Keep in mind other airlines charge you to transfer points as well and they have the same policy of points transfers being non refundable.

Good evening,
I dont know if you are who im supposed to reach out to. We flew home from LAX today as we were there for my birthday and went to Disneyland for my big day. While there we bought ornaments and brought them with us on our flight thinking that if we checked them they would be damaged. Unfortunately when we brought them on the plane we put them up in the carry on and one of the flight attendants helped another SWA customer with their bags and slammed their bag in to one of our ornaments. We initially didnt think it would be a big deal as Disney packs them with quite a bit of safety care and tons of tissue paper to ensure they dont break. When we just got home we wanted to double check everything and indeed one of the ornaments is broken
What can be done to rectify this issue?

Jessica... Our original boarding passes were Group B. With the Priority boarding, as first to board the plane, we had first choice of seats, so chose seats in the first couple of rows, thus also ensuring we would be first to deplane in Baltimore.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know this forum wasn't a direct connect to SWA.

Connecting through Denver is easy. As long as all your flights are SW you won’t have to take a shuttle for connecting flights. SW departs from the C concourse. Worse case you get a 7-10min walk if they put your connection flight at the opposite end of the concourse. An hour should be plenty of time for a connection unless your first flight is delayed 40min or longer if your first flight has a long delay I would go to the counter and they can advise you of your options at that time. With regards to your first time flying Southwest be sure you check in as close to the 24 hour mark as you can (unless you bought Early Bird check in then check in anytime) as Southwest doesn’t assign seats it’s an open seating policy so you can sit anywhere that there is an open seat once onboard. The earlier you check in the better your boarding position will be and the better chance you get to sit in an aisle or window (or middle seat if your one who likes those 😜) Happy Flying! -Blake

All SW flights from Orlando depart from the gate 100-129 terminal A airside. You won’t need to take a shuttle to connect to another SW flight. Connections in Orlando are very easy worse case you have a 5-7min walk if you arrive at 129 and have to go to 109. If she needs help finding her connecting flight she can always ask a SW representative and they can direct her to the correct place. -Blake

The ticket counter opens 2 hours before the 1st flight although you should be fine if you arrive 1 hour 20min before a domestic flight. I have flown from AUS at 5am several times and I get to the airport about 3:45am check bag go through security and to the gate in 12min on average as southwest has the self service kiosks making things quick for checking in. Tip: AUS now has a Starbucks for your morning cup of joe by gate 14.

Absolutely no reason to merge or otherwise mess with the reservation to check bags through to final destination. Just ask at the full service check-in counter. --TheMiddleSeat

There's no time like the present! If the flight price decreases in the future, you can rebook and the difference in fare can be used on a future flight (one year from the original flight purchase date). --Jessica

Airtime player is another app that can play the movies. It actually was the only way to watch them back before southwest did some entertainment portal enhancements.

@jquebby wrote: I purchased my ticket January 12, 2020 for travel January 14th. I also purchased EBCI. I was able to use it for my outbound flight but not for my inbound flight because I ended up changing my travel to leave one day earlier. Because the EBCI is non-refundable, Southwest is unwilling to give me a refund. I have already taken to Twitter to express my displeasure about this and will never again waste my money for this product. I will simply wait ask at the boarding gate when I arrive if there are any more A zone slots available. I would rather pay $50 for that than waste the $25 for EB and get nothing. The closer to 36 hours pre flight time you get, the worse the value of your EBCI. Why - because EBCI positions are allocated based on when they are purchased. If bought within 24 hours of flight time it is worthless. 'As far as EBCI refundability goes, you yourself said "Because the EBCI is non-refundable, Southwest is unwilling to give me a refund." so you seem to understand that it is nonrefundable. You do know what nonrefundable means -- don't you? You may not like it, but that is the rule.

Airlines rely information from Boeing to determine when MAXs will return to service. If that information turns out to be wrong, airlines have to adjust. SW just pulled MAXs out of the schedule beginning in APRIL. You think it is unreasonable to give passengers 3 to 6 MONTHS notice of a flight change? You should be able to find an alternative that far in advance, and you can get your money back if you want to (even for nonrefundable tickets). United ,American, Alaska et all are all doing the same thing.

You usually have 3 days to change the reservation for free. -Blake

I like this visual representation which shows Southwest definitely focuses on some cities, but it's clearly not a hub and spoke model. The problem with hub and spoke, as referred to in the linked article above is smaller cities almost always have to fly through a hub to get somewhere. Southwest will often offer at least one non stop to several cities even from the smallest of cities. Here's another slide showing how they spread their flights around a number of large metro areas. I was trying to find the slide listing their top cities by daily flights. If I remember correctly it's MDW first then DEN? And I think DEN is projected to take number 1 soon. These slides are all from the November 2019 investor presentation, http://www.southwestairlinesinvestorrelations.com/news-and-events/events-and-presentations --TheMiddleSeat

@Shlars1936, I hope it all works out well. SWA flight attendants are the best in my view. Hopefully the fact that there is not a drink cart will work in your favor. Regarding the space between wall and seat in the front row, that may vary based upon type of aircraft. Best of travels to you. Hopefully you are traveling late so you can arrive and just relax/sleep/refresh after the flight.

@bec102896 I have written my recruiter twice in the span of 2 weeks. I didn't want to keep emailing because I know there are more applicants than her, but the email confused me in saying that only employment was completed. I'm guessing that means they are stil pending my background (fingerprints) & drug test but I did those 2 weeks ago as well. I didn't think it would take this long but maybe I will here something by next week. My dashboard still says under review so I think that's a positive 😊
