seats. We haven't flown Southwest since and are going to try it on an upcoming trip from St. Louis to Steamboat. It's during a peak time, so I know most seats will be full. My concern is that quite often pre COVID I would end up with a larger person next to me who would encroach on my space and often be sitting with some potion of their body touching mine. I'm very uncomfortable with this now. I don't want to make a scene, but feel I will have to say something if someone encroaches on my space. I know middle seat gets both arm rests and I generally always sit on the aisle, but don't feel like having to lean over an entire flight to stay away from that dreaded person that sprawls out in the middle seat. I'm a smaller person and feel like an easy target for someone that wants a little more room.

This has been a requirement for quite some time, they now have Federal Law to back it. The 1st time we flew during the pandemic was in May of 2020 and we were all required to wear masks. The 2 and up policy has been the same since they started requiring masks. If you search through these threads, you'll see multiple discussions about the mask policy that have been going on for quite some time.

Since Southwest won't let me book an extra seat for myself to guarantee an empty middle, I will now book 8 seats per flight and cancel 7 ten minutes before departure. Hmmm, maybe rethink this policy!!

It really is sad. We've seen flight attendants not wearing them while seated & not eating or drinking and flight attendants not wearing them properly. We've seen people with bandanas that don't go under their chins. We've seen people not wear them and even moved seats and complained once about a man that said he wouldn't wear it. They talked to him, we took off and he didn't wear it the entire flight except when flight attendants walked by. A friend is a customer service manager for American and they don't tolerate this behavior. They ban people for life that don't comply.

Unfortunately, our normal destination is MCO and even now the planes are full to the reduced capacity, so I'm sure they will be booked for the Holidays. I have an email directly from Gary Kelly that says saving seats & bin space is OK and anytime someone has questioned me, flight attendants included, I pull out the letter. My husband & I have never had an issue with me saving him a seat. If I purchase a seat for my 'Wedding Dress', I will place it in a seat with its boarding pass and then save another seat for my husband. I just don't understand why I have to go to such lengths. If I want to buy an entire plane full of seats, they should sell it to me.

I’m A-Preferred & have companion pass.
