Hi @Tserie,
Unfortunately, that is a qualification for this job posting at this time. I've brought this to the Recruiter's attention, and New Orleans positions should be expanded to include Mississippi residents in the future.

I have had this exact problem everytime I try to check in for a flight for the last year and a half, at least. I doesn't matter if I try to check in (hit the retrieve reservation button) 1 second after the 24 hours starts, or 10 seconds or 10 minutes, I get the message below. (photo is also attached). I hit OK, try again and get the same message. I hit OK, and then the 3rd time I try to check in it lets me. The problem is by now you have moved down the A and B boarding position 'food chain' quite a bit. Any help or ideas welcome. It must be a problem with my phone as I can check in from another iPhone (same model with same IOS) no problem. Sorry! We can't check you into this flight. Please see a gate agent. Absolutely no reason to merge or otherwise mess with the reservation to check bags through to final destination. Just ask at the full service check-in counter. --TheMiddleSeat

Yes, we'll close this one out since it's started to include various miscellaneous topics. Everyone, please start a new thread if you have any additional questions. Thanks!

SUPER Disappointed. I didn't realize I was so close to a companion pass until the end of December and looked through all the ways to earn extra points and saw that The Laithwaites Wine offer was based on purchase date, not shipping date @chgoflyer wrote: So, bad news: The 2,000 bonus points posted to my account today, and unfortunately they are not Companion Pass qualifying. 😞 It looks like, as with most Rapid Rewards partners, points earned from regular Laithwaites' purchases do count, but any bonus points do not. . I thought the bonus points counted toward a companion pass as well and it would have put me over. Now I find out it's only the regular purchases that count. I would have booked a hotel with bonus points to put me over had I known.

@lschofield wrote: Kayak long term trends show the prices jumping up quite a bit from March forward as well. Two points here 1) March is spring break time and prices tend to be higher as a result 2)SW has a tendency to price at least some future flights high, and then when seats don't sell, it drops the prices. When that happens, you can turn in your high pried ticket for a lower priced one and receive travel funds that you can use for a future flight.

If the airline suddenly sees a significant drop in passengers out of BWI, then it will likely adjust fares.

I like this visual representation which shows Southwest definitely focuses on some cities, but it's clearly not a hub and spoke model. The problem with hub and spoke, as referred to in the linked article above is smaller cities almost always have to fly through a hub to get somewhere. Southwest will often offer at least one non stop to several cities even from the smallest of cities. Here's another slide showing how they spread their flights around a number of large metro areas. I was trying to find the slide listing their top cities by daily flights. If I remember correctly it's MDW first then DEN? And I think DEN is projected to take number 1 soon. These slides are all from the November 2019 investor presentation, http://www.southwestairlinesinvestorrelations.com/news-and-events/events-and-presentations --TheMiddleSeat

I don't know if this will work for you but I've seen this referenced in other forum discussions: Visit this Southwest Careers FAQ page: https://careers.southwestair.com/faq On that page there is a section titled "I received a confirmation email for a submitted job bid; however when I view my dashboard, the job isn’t listed. Where did it go?". The answer to that question includes separate pages for different job categories and I think you want the one for "Aircraft Maintenance/Technical Operations (May also include administrative positions at a Maintenance base)", which takes you to this page: https://aircraftmaintenance-southwest.icims.com/jobs/intro?hashed=-435768595 The top right corner of that page includes a link with this text "Returning Candidate?Log back in!". I'd try that link Hope this or the other parts of the FAQ page help. Good luck!

The weird thing is, I can "assemble" an itnerary myself with separate SW flights going IAD-LAS and then LAS-RNO on the same day with rasonable connection time and seats available on both flights. But, the SW website won't assemble a similar match. Maybe they need a new IT system as tyhis seems very Wells Fargo! Sad because SW has me soured on flying other sirlines..

@dfwskier wrote: Two points here 1) If you check in via the SW app, then you can save your boarding pass to your photo album where it will remain til you delete it. Then you can print a screenshot of the pass. 2) You can get a flight receipt from the SW website by clicking on past trips. Only flights actually taken show up here. IMO #2 above is the only "sure" way of proving you took a flight. There are lots of times that I've checked in, gotten boarding passes, and then changed my mind and did not take the flights. So a boarding pass IS NOT proof that you took a flight. What do the receipts show, can you only get them for flights flown? That would be the best. Otherwise the same issue exists with email confirmations plus boarding passes - these are strong indicators but it would be possible to change flights after getting a boarding pass. Asking for boarding passes may be a legacy request that was applicable back in the old days.

Sorry that this happened to you. However, Southwest's policy on the matter is quite clear -- and not hidden -- if you mix payment methods to pay for a ticket, and one of them has an expiration date, then all funds used to pay for that ticket adopt that expiration date. You may think other airlines are better, but for the most part, they'll take $200 of your money off the top whenever you change or cancel a flight. Southwest doesn't, but as you learned, you have to pay attention to the rules.

You can both have your own Southwest credit card. By my personal math it makes sense to have the personal Priority card if you fly Southwest at least once per year: Cost: Annual fee of $149 Most easily quantified benefits: $75 Southwest annual travel credit 7,500 anniversary points (I value at more than 1 cent per point so greater than $75) Even without putting any value on upgraded boardings or refunds on inflight purchases I feel like the annual benefits outweigh the annual cost.

@SWDigits wrote: You should be able to do so for both of you (unless both of you both have A-List status, in which case you wouldn't need EarlyBird). I'd get in touch with Southwest using one of the methods listed on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each forum page (Twitter reportedly gets the fastest repsonse, I've used the chat function within the app). I hope this ends up being the solution - if either of you were A-list then the software will block the purchase of EB. I would suggest reaching out by live chat to confirm - they won't be able to add EB since they can't take payment. Twitter could also work if you use that platform - send them a direct message, don't put any identifying information on regular twitter timeline to see what the restriction is and add it if possible. Calling works too of course.
