What a strange post.
Southwest extended travel funds from customer cancelled flights from March 2020 - September 2020 to September 2022. That's more than two years. Plenty of us have flown numerous times throughout 2020-2021.
IMO, extending benefits even further (i.e. to 2023) is prolonging unnecessary and unfounded fears that we don't need to placate anymore.
It's been over 2 years of this. The pandemic is over. Get your shots and boosters and stay home if you're sick. Or don't. Life needs to go back to how it was before we all became scaredy hypochondriacs and I don't mind dying on this hill.

I also don't see how Southwest is to blame here? They asked folks if they could move. No they didn't block off the seats, but I don't think I've ever heard of that happening.

I have seen it sometimes where they were holding it, but with the tight connection I have also heard that they didn't think the people would make it and didn't hold the spots, then the people made it after all.
On one of our January trips we had to split up the family on one of the legs, and on another one a gentleman moved to a middle seat so we could be together so there are some kind people out there.

No my problem was not solved. I had to dispute credit card charges. No help from SWH or Booking.com when all I needed was a confirmation number which I requested over 50 times for them to email me the information. No response is needed just will never book a SWH again

I do believe that lighter color paint last longer. I remember when Delta (or perhaps it was Northwest) changed from darker color to mostly white on their planes. They did it because it would save money because the paint would last longer.

If your talking about a trip in April it looks like they are redoing the schedule and a lot of people are having schedule changes the nice thing with southwest compared to other airlines if your flight changes by even 5min you get 1 free change to any flight you want with same city pairs within 2 weeks of your original flight so did you book a red eye because it was cheaper well you could switch to the mid afternoon $400 without a penny more owed so when you say you got rebooked and you have to pay well if they rebooked you then you can change for free or request a refund if the change is major.

I can confirm that the "lounge" seats existed in the years AFTER 9/11 and was installed in then-new -700 series aircraft in the old brown/orange/red checkered cloth seats.
I know I was on several in the mid-2000s.
You are right. The pic was taken in Orlando in 2003, so Southwest was using the configuration at least thru 2003.

So, following up on this, I went to the counter, prior to boarding, to upgrade to the 'A' group. Once that was done, I told the lady at the counter about the Early Bird situation. More specifically, if that charge could be refunded or applied to the return flight.
She said, that it should be applied to the return flight automatically. She was able to confirm in the system. Sure enough, I had a low 'A' boarding assignment on the way back.
At the time I paid for it, there was no error message, just a normal confirmation message and the reservation immediately showed an Early Bird applied. I still have the confirmation email.

@bwallet Appears to be a difference between Apple and Android. I believe standard behavior on android based devices which would include the OP's Chromebook IF it had airplane mode is for it to disable BT. The only thing that actually matters is disabling data and even that is debatable.

Southwest Vacations is a 3rd party service that Southwest uses for combined airline and hotel reservations. I don't think it's fair to say that Southwest has "no involvement" with SV considering SV is predominantly featured right on Southwest.com along with other 3rd party services that Southwest also utilizes like Booking.com for hotel bookings or Avis, Hertz etc for car rentals. With that said, since it is 3rd party you are not communicating with actual Southwest representatives when you have issues with a SV reservation. Here is their "about" page which explains more about who they are: https://www.southwestvacations.com/general/about-southwest-vacations and their "Support" link at the top has options for not only e-mail but also a "chat with an agent" feature. Have you tried that?
All of that aside, you have not explained your issue. What was your issue with the booking or a cancellation? I bet dollars to donuts it has to do with travel credit, refunds, or something similar, but without more detail it's impossible to know.

I flew on United last year, and the flight crew was constantly going up and down the aisle, reminding people to pull up their masks. Announcing is not enforcing. I fly pretty much every week, and I never hear flight attendants address individuals about masks. I certainly never hear anything after takeoff.

Southwest Vacations has a confusing travel package system. It is often impossible to wait for a response from the call center operators or the support service in the application. Now I use their services only as a last resort. Although due to covid, I began to travel less, so the number of trips also decreased. But I try to get out of the house. Two months ago I managed to visit the greenest country in the world — Costa Rica! It was a fantastic trip; I have a lot of impressions left. So don't let any SV spoil your vacation. Good luck!

I found an interesting new data point. As stated in the article, the new fare will be slotted between WGA and Anytime, and it would not take anything away from any other fare class. Apparently, Southwest also says that they will be increasing the benefits tied to BS, Anytime, and WGA fares. Okay, now I'm truly stumped. If they had said "enhancing", I'd jokingly say that it was a euphemism, but the word used was "increasing".

I’ve flown my qualifying segments as of 10/31/21 and had 4 different SW reps tell me I’ve qualified for A List renewal for ‘22. Yet, my account has not been updated to reflect it. Just this morning, I was told that they see in my record that I’ve qualified, but that no one’s will show up until a system-wide update on 12/31. Obviously, that’s false based on what some have written on this thread. I’m concerned because I have one more (expensive!) flight in ‘21 I can convert from a points to a paid business class fare to qualify. The rep this morning said I “absolutely do not need to do that.” Thoughts from those more experienced than I in dealing with Southwest?

@TheMiddleSeat wrote: I suspect the process has been going on so long that most people have received one like you did, when their license was up for renewal. Could be, but I'm thinking a lot of people are just renewing their normal license and not opting to get a REAL ID, because it costs more and you have to jump through so many hoops documentation-wise to get it. In early 2020 before things hit the fan, articles were saying that millions of Americans did *not* have REAL IDs yet, only about 3 in 10 did. (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/real-id-deadline-us-airports-worried-millions-of-americans-wont-have-required-identification-card/) I mean I was one of those millions back then, so things could have changed, but I'm doubting it's improved that much. I'm waiting for this to become "an issue" whenever it finally gets implemented. You know there are going to be some people saying "...but I didn't know!!" when they get can't go through TSA to catch their Southwest flight ;D --Jessica
