I'm glad to hear of this. My only disappointment for SWA, all airlines, and airports, nobody does a temperature scan. I'm sure that somebody who has flu symptoms, but is dire to get to their destination, is still going to try and do it by air if they can. Maybe it's just me, but it would give me one more level of security to continue to keep flying.

That's why some of us are here. Unlike those that sign in one time just to complain, I know there are those of us that more than not, try to be helpful. I actually joined up to just get information, and then decided to try and be helpful. Glad you were helped as I was.

I can appreciate your thoughts, I wish SW did more upper midwest flights as well. Maybe soon if we all keep commenting the suggestion. On another note, I've become more aware that not everybody, myself included, knows the airport code alpha's. So I have added the name to go with my comments. Example: ABQ (Albuquerque) It helps those of us that don't have knowledge to all this code names for airports.

For me in the past I'm usually notified via email and on the points circle when you go to your account page. It should show on the account page, "You've reached AList status, or you've earned enough points for a companion pass. I've never needed to contact anyone.

I'm sure SWA will follow the pattern of the COVID and not other airlines. But I've seen them be proactive up to this point, so I don't anticipate anything different in the future. Since it is assumed that a possible increase of outbreaks will happen when the cooler flu season hits, they will extend the no middle seat policy.

That is sad to know. I'm going to get my first A-List preferred, and my drive to do so was for the free wifi. Maybe I won't make that a priority in the future. I'm so close now, might as well get it this time around.

And maybe this is the COVID's fault too. You're right Chicgoflyer. Now that I think of it, maybe it wasn't the home page, but the my account page. Went there today and there it was. I guess I had thought it was HOME.

That link was far from solving the issue. If something wasn't broke in this case, they shouldn't have tried to fix it. With the old button, tab, link, whatever you want to call it, you just click on it and every travel fund you have banked was in it WITH the confirmation number and the AMOUNT. Your way means I have to know the confirmation number, and then have to feed it into the system to find out the amount. And then for any others the same thing. What would be better than click a "tab" and see all of them at once with the confirmation numbers.

Your post would only be correct if it stated, "Masks aren't 100% safe." Since you didn't your statement is false. Maybe as you put it, a little more research is in order. And honestly, if you're that sensitive about being reminded to keep your mask on, I can send a link to Psychology Today if needed. I hate wearing the dang mask, but I do, and not because I'm told, because I research. If you can prove me wrong, more power to you. Show me a link to data that shows MASKS, are 100% proven not to work at all. No doctor in the entire world has made a statement they are 100% effective. Since I still fly, I can say, I've wanted to extend my comments of "Keep your friggen mask on," to way too many people who get into the terminal and take it off. You got to vent, thanks for letting me. Have a wonderful day.

WOW, and I was looking into flights to Denver, Colorado, and what pops up, Flights to Steamboat Springs!!! And flying from Albuquerque, NM the fares were OUTSTANDING. So I actually looked into booking late for the 3 day weekend. What I found out, i can fly there for around 250, but going to spend $700 in rental cars, lodging and meals for 3 days. That is if there are any rental cars left.

this post is from quite a while back. I'm like you, I see all SWA employees adhering to the guidelines of mask-wearing. Flying to Dallas in a few weeks, maybe I will report back in after that what I see.

Does anyone know why, or where, the TRAVEL FUNDS button on the SW home page went? It use to be right there in your face very visible on the far left side of the banner. Now the put a "Chance/Cancel button there, which is odd because just above that banner is another CHANGE/Cancel option link? I'd love to have it where you log in and there it is right in your face once again, PLEASE.

Since I book 90% of the time through SW Booking.com (and just did this Monday and Tuesday this week) I've not had any issues do so. I'd say I book about 20 rooms per year for the past 5 years. With that said, I also find your reply to be odd, not saying it isn't true, just odd. For one, I've never had any airlines, including SWA ever tell me it was their fault when something went wrong. Maybe you're the fortunate one, but nobody I've ever known has ever told me that either. I'm sorry that you are experiencing any issues and hope they get resolved. I checked this morning and already had my 1,000 points from the first stay.

I haven't had any issues with changing flights and I do it all the time. The only thing I learned is that if you have a companion on the flight, you have to cancel their flight first, as they won't cancel your flight, you will get a message that it can't be done because a companion is attached to it.

I would agree, you have two paid tickets, therefore, your child has the right to a seat. In this case, do as suggested, place them by the window, and then you can sit in the aisle seat. Most people will see that someone is in the seat and shouldn't ask about the seat, but if they do, just inform them the seat is taken. If your preference isn't to have the child by the window in flight, once they close the doors to the plane you can quickly move to the window and then place your child in the middle seat to be by them.

I hope this happens for you. However, there are still dinosaurs like me who still uses a phone that is about 12 years old. I don't get apps, nor anything other than a phone call and occasional text. So I would be your adversary if SWA said they were going to go to app-only drink coupons.

Not quite the solution. You're assuming that there is another non-stop flight. I have a trip from NM to CALI which was a non-stop (actually to of them) One to LAX and the other to San Jose. Both were non-stop, now they both are with connections. When I got the email to make a change I went in and looked. NONE, ZERO, NODDA, non-stop flights at all even at red eye times. And we are talking about flights for less than 2.5 hours. I'm just saying.

I will start this by answering your question. Yes, I've seen an increase in fares over the past 2 weeks. It was something that I knew would be coming when travel picked back up. So I'm wondering why you didn't jump on the 49 fares when you had the chance. Even if you didn't fly you could bank that money towards a flight you were sure you were taking. Just like I've seen with motels, diners, (they were holding 2 for 1 price specials where I live) things will be going up.
