It's based off of when you bought EB those who buy EB a month in advance should receive a better position than the person who bought it a week in advance. You would also be assigned a position after the A List customers. -Blake

At the ticket counter/gate you can buy upgraded boarding which is different than EB check in. EB check in must be purchased at least 36 hours before your flight. -Blake

Yes you can combine them with just a little work You would book a flight that you don't intend on taking using 2 or 3 of the travel funds as long as the funds cover the whole flight. Once booked cancel that flight and use that confirmation number with 2 more travel funds and book another flight and cancel it. Now do it one more time to get the 6th fund and cancel you would have 6 funds combined in to 1. Keep in mind if 1 fund expires earlier than the others the new booking will take on the earliest expiration date so when it comes to requesting the voucher you can do that up to 6 months after the travel funds expire so combining could affect your date to request by. Example: You start with 6 confirmation numbers (ABCDE&F) Use Travel fund A B and C to book a flight and cancel Use confirmation X (from just booked and cancelled flight) and confirmation numbers D & E to book a 2nd flight and cancel Now use confirmation Y (from 2nd cancelled flight) and confirmation F (your 6th travel fund) to book a 3rd flight and cancel. You will now have confirmation Z which combines ABCDEF Hopefully this helps and makes sense -Blake

Yes the weather was nice in San Antonio today (hot but nice finally) Thursday not so nice. Anyways where you were going may not have had nice weather or maybe the plane needed to go out of service and that may have caused your flight to be cancelled. Flight delays and cancellations happen all the time (yes last minute too) airlines can't predict weather, crew problems, or maintenance issues days, weeks, and months in advance. Your best bet is to reach out to Southwest as suggested that way they can look in to what happened with your flight. I've flown in and out of San Antonio many times and have always had great service even when our flight arrives late like this past Monday at 2am they still greeted us with a smile. -Blake

So based on the information You provided I'm guessing you were flying on a Saturday in October. If that is the case You could do the flight at 2:25pm where it stops in Nashville with no plane change and your parents can board and you would all connect in Dallas so in your case it would be a 2 stop 1 plane change flight but at least you would be on the same flight from Nashville together and the Dallas to San Jose together. Sure in this case you can't help in Nashville but you could save a seat for your family -Blake

Looks like it's a great time to bring this back to the top since Southwest is modifying its schedule for September and October. If your flight is changed you can make a one time change on the app or website with no fare difference (as long as the flight is within 14 days and city pairs remain the same) For complex reservations you can try the chat feature on the app or reach out to southwest on Facebook or Twitter. Phone call volumes are high so I would avoid calling at this time -Blake

Sorry you have had a delay in getting the voucher keep in mind this is an exception to the expired funds so they don't have to give you the voucher they are just being nice sure it may take time but it will come Southwest has just been overloaded lately so it could be a backup in the system.

Yes if you book a flight with a travel fund your reservation will take on the expiration date of the oldest travel fund applied. In some cases it makes more sense to lose a little bit of travel funds to get extra time to use funds should that trip have a possibility of being cancelled. In your case since you bought the tickets at the price you did to begin with it seems you were ok with that price so getting some funds back is just a bonus even if they expire quickly at least you still have a chance to use those funds. Those funds would need to be booked and travel completed by the expiration date. One other thought southwest has been making schedule changes to September and October flights if you get a schedule change you could request a refund and rebook and that way the cash you paid would be refunded and not be a travel fund the voucher would be held as a travel fund under the confirmation number you have. -Blake

Sorry to hear your stuck on hold so long. Yes Covid-19 may have started 1 and a half years a go they are still feeling the effects including staffing shortages which is the same with every other company and without staff no one can answer the phone. your best bet is to stay on the phone and they will get to your call as soon as possible. I would search your email for here is your southwest LUV voucher in case it came and you just missed it. Keep in mind the voucher would be emailed to you and it wouldn’t be in your rapid rewards account. -Blake

Yes it looks like Southwest is revising its flight schedule in September when the airline changes your flight you can either change to a different flight at no additional cost (one time only) or if the new flight schedule won’t work for you then you can request a refund to the original form of payment. I would avoid calling right now as hold times are long so if you want the refund option you could reach out to Southwest on Facebook or Twitter or send an email through the contact us page and they will respond as soon as they can. -Blake

Rapid rewards dining and shopping are great ways to earn points for stuff you were already planning to buy. Once my mom was going to buy a new stove for the house the store told her online only I said hold on let me check rapid rewards shopping and I found a 6 points/$ and the holiday bonus ended up getting about 6,500 points for the $600 stove Points can take a week or 2 to post to your account but its an easy way to earn points. -Blake

Your inbound flight from fort Myers was delayed because of the weather in Orlando. The FAA had a ground stop and that means planes can't leave or take off. The planes you saw leaving were the ones already there so when the ground stop ended they boarded and left because your plane didn't get to leave yet it was affected by the ground stop. Had your plane come from somewhere like Atlanta it may have left on time then been diverted because of the ground stop. Your welcome to Contact Customer Relations and they can review your experience however because this was a weather delay there is not much they will be able to do because Southwest can't control the weather. -Blake

Are you employed by Southwest Airlines? I am wondering the same thing. They don't have the employee logo next to their username just new arrival.

So you got an A boarding pass and your not happy? A lot of other people who buy EB end up with the B boarding group. Why were they ahead of you? A List customers and their companions get assigned boarding passes before EB folks. 2nd if an A List customer or A boarding pass customer were to cancel then the next person to check in will get that A boarding pass even if they check in say 5 hours before the flight. A List folks can fly standby so those A group passes could open up. Also if there is a delay that would affect other A group customers they could be moved to other flights. If you are really that upset about getting an A boarding pass you can share your feedback with southwest directly though one of these contact methods Contact Customer Relations -Blake

Sure that hold music is not the best but once you get someone and they get your issue resolved its worth the time and effort. Maybe next time just put the phone on speaker while living your daily life until they come on.

Sorry your flight was cancelled. Weather is rough around the country from storms here in Texas to the topical mess in the north east from Elsa. This causes planes and crews to be grounded and that results in cancellations. Trust me airlines don't want to cancel flights but sometimes they don't have a choice. Once travel is complete you can Contact Customer Relations and they can review your flight and look in to possible compensation. -Blake

You could always reach out again and maybe that new representative you get will understand and might be able to do something different. Another thought maybe you could book a flight with the voucher and when you cancel you will have a travel fund and maybe 6 months down the road once that travel fund expires you can call with that new travel fund asking for a voucher minus the $100. I have no idea if it would work or not and sure if it worked you would lose another $100 but maybe you could then use the funds. I don't think they will extend a LUV voucher so that's why I say book a new flight. -Blake
