It's not like I am selling my credits to a friend or someone else...I am talking about my spouse. What is the reasoning behind this? I really don't understand. I will not be able to use the credits myself before they expire. Thanks! Southwest stopped allowing travel funds to be used by anyone (other than the original traveler) in 2011, presumably as a revenue-retaining measure. FYI: Once the funds expire, you can request reissue as a voucher that is usable by anyone (but that won't cover the taxes/fees portion, only the actual airfare). The fee for this is $100 (currently). You have 6 months from expiration in which to make the request and the voucher will be valid for 6 months from date of issue. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but are seldom denied.

This might answer your question or it may confuse the issue! I just used CreditKarma to review my DH's and my credit history to figure out if we've had a SWA Chase card in the past 24 months. I created CreditKarma accounts for both of us so I could compare them and make sure I didn't miss anything. We each have our own Amazon Chase card as well as an IHG (Holiday Inn group) Chase card, with the other person as authorized users. All four of these cards are listed under both of our reports even though in all of these cases, two of the cards are solely in my husband's name (with me as an authorized user) and two of the cards are solely in my name (with my husband as an authorized user). I know for a fact that we did not share the application because the point of getting the cards was to get the signup bonuses by becoming a cardmember. In all cases we added the other person as an authorized user after the account was opened (and we also opened the Amazon accounts at the same time, then later opened the IHG accounts at the same time). So.... MAYBE they would say you have been a cardmember within 24 months? I know the bigger issue with just applying anyway and hoping it will work is that all of the cards have an annual fee, so at best you are gambling on the cheapest card at $69. That said, maybe asking Chase again would work - this time rather than asking if you'd get the bonus, instead ask, "have I been a cardmember with you in the past 24 months" and see how they digest that.

Actually there are not tons of flights from HOU to LIR. On weekdays there is one. On Saturdays there are two. I did not check every month from now til August. I checked two months. Your problem is that the HOU/LIR flights depart either early or mid morning -- early enough that you can't get to HOU early enough to make the connection.

Yes, it's possible but pretty unlikely. 😞 FYI: Your Rapid Rewards points won't expire as long as you have point earning activity once every 24 months. But you should double check the expiration dates on your vouchers -- if you've been saving them that long they're likely approaching expiration (which I expect may be the reason you're anxious).

Unfortunately, all planes do not have wifi anymore. That plateau was reached (and much touted) some time ago. Then a 2nd internet service provider was brought in, but then that basically fell apart, leaving some planes now without wifi at all, and some with the hardware installed but unable to actually use it (until it's replaced with new hardware from the old provider). It's kind of a mess, really. 😞 More info: Exclusive: Southwest Airlines and Panasonic Avionics part ways

I would also like to add...... God rest his soul and my condolences to the Kelleher family. Not every family is as well off others...and even if you are well off, it would be a huge burden lifted, when needing to make last minute arrangements to get family members to their love one's homecoming service? A bereavement discount would be an awesome relief to a very stressful time in a families life during the mourning period.

Morning. Remember this is a customer to cstomer forum. So you are better off sending your comment directly to the airline. To do so, click on the words "contact us" a the bottom left of this page, and then view your options to contact the airline on the top left of the ensuing page. That being said, Southwest keeps adding gates at DIA, and DIA expansion plans include even more DIA C concourse gates, so Southwest is not going to run out of room for expansion at DIA at any time in the future. I understand that DIA is still talking about potentially adding D and E. consourses.

This ended up being a comedy of errors, almost the perfect storm of bad situations. I contacted Chase, they gave me even more bad advice, but eventually I talked to a supervisor at the call center that gave me a solution that, while wasn't perfect, has worked out. Keeping an open mind and allowing the situation to play out was the key. I kept the attitude that if this didn't work out, it wasn't a horrible thing anyway and my life would go on. I killed the, with kindness and things are finally worked out.

