My advice is to be patient. Southwest is hiring thousands of people this summer, and those recruiters are working their hardest and doing their best. As long as it doesn't change to 'closed complete', you're still in the green! Hang in there and I hope you hear something soon. 🙏

Unfortunately, there probably won't be anyone available to check the status of your application because of the volume of applicants. However, I have been seeing posts that emails have started going out about confirmations. Just keep an eye on your email and dashboard over the next few days. Good luck and I hope you hear something soon!

🤔 Now that I think about it, I think you're technically right. My brain is in the clouds rn. Lol. The denial could be talking about after an interview. I'll have to do more digging on this for my own knowledge.

I believe if you get a denial, it's also a year to re-apply. Try again next time, and hopefully it all works out!

Unfortunately, this is how it is with popular job postings on this site. There are a lot of people that want to work for Southwest, and the number of applications they receive is insane... even though it was only up for a few hours! The same thing happens with the Flight Attendant position every time it gets posted. Keep your head up, and check out all the other amazing job postings!

Keep trying! You have a year before you can reapply to CS&S, but with all the other positions, you are good to go!

Please be patient as they restore full functionality of the site. They will email those they still need resumes from, if it did not work. They will also email confirmations soon. Check other posts that have the green check mark next to them. A representative for Southwest has commented on most of those posts with official info for specific scenarios.

I don't think so, but I would recommend typing tests. You'll need to extra proficient with a keyboard! I would also recommend just putting on a podcast (or something with dialogue) and typing along with it, trying to keep up as best you can. Basically, anything to simulate listening to a customer call and taking notes.

The city codes is the big one, but you'll do training modules and almost everything you do has a mini-test.

I used to check the site multiple times a day, but now I do a whole batch once or twice a week. I can't just leave everyone hanging! Lol.

It's nothing to worry about.
'Closed Complete' is the only one to really keep an eye out for. It means the posting has been closed, and other candidates are being pursued.
Keep checking your email for correspondence, be patient, and good luck!

@mseti1926 @Yocity2022 I cannot stress enough to be patient. Southwest is hiring more people in 2022 than ever before. It is a group of humans, not automated robots, doing everything, and they are doing their best to get to everyone. You haven't been forgotten! Your day will come soon and we are all so eager to meet our new co-hearts. Hang in there!

I don't think it's a spam email. SW just changed a major functionality of their employee page. It went live yesterday, and it is called Workday.
I wouldn't worry about the req#. In the end, it didn't matter for me. I never even knew my req# and didn't need it for anything, ever. I'm sure that's something for internal use only. As long as your dashboard is still active and doesn't say 'Closed Complete', you're good. 😊

It's put it random order, kind of. They will give you the city, and you type in the code. It is not multiple choice, so make sure you know the codes backwards and forwards! 😀
You'll also get practice tests beforehand, so you will know where you need to focus.

So, I never actually received an email for it either, but apparently it was already done. I didn't have to fill anything out or do anything. I've been working on the ramp since April, and it hasn't been mentioned at all. I think you'll be good... And if they do need something from you, don't worry, they'll let you know during your first week. 😊

Check out the careers page and start applying! As long as you were in good standing when you left and it's been at least a year, you should be in the clear to apply for whatever you want. Good luck!

If you feel like having a nice, healthy splurge on an amazing meal, Dakota's downtown is the place to be. I had the best pork chop of my life there. The steaks were delicious and the staff was first class. We all sampled each others meats. The filet was literally melting in our mouths. I highly recommend it. It's fancy, and it is a wonderful experience.

I remember the feeling! 😀 Luckily, you get to work in that nice Cali weather! Definitely use this time to study your city codes. At this rate, you'll ace that test on the first day! ✔️💯

Right now, I work 8 hours, 5 days a week. I give away a shift at least once a week (I love to sleep). The long hours can be optional. Some people choose to take the rest (or all) of another persons shift, and some sign up for OT. I have seen people get mandatory OT, and the most I've seen is 6 hours extended, and its usually only 1 or 2 people. I, personally, have not been extended or picked up shifts. Not all stations have the luxury of being fully staffed, so this is not always the case. As rampers, we go in everyday knowing that getting extended is always a possibility. 🙃

I don't think it's gated from that side. You'll have to enter where the SW Store is.

The Burbank Station is literally right next to TOPS. You can see/hear the trains going by all day. Seems super convenient. Check out the satellite view + Transit option on Google Maps. You can see the Green and Orange lines will both take you to Burbank Station and it's a short walk to the entrance from there. 😊
