This has come up before. My suggestion is to list those as assets in the estate and if they fail to honor the point transfer as any other personal property would occur, file a lawsuit.

What was your specific reason to pre-board? (Not interested in your disability and Please do not share it.)
Just what pre-boarding "need" did you have? need help sitting? stow medical device? extra time?

Hello!
This was the same pet story from TikTok that was parroted all over the internet from last fall.
https://community.southwest.com/t5/Inflight-Experience/Customer-service-fail-booting-customer-for-calming-whimpering/m-p/165093
https://community.southwest.com/t5/Inflight-Experience/Pets-and-opinions-on-SW-not-welcome-on-flights/m-p/165222
I frequently fly aboard the LUV airline as an A-List member and came across this story. I looked at it from a fact-based standpoint. Back then, this was my response:
According to the few outlets in the mainstream press who took the time to fact check and made an effort to try to find out what happened beforehand, Southwest's decision to remove the passenger was made after the woman repeatedly refused to comply with the flight crew's instructions regarding the proper handling of her pet according to an official statement. I do know for a fact that refusing to obey the instructions of any crew member is grounds for refusal to transport. I think this fact alone makes all those headlines (e.g. "Woman Removed From Flight For Petting Dog") inaccurate and possibly unfair or defaming to the airline. The headline could in fact very well be "Woman Removed from Southwest Flight for Refusal to Cooperate with Crew Instructions to Comply with FAA Pet Regulations."
https://community.southwest.com/t5/Inflight-Experience/Pets-and-opinions-on-SW-not-welcome-on-flights/m-p/165225/highlight/true#M7505
I went on and posted that it would be totally foolish of me to stop flying Southwest based on this video or to take any sides on this story. To this date, I still don't know what led up to the incident. But I've had my share of crew instructions and actions that I didn't like such as the crew needing to keep the cabin lights turned on during a recent night flight but if those requests or actions are in fact lawful and righteous, I obey without complaint.
To those who follow my posts regularly well know that I enjoy photo-blogging my trips and take a window seat...but I'm not above the rules of the crew. I prefer if they turned the main lights off as they usually do so I can capture night photos of the scenery without a glare, but if they need to keep the lights on for the duration of the flight for whatever reason especially safety, I obey without question. FAA rules regulate that passengers need to obey the rules enforced by the flight crew. If I start creating a scene about this and refuse to comply with the crew's decision about the cabin lights, I too may get the boot.
I would be very careful about making travel decisions based on one person's point of view published to social media regarding a pet incident, even if that point of view gets a viral worldwide reaction.

You raise a good point. If the $1,000 was intended as compensation for the HOLIDAY DISASTER then you could argue that those credits shouldn't expire.
I would be a proponent of extending the time on the $1,000 credits, or surrender them for cash at 50% of face value.

No, the announcement wasn't that benign. We were told that the plane would not move until two people changed their seats.
I'd say it is time for an investigation.

SoCalFlyer97 can't speak for the entire year, but later this winter, the destination I'm looking forward to the most will be a combined Business Trip and Personal Trip to LAS with a stay at one of Vegas' historic landmarks.
Usually my trips to LAS are day-trippers purchased during a sale; I fly in early in the morning from SAN, take care of my business, check out some sights if time permits, and return home in the late afternoon or evening. However this time I will be staying in LAS with a three-night stay at an inn that many people including the hotel's website itself say is "haunted"--The old and original Hotel Apache in Downtown Las Vegas that once catered to the builders of the Hover Dam.
Looking at the pictures, Apache resembles a depression-era interior design. Built in the early 1930's, the rooms are small and chances are I'm going to need to use either the room's HVAC system or my phone as white-noise to muffle out all the late-night partygoing down on Fremont Street. However, Apache's low prices combined with its rich history showed me that this place was a great deal.
During my hotel shopping, I learned that Apache proudly boasts that the place is "haunted" with anonymous quotes describing various noises and things magically getting moved. I don't believe that haunted spirits are going to move my things from one corner of the room to the other, nor are they the source of when the building creeks or groans due to settling. I often find my things in odd places simply because I was tired and forgot that I left them there.
The business portion of the trip involves a two-day, dual-convention at the LV Convention Center. That meant all of the big hotels in the area were charging huge room rates. Westgate for example is located next door to the convention center; a few weeks ago, it posted a $1,420 price tag for the three nights on Southwest Hotels which excluded taxes and $119.97 in resort fees for the stay (although those 19,000 CP-Eligible points looked very tempting). At the time of the post, Westgate was sold out.
Both at the time of reservation and at the time of this post, the "haunted" Apache hotel is still priced at $133 for all three nights with no resort fee ($150 total after taxes) with 1,000 points with a short RTC bus ride to the convention center area; 3-day bus pass is only $20 which also covers travel to/from LAS airport. Looking at the pictures and reviews, this little inn above the old Binion's has my name on their reservation list through Southwest Hotels.
For the record, I also reviewed the nearby Downtowner Boutique Hotel with similar base pricing and a modest $22.60 resort fee. That too looked like a nice little place to stay; however its location was a few blocks east of the Fremont Experience and little too far of a walk from the RTC bus route that would have fed me into the convention center. The Four Queens was my second choice at $236 total after taxes for the stay with no resort fee.
I booked the SW flight a few weeks ago during an "As low as $44" Fare Sale and locked in a $59 SAN-LAS flight each way. Amazingly enough, the fares from last week's WOW40 sale were actually priced higher than the $44 sale.
Looking forward to to this trip.

