For Better or Worse,
Full planes equate to more flights to meet the demand.
Partially full flights equate to consolidation of routes to fill the planes especially at a small airport.
I feel you pain on fewer non-stop flights, but I know for a fact you can fly with out a plane change From Islip to PBI via BWI. (At least this was still the case last month since I boarded a plane that came from Islip on my way to PBI)

She can and hopefully will get a RR account. It's pretty easy to add an existing reservation to a RR account. I did it for a friend of ours last month. She asked me to purchase a couple of roundtrip flights and we added the confirmation #'s to her account shortly after the purchase. The only snag I would see is if you try and add your account after the check in period starts or less than 24 hours before a flight. (probably easier to add the flight after for the points at that point.)
Safe travels

So last night flying back from DAL to BWI, I observed something a bit odd. We "lined up" to board our completely full flight, I took my spot at A20, there were quite a few folks lined up in A1-15. I even noticed a couple of Southwest employees "in line." Then I looked to the pre-boarding area and there approximately 15 folks milling around, upon a closer look all were wearing Southwest badges and/or wearing SWA branded clothing. Well the Gate agent announces the start of pre boarding and all 15 of these folks board. Some of the Business select folks were dumbfounded by this, and rightfully so this was just plain nuts. Customers who paid a premium to board early, (Business select and EBCI too I guess), all kind of got the shaft. All these pre-board employees took seats in the forward part of the plane (and not one in a middle seat mind you,)
I was good with my seating position back in an exit row since I had checked bags and knew I was not going anywhere fast on arrival at BWI. Curious how these employees were more important than customers paying a premium to board early and other SWA employees?

I understand both points of view on Wi-Fi, but since Free Wi-Fi is one of the very few perks of A-List Preferred status it would be nice if it worked better. For me personally, I work in a just in time, on call world, and the option to plug in and interact is a financial benefit to my company and ultimately me.
I will say that when the wi-fi is working (and my phone is in airplane mode), it now rings during flights unless I disable the wi-fi calling feature. Just a bit embarrassing 🙄

Sorry, I don't believe rules that you agree to when you make a purchase are ridiculous. Just one more reason to purchase a refundable ticket rather than the "cheapest" ticket that is non-refundable.

Sorry to hear about your issues, since you have internet access use the SWA app to gather this type of info.
If your concerned about flight delays and/or cancellations use the Flightaware App. once you know a particular flight # you can check it's status, but more importantly you can access the "Where is my plane now" feature. This will tell you if the inbound flight is delayed/cancelled. You can also keep going backward and see if a flight left late earlier in the day or last night. I have been fortunate to see a delay on the West coast that was 2 flights before my scheduled flight which allowed me to do some math and figure my flight at BWI was going not going to depart on time, even though SW had not listed a delay yet, (ultimately I rebooked on another flight and got to where I needed to go.) I hate to promote Apps ,but the Flightaware app is awesome
Best of luck

You may want to consider flying on "off" peak days, which vary by location. To echo other comments I have flown several times since the holidays and the planes were not overbooked or full, there were plenty of empty middle seats.
As others mentioned be vaccinated and wear a mask.

That's kind of my point, when I hit 125,000 points in late November, I got multiple "notifications" that my CP was good through December of 2022. I completed the "promotional CP" flights in the 1st week of October, and nothing, nada, no acknowledgement. No responses from social media pings, (Twitter.) In the past I have been very successful in gaining feedback to tweets.
Please remember SWA is my go to airline so my empathy is based on my own experience on this promotion, I would have flown the flights anyway but I purchased them earlier than I would have based on the promotion.

I feel the OP's pain, I registered, I bought the required tickets, and completed the flights in the required time frame and received zero acknowledgement. I reached out repeatedly on twitter and got no response. Nothing showed up in my RR account. Fortunately, I ultimately renewed my annual CP at the end of November by hitting 125,000 points so I stopped worrying about it since it no longer mattered. (Just used a CP this past weekend.)
Just curious any posters here actually get the mini-CP promotion successfully?
Poor form on SWA's part here communication wise, perhaps they just couldn't handle the deluge?

Flying to/from south Florida there isn't a whole to see from 20,000+ feet, now Landing and Taking off depending on the wind direction at PBI and FLL the view can be pretty cool. The view at Miami is not much from my experience based on the flight paths. It's cool flying into Orlando sometimes because Cape Canaveral is visible to the east as you bank into Orlando.
You mileage may vary....

As noted above check with Chase. If you have a significant other perhaps put the new credit card in their name and RR# and work that angle? Since the Chase CC's are related to only one RR member #.
I kicked this idea around a bit myself but worry too much about my Credit score to be moving in and out credit card accounts very often.
Just a thought, good luck

Per SWA policy, changed last year after the US DOT made regulations changes due to extensive abuse by the flying public, "Southwest Airlines® will only allow service dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability to travel with the Customer. The types of disability include a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability and only dogs will be accepted (including those for psychiatric service) — no other species will be accepted as a trained service animal. "
If you have the correct documents and your dog is trained it still flies for free.

Scour your emails for the original purchase which will have the confirmation #'s for everyone, If you bought them "all together" there will likely be only a single confirmation #, but travel funds for your kids will only show up when you enter the confirmation # and the first and last name of your kids individually. (when it's linked to you on your RR# only the funds for you individually will show up travel funds are non-transferable.)
Best of luck

Good thought, but as noted this is a customer forum. When I set up my wife as a companion it flows automatically with her RR# number along with her KTN.
I do this on a full function laptop not a phone or Tablet. "App" Full-functionality can be very suspect with alot of airline websites. Maybe that's the problem?

The statement, "All spending done within the month of December will not apply to your current year pass," is simply not true. My CC statement posted on December 20th for purchases made thru December 18th and the spend/points went to my 2021 spend. (I wish they had been credited to 2022 since I had crossed the 125000 point threshold in November BUT they did NOT.)

Should not be a problem to combine the 2 travel fund credits on the new single purchase as long as the the first and last names on the travel funds match exactly to the first and last name on the new reservation!

I fly into Midway several times a year, I would avoid a connection here in January and February just because of well "The Winter." In the Summer, I typically feel pretty comfortable connecting here.
My "home" airport is BWI and I can usually pivot and recover from any weather issues here because so many flights go thru here and bad weather doesn't typically linger.

I too must say I am/was pretty disappointed in how SWA handled this promotion. I registered, booked, and flew the required flights in the required window and time period, but received ZERO notifications and got NO reply from multiple electronic messages, (emails and tweets.) There was NO acknowledgement of my meeting the requirements of the promotion. I did ultimately qualify for the renewal of my CP at the end of November via the "standard" method.
Just sharing my experience, I am hopeful that Southwest gets back to basics and communicates better to those of us who regularly advocate for the brand.

What airport did this happen at?
Me personally, I've had this happen, but cancellations at the gate are pretty structured. they announce the cancellation on the overhead and tell everyone to go to the desk.
Once a cancellation occurs it also pops up in the SWA app and offers rebooking options, typically I rebook on the best option presented to secure an "option," then I call/research to see if I can book a more preferred alternative time wise or direct fly wise.

Yes you can combine travel funds from different reservations
Yes you can have them "refunded" but not to cash, they go back to the old travel fund with the same expiration date