Thanks for the feedback explaining that you only redeem for flights, I did see that. You're absolutely correct. "Hotels" do not appear to be currently available via More Rewards. I'd suggest you contact Southwest or More Rewards about this, but that's likely a waste of time -- you'll just receive a form reply, and the issue will probably be resolved in it's own time. As has been mentioned earlier in this thread, redeeming points for anything other than Southwest flights uses a very unfavorable exchange rate, and is generally not recommended anyway.

I am not saying that there is no problem with the phone system; it just might be worth giving it a shot with another phone. Good luck! Land lines, too. Just yesterday I used a land line to call a company. Got the standard "hit 1 for english." I did, and the recording repeated. Hit 1 a second time, and the same thing happened. Hit 1 a third time, and the system disconnected me. Called back with the same phone, and the situation repeated. Called back from a different phone, and hitting 1 worked. Thats why I like the systems that say "press or say 1 for English" (or other option) noting more annoying than repeating an action to get no where

It looks like the best you can do is $720 for two people. That's about as low as it goes for any time between now and August. https://www.southwest.com/air/booking/select.html?originationAirportCode=DAL&destinationAirportCode=GRR&returnAirportCode=&departureDate=2019-07-15&departureTimeOfDay=ALL_DAY&returnDate=2019-08-03&returnTimeOfDay=ALL_DAY&adultPassengersCount=2&seniorPassengersCount=0&fareType=USD&passengerType=ADULT&tripType=roundtrip&promoCode=&reset=true&redirectToVision=true&int=HOMEQBOMAIR&leapfrogRequest=true edit add: I took a quick look on Orbitz. It looks like $720 for two people is the going rate for competing airlines, too. Remember, if fares go down and you change to a flight with a lower fare, Southwest gives you travel funds that you can use (fee free) anytime within a year of the time you bought the original ticket. I suspect fares to GRR won't drop, but if fares to Chicago do (and I do expect that for end of July), you might be able to fly to Chicago and get a rent car.

Yes, you'd need to combine your funds prior to expiration. The expiration date of the new fund would be the earliest expiration date of any of the funds you used.

@Steph-Crawley wrote: Hello - I'm trying to book a round trip flight from DIA to Albany, NY....but need to depart JFK to get back to DIA - all round trip. Can this be done on Southwest? All other sites allow me to choose multiple cities, and have destination 1 and desitination 2, allowing multiple departure cities. I am finding it difficult to complete this on Southwest. Any help would be great! Thank you! I believe that you can call to have this type of reservation constructed all on one confirmation number - as @dfwskier mentioned you'd be limited to either LGA or EWR as opposed to JFK which Southwest doesn't serve. I'm not aware of an online method for self-service to book that trip on one confirmation number. But that said, myself and several others on the community would normally book these as separate one-way flights anyway. There is no cost impact, and there are some benefits in management of the flights online, the main downside is that you'll keep track of two separate confirmation numbers. In the age of the app and smart phone, it's not a big deal now to have separate confirmation numbers. (But if you decided to cancel one leg it's much easier as one-way tickets...for instance if you start out thinking of flying LGA, then decide to take the other guys from JFK due to your trip's location.)

Sure it's allowed. It just needs to be in a package ( box, luggage) of no more than 50 pounds and of (height _ length + width) of no more than 62 inches -- or you'll pay an excess baggage fee. Be sure it's packed in such a way that it doesn't break in the process.

That doesn't neceearily address the issue when one person logged in and got the error, but tried from other public computers and still got the error. Unless they were using a public library computer which was on the list, and then tried another computer from a different library that was also on the list for instance. If you believe your ISP to be blacklisted, that's probably a place for you to start. Southwest may be identifying specific IP's, but thtey may also subscribe to lists of IP's to blacklist - one apporach to the issue would be for your ISP to take action not to be blacklisted.

Morning. First of all, security (TSA) only checks to verify that you have a valid ticket , that you've checked in, and that you can prove who you are. Other than that, it has nothing to do with the ticketing process. So no, you won't have to print two boarding passes. You should be able to sort it all out at the gate. Just be sure to get to the gate ore than 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