I had a flight from Baltimore to Oakland. This flight was supposed to board at 5:04 and depart at 5:35. We waited until 6 just to get on the plane where we proceeded to wait another hour, due to “imbalanced luggage”. So in other words the workers packed it wrong and it resulted in a massive delay. We are finally departing now at 7:15. Completely unacceptable people should know how to do their job. Period. These people should have corrective action/write ups issued.
Hello-
I would forward your inquiry to Southwest Customer Service directly as this a customer-to-customer forum.
https://www.southwest.com/html/customer-service/
It appears that you are currently traveling this morning by the looks of your post. You can also speak to any available Southwest Gate CSA at OAK should you get this reply upon arriving at OAK before going to Ground Transportation. I would relay any facts related to your delay to the CSA and whether it resulted in any missed connections or appointments, or has led to any other hardships. Try not to let emotion drive the inquiry; I would stick with the facts.
Southwest baggage handlers are usually very good of properly balancing the weight of the luggage compartment area of the plane and I assume they have standard protocol to follow when packing this area to ensure even weight distribution which is required for the safety of the flight. Southwest is also usually good at addressing imbalances quickly but by the looks of your post, it appears that there was an exception somewhere that resulted in an additional tarmac delay of about 45 minutes in addition to the initial 56 minute delay and the regular 30 minutes needed to get everybody boarded.
Not sure if your overall situation would qualify for a LUV Voucher as your total delay was in excess of 90 minutes but it would be worth checking when you inquire. Hope this helps.

I suppose I should clarify. I understand that preboard and business select/ A boarding passes first no matter what. Specifically I am referring to who boards directly after them. The individuals who board between the A group and B group.
You don’t need to clarify, it was clear.
A-list members without A Numbers should be in front of family boarding.
If you see a “situation” developing just work your way up to the front or jump in at “A61” and ask “A-list?” and you should be good.
Actually, I did that 3-4 months ago at DEN. The agent confirmed familes first. Next time, if there is a next time, I intend to have a quiet conversaton with the agent telling the person that he/she is not following company policy and that if he perissists that I will report him by name to the company. Then I'll ask for his name.
I have learned that employees are pretty afraid of being reported - by name. I'll share why at some point in the future.

guess is that if you call southwest and say you would like a refund, they will tell you that there is no policy on seat saving and tell you that you could have sat in that seat. It's several years after your post and the same seat saving is still being done today. At this point, I do not think it will ever change. Southwest got their money and that is where they stopped caring.

I don't think there is enough traffic to take from United to make it worthwhile.
Taking people from OMA is great except if those are already Southwest customers then it doesn't make sense to spend a bunch of money to start a station at LNK if the passengers are already using OMA.
Your other point driving an hour to OMA - that's about how far I have to go time-wise living in the Chicago suburbs to get to MDW. I'd consider hour-long trip to the airport to be normal for many cities.
As @5280Av8r pointed out the key here would be identifying what the best point to point route would be - where are people from LNK going now that they have trouble going on United?
Otherwise Southwest would likely connect this location to Denver and Houston the same as United does.

You cannot, under the law, require a preboard passenger to be delayed at exiting the plane. In fact, it would be more logical for them to exit the plane before anyone else.
Keeping a passenger on the plane against their will would result in a lawsuit for illegal detention and arrest.

I personally think Southwest could make Burlington work with daily flights to Baltimore as well as a nonstop to Orlando. That said, I believe there are other cities more likely to see Southwest service before Burlington does.

You can bring this cushion as a "free" item.
Per SWA, you have the right to travel with an assistive device.
The U.S. Department of Transportation* defines an assistive device as "any piece of equipment that assists a passenger with a disability in coping with the effects of his or her disability."
You have a disability. This cushion helps you cope, relieving pain or allowing you to be more mobile when you get up. You do not need to explain your disability but, as mentioned upstream, I would clear it with the gate agent just so you don't get pulled out of the boarding line to answer questions...and possibly lose your boarding place.
So, you should be able to take the following on board: 1. Carry-on bag: Place above seat
2. Personal Item: Must fit under the seat in front of you. I would place your medications in this smaller personal item bag...just in case your carry-on bag needs to be gate checked.
3. Assistive Cushion
Safe travels!

We use air tags in our luggage. We know exactly where they are and if anyone tells us otherwise, we show them the tracking.
I anticipate a new level of debate with the advent of air tags. If Southwest "claims" that your bags are in Houston, but your own device shows them to be at your home airport sitting in the back, who's information will be regarded as primary?
It is time for Southwest to modernize their luggage policies. I see too many cases where people are complaining about luggage. And, in the other post, if Southwest observed that the package was overstuffed and susceptible to damage, the article should have been refused.
Also, anyone trying to bring an item on a plane that is oversized, or the number of articles exceed the count and type, I am proposing that the FAA levy a fine of $1,000 which must be immediately paid in order to fly. No exceptions.

Also, which is better under the circumstances:
Business Select with A1-A15 priority boarding, or
Anytime fares with EarlyBird check-in?
Back to your original question I think the usefulness of these are different.
For the little extra money to go from Anytime to BS I would say always go BS to get the 12x points and earlier position. It is leaps and bounds better when comparing the two refundable options.
Other than the possibility of through passengers previously discussed, preboarders who usually take the front few rows, you'll be one of the first ones on so very good chances for something towards the front or exit row. Note that I often see through passengers just stay where they are and not take the exit rows FWIW.
Anytime with EBCI is getting you after all of the A-list so you might still be good for an aisle or a window but there will probably be 30 or so people before you and sometimes more.
